Staying at Villa Araliya was a truly enchanting experience. The traditional ambiance of the place transported me to a serene retreat, creating a perfect blend of comfort and cultural richness. The culinary delights served were a feast for the senses, offering a delectable taste of local flavors. What sets this villa apart is the delightful company of various animals that roam freely, adding a touch of joy and playfulness to the surroundings. The highlight for me was the unique opportunity to swim alongside a friendly turtle in the pool, making it an unforgettable stay. Villa Araliya is not just accommodation; it's a magical haven where nature, tradition, and relaxation converge seamlessly.

Villa Araliya in Negombo is simply breathtaking! ♥️ The place is even more beautiful than the photos depict. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the pool is huge and inviting. The ambiance is peaceful and serene, and it's conveniently located near the beach. The food prepared by their talented chef is out of this world. And the owner is the kindest person I've ever met. I can't recommend Villa Araliya enough. It's a true paradise that exceeded all my expectations. I can't wait to go back! ♥️

We were only here for one night but it was the perfect first place to stay.

Villa Araliya was a great start to our trip in Sri Lanka. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. They made us an excellent rice and curry dinner on our first night. Breakfast was also lovely, really great omelettes. The rooms are basic but clean and a good size. The resident terrapin is very cute!

It is a nice small hotel but with big rooms and apartments. We've stayed in a apartment which has ample space including two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a pantry.
Spacious living area, balconies for each room. Eco type villa design and calm environment. Once ai visit the there, I actually felt that the place is better than the impression it gives via promotional pictures.
Nice pool which is actually better than the pictures. Our 2 year old son enjoyed for hours.
We were the only guests of the day due to less traveling caused by the pandemic.
Hotel also has some activities for kids but those facilities require some renovation. Some maintenance work was going on so guess they'll be addressed.
Hotel only serves vegetarian food. No hard liquor serving. This is quite unique experience to me and helps to experiencing a more family friendly calm stay.
Just walking distance to beach, restaurants and souvenir shops etc.
Owner and staff were friendly and so supportive. They made every effort to make our stay a pleasant one which actually made our stay a wonderful 💓 one.

We stayed in a beautiful and clean two-story villa. We really enjoyed our stay, very friendly staff and nice food and a good pool. Close to the beach and good restaurants are nearby. We liked Lords and Petit Restaurant.

Beautifully laid out compound — family managed and every wish is taken care of. The friendliest staff I have come across, you can really feel that everyone loves working there. Its also the only place in Sri Lanka where you get wood-oven fired Pizza which is serious competition to Italy. I highly recommend to stay here to get started in Sri Lanka. You will get the best advice, food, drivers and are able to relax in the beautiful pool or rooms. 5 Stars — you wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

Very classic architecture and pool with a vegetarian kitchen. The rooms are very nicely managed with beautiful interior. Mosquitoes are problem if one is not prepared well, and this is the case with most of Sri Lanka. I highly recommend this place for tourists.

Perfect place to get started in Sri Lanka, or to chill out and relax before going home. Villa Araliya has a nice pool, really nice rooms with beautiful — antique looking — furniture. AC everywhere, Wi-Fi at the bar, all rooms have a terrace or balcony. The food is delicious and vegetarian only. Make sure to get some Pizza here — the owner lived in Italy for 5 years. He knows how to make pizza! and of course check out rice&curry. Breakfast can be Sri Lankan or continental — I would go for Sri Lankan anyway.
it's walking distance to the beach and the main street for shopping.
I especially like that everything looks designed and thought-through. E. G. There are leave imprints on the concrete tiles and the concrete table next to the pool.

The rooms are large and decorated with taste. And thanks to the thick walls, half cool. The pool is wonderful. The grunpiece is home to cats, dogs a confident turtle and many birds come to visit. A quiet, relaxed place. Even so, the hotel is a bit overrated. After the great description in the Lonely Planet, we would have expected more.

Best place to stay in Negombo!

Great quality accommodation (apt 3) with exceptional staff, service and facilities.

Best in town, very friendly Boss and Family! The only place in Sri Lanka for real and tasty Pizza! ;) If you need a bus with driver, ask for Shuresh! He is a very good and save driver and a guide with a lot of local knowledge! But dont buy Jewellery in Sri Lanka!

Lovely place. Very clean, well maintained room. I'd go as far as saying spotless. Relaxing pool. Friendly staff.
