A wonderful retreat to re focus your energies and get balanced again. Ayurvedic experts help put a plan for you in terms of herbal medicines for various ailments as well as an Ayurvedic philosophy diet and massage treatment schedule. The yoga classes were great.

What an amazing place this is! It is easy to detox and recharge when surrounded by such beautiful nature, inspiring artwork and dedicated, kind people who supply you with all the support you need. Whatever the package you choose you will enjoy delving into the world of Ayurveda, yoga and meditation and readjusting your daily routine and habits after. Far removed from daily distractions and temptations, you can focus on your body, mind and soul (tip: go on your own if you can and min 5 — 10 days) The vegan, gluten free diet is excellent and so tasty, the regular cooking demonstrations are inspiring (buy the recipe book — it is very well put together) Both Selina and Bernardo were kind and gentle instructors, always pacing the class according to the group and general energy levels.
If like me you struggle with heat and humidity, I would recommend a room with AC! I did not think I would need it but the combination of heat and mosquitoes finally wore me out. Still I left with one eye crying, the other smiling and would certainly consider returning. Made a few new friends along the way. Plantation Villa is a very special place, not least because of its social enterprise.

If you are looking for a good place to reset from a nonstop life Plantation Villa is absolutely the best place. With great people you will definitely enjoy and be able to rest and focus on yourself.

All I can say is that I didn’t stay long enough! I learned about my body and how it can heal naturally whilst being in beautiful surroundings! I highly recommend Plantation Villa!

Had a lovely 3 weeks at this beautiful villa … did the full Ayurveda and feel energised and ready to take on life again! The staff are wonderfull, the food is delicious, the yoga teachers Katya and Maria are so warming, patient and friendly … and the whole retreat grounds was very calming with animals everywhere … I felt like Snow White wondering through the woods with the rabbits, chickens, monkeys, squirrels, ducks …
The rooms are basic with no Tv, limited Wi-Fi, common blackouts — but it all added to the ambiance of the place. (They do have a generator for the blackouts)
Get an Air con room as it does get hot during the day! Te standard rooms are in the lodge and quieter but no air con!
This is a Authentic Ayurveda retreat, and be prepared to get a healing from it with Daily oily massages, Ayurveda treatments and natural plant based medicines.
I did my research for a good Ayurveda retreat and I’m glad I found Plantation villa. Thank you to all the staff and animals for a wonderful peaceful stay!

Things You May Like To Know Before You Go To There
After 9 months of traveling around many countries, A friend recommended me to this place — Plantation Villa. I was looking forward for relaxation and improve my physical wellbeing which turns out to be total disaster.
The process started from the booking to the last minute at this place Even had to ask for the refund! So sad! ’ Booking here is all depends how lucky you are. You are treated differently for the same amount of money paid. You may get a room L6. Very small room with a small bed. They will tell you no one complained about it. Well, many people called that a room for punishment.
The business have no idea what hospitality means! Any guest feedback to them will refuted and they call that you are the only one to complain.
I don’t recommend to anyone to this place. Don’t even bother yourself to go there.

A great place to re energise and high quality ayurvedic medicine and treatments. The main villa is calm and welcoming. The yoga space is surrounded by nature and the beautiful buddha statue is part of the space. The food aids good health and the location in a Sri Lankan village offers a unique experience. The grounds of the plantation are beautiful.

Amazing retreat, simple people and great spirituality. The environment is not too pretentious and very relaxed. Doing yoga and meditation with Bernardo was one of the best experience of my life.

You can immediately feel that the whole concept is based on love and giving and these words describe the owner Ishara. We started every day with incredibly experienced yoga instructor, Bernardo. I really enjoyed his classes because he gave every individual 100% attention and his knowledge about yoga, meditation and spiritual way of living is immense. There are four doctors available every week: Nishan, Erandi, Ruwanka and Asanka. Each of them is an expert in their field and I really liked that they all cooperate and consult themselves on therapies and medicines. Some therapies are unusual, but you have to be open-minded and trust them, because they really know what they are doing. The food was incredible, every meal was carefully planned and prepared with love. Every day we had additional activities, such as cooking demonstration, planting trees, walks around the plantation and at evenings different discussions about meditation, yoga, ayurveda, buddhism, food… My state of health in the plantation has improved and I am grateful that I got a new family on this beautiful South Asian island. Plantation Villa has become my spiritual guide and I will return there.

Nice retreat for it's price. The staff is nice, rooms are clean en spacious and food good (once you get used to Ayurvedic diet). Still, the place is lacking areas to rest away from everybody or a nice area to enjoy the pool. On the yoga side, the place is amazing to practice but do not expect advance classes here. There is a lot of beginners attending.

This was definitely the best vacation, we have had ever.
Usually we need a holiday after a vacation, but after our 2-week stay at Plantation Villa, our batteries were fully charged. We had chosen the weight loss package, but a no time did we feel exhausted or had cravings for more food.
And we DID loose weight ☺ … We cannot point a finger at anything at The Plantation.
The entire staff is so nice and the surroundings are fantastic look at the pix). We had never practiced yoga before, but the yoga teachers Gary & Raquel are ever so nice and welcoming, so we felt comfortable right from the beginning. The meals served at the Villa are all nutritionally balanced and prepared with minimal oil and no artificial flavorings.
It is a set menu. And actually we liked not to have to decide what to eat. Just as well as we liked, that there is no TV, radio etc. Unlike the announcement on the airplane, this was:
