Tu Guesthouse

Chris and Julio are the best hosts. We know after years of traveling how rare it is to find their quality. Almost everything good has been said by other 5-star reviewers, so we will try to give a little more insight into what guests experience. First, you literally move into their home, which they recently decided to remodel as a B-and-B. They divided it in half and guests have private rooms with ensuite baths and a comfortable common area that Julio and Chris only enter to serve breakfast and check on your needs. Every room is immaculately clean, bright and airy, and the attention to detail is astonishing. It is like they are studying 5-star luxury hotels as their guide. The beds are top-tier, and the sheets have too many threads to count. They even sat us down after a few days and asked what they could improve. Finally, we cannot overestimate the value of how plugged into their community they are. They seem to literally know everyone and have a solution to every question or problem. Need a bird guide? They make a call. Need to rent a car on Sunday. They arrange to meet the owner in his house shoes. Need advice on flights to London or a hotel in Santiago? They got you covered. They worry about your budget and go out of their way to make sure you love the Falklands as much as they do. They are simply the best.

Amazing place to stay! Chris and Julio have created a wonderful guesthouse, and they are the very best of hosts. Our rooms were clean and warm, and breakfast was yummy. A huge bonus was Julio's brilliant tours — his encyclopedic knowledge of the Falkland's fascinating history enriched our stay on the Islands. I can't recommend Tu Guesthouse enough. Chris and Julio are amazing people! They help with everything that you need and their scrambled eggs are very delicious.
The guesthouse is a short distance to all important sightseeing places and restaurants. The rooms are really cozy and spacious. In every detail perfectly! Thanks for the great time on Falkland Islands, you really made it special to me!

Visted the Falklands for the first time staying at TU guesthouse, both of us found the accommodation very comfortable with owners being welcoming and helpful. The guest house is located close to the penquins colony, would have no hesitation to stay here again.

Myself and my colleague stayed here for 5 nights and could not have wished for more. Rooms were spotless and the breakfast was fantastic a real home from home.

I loved this little guesthouse run by Chris and Julio, a charming couple. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and it was warm. The breakfast was first rate: Julio’s guacamole on toast was delicious. It’s up a hill above the cemetery, a short walk from the centre of town, but you feel as though you are in a local neighbourhood, experiencing what it’s really like to live in Stanley. Chris was full of good tips on what to see and do. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience in the Falklands! Both, accommodation, and tours were really the best. On the accommodation side, nothing could be better. The room is super comfortable, and everything works perfect (shower pressure, toilet, etc). I also was able to have my English breakfast tea before bed. The temperature of the room was perfect too.
Super complete breakfast with ham, cheese, croissants, toasts, juice, etc, etc. Never better!
About the tours, the exclusivity was a key topic. The expertise and kindness of Julio made our trip different in the best sense. We visited all the places agreed at the beginning but always Julio was there to provide us with his “bonus track” to visit additional places. I will not forget the hiking into the Mount Tumbledown. Thanks for that Julio!
At last, wanted to say thank you again to Julio & Chris for the hospitality together with their human quality. They are the best hosts!. We (my father and I) will not forget our 7 days in the Islands.
