The hotel was brilliant with large rooms enough for all of my family. The buffet was excellent and delicious even though with less varieties of food. Moreover. The pools were really clean and it was cheap. The hotel room price really worthed for a day and I really enjoyed it. Reay enjoyed it and hoping to visit again soon! :) Thank you @Avani Bentota for allowing us to review about your hotel. Hope to come again soon.

The staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. They also were able to recommend places to get any type of meal that we needed as well. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

Avani Bentota one of the most relaxing place with south coast beach. During this prevailing situation they do provide an excellent service to their guests. Safety measures have been taken accordingly to the government regulation. Specially they do provide a personalized service to their guests. During our breakfast time staff member Subash came to our table and served us personally.

Best ever pool person. And maintenance. Team quick response I think I have covered all during my 3 wonderful days. We are coming back next year to experience the food hospitality and spa. Good place to relax, not far away from Colombo. The views are beautiful and relaxing. Has a large garden. Buffet was average and had a decent spread. Friendly and efficient staff. Check-in process took a long time and the rooms were not available at the standard check-in time of 2pm. Parking spaces available were not adequate on busy days.

Avani Bentota is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The location is heavenly; right next to the ocean with a great beach right across the yard. The hotel is artistically kept at 2 or maximum 3 floors to get the best of experience of beach and other outdoor facilities, especially the two swimming pools. I'm here for a conference but I felt so bad that I couldn't share this awesome experience with my family. I would love to return with my family.

Room 202 is located on the second floor, access directly to the pool, restaurant, ocean 50 meters away.
The room is large, about 75 meters, initially thought that the room is smaller for us just will not be comfortable, although was of course cheaper.

Who has babies, we will understand — gathering on the beach is a small ritual — cream, sleeves, a bunch of little things in the form of molds for sand, etc.
We came out of the room, went down and you by the pool and the beach. On the second day it was so familiar that 12 days passed unnoticed)

The children were delighted, although at first glance the lack of children's animation and etc. Confused us a little, although we did not go for it — wanted calm, ocean, lack of many sunbeds in front of his nose and, I'm sorry, compatriots in abundance.
During our stay in Bentot, we met two couples who, as usual, pretended that they do not see anything)

The hotel itself is certainly not new, but everything is worthy. Everything is intertwined with the local color and harmoniously looks. You need to make a discount that it's 5 not in Europe, it's Asia!

Me and my wife had a very pleasant two nights in this hotel. We were planned this trip since it was our second anniversary. We had a great well come from the Hotel, Even though the Friday night meal was not alluring dinner to us rest of the meals were very tasty and well served. Hotel's rooms are little bit smaller than the other hotels rooms which we were stayed. Part of the Hotel's was under constructions which didn't disturb us though the management should informed us at the time of booking was made. They made us surprise by sending us a special cake in our anniversary night and it's taste was very very good and I want thanks for that and to the Hotel Staff.

Great place to relax and unwind. I would definitely recommend the deluxe rooms. They are very spacious with all the 'creature comforts' that one desires. Not to mention the great food and friendly & helpful staff. Been there many times.

The location of this resort is absolutely brilliant. Located right across the beach, every evening watching the sun set is magical. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the food served during breakfast and dinner was delicious, and almost all amenities were flawless. Unfortunately the first room that was given to us was a bit faulty; the AC wasn't in good condition. The next room they shifted us to was perfect. Also, their table tennis table and equipment is absolute trash. I can't imagine why they'd want to keep that there considering that this is a 5 star resort. All in all it was a good vacation at AVANI, only a few minor hiccups occurred.

This is a lovely hotel which offers u a lovely view of benthota beach. Staff was amazing. We r here to celebrate our son's birthday n our wedding anniversary. Spent 5 lovely nights at Avani. A really great stay. Just a shame that after leaving a piece of clothing there and calling the day after 'nothing was found'. A little bit unusual as the clothing was in the room.

The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. Very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Peace and security. And chipmunks, running around to buy me nuts and soaring by the pool flying dogs-it incredible emotions) ) )

The food was amazing, catered for every pallet and a special mention to Chef Jude for adding Kottu to the buffet Kids have thoroughly enjoyed their experience here at Avani and so have we. Great relaxing hotel, worth a visit. Situated near nice beaches. Food excellent, not cheap but if you are on holiday it's a nice experience. The staff in the bar are great especially the lady who always has a smile on her facr.

Avani is a beautiful property right at the beach. The property is well maintained largely however there can be some evening mosquito and due to the greener pastures just outside the rooms we also observed a cockroach in our room. Also the staff needs to be better prepared to handle guests and also needs more training in English language for better service. The rooms are big and very comfy and the property otherwise is clean.

Very nice hotel, beautiful grounds and clean beach. The spa is highly recommended. Two beautiful pools. Nice and friendly staff. Good food. A railway line goes behind the hotel, but at night the trains do not drive, so it is not annoying when sleeping.

Very nice island but very complicated for eaten and a bit expensive.

A lot of rooms in the property and also a lot of room for improvement too. Guest relations can still go a long way. A great place to relax in general but can be better given the reputation. Towels and toilet maintenance can be improved a great deal. AC maintenence in terms of sound could help a better sleep quality.

The Hotel is very well located right on the Beach and offers everything you need for a relaxing Vacation. The Pool is very good, Rooms spacious and clean. Recommended are The Rooms with Sea Views on the Ground floor in the rear Block. Very quiet and direct Garden access.
Pool staff is perfect and helpful, the Restaurant staff are friendly but like to forget something. Breakfast Selection very extensive, other Dishes rather average. Book Early for High Season is worth it.

Very nice Hotel, helpful staff. There Are 2 beautiful pools in which you can spend the day sunbathing and take a few laps. Bellisissmo Garden with beautiful palms. The Hotel overlooks the Indian Ocean.

Food is overpriced here. Balcony views were beautiful. Garden area is well maintained.

I must say this is the place which can take your breath away with its calm surrounding and friendly staff. Today I went there to celebrate my parents anniversary and Avani made it wonderful. They were so friendly when I first call them through 4n and they have arranged everything so beautifully Mr Mahesh Rajapakshe is the best person which I need to appreciate a lot. He is a great person with lots of good hospitality qualities. Wish him good luck for his career! Love you Avani Benthota.

A relaxing 5* hotel with two fantastic pools, walking distance to the beach and a buffet to die for. stayed here for a couple nights and it was fantastic. One thing to look at was the attitude of some of the bar staff around the pool, as I found them a bit rude some of the time. The main buffet restaurant for breakfast & dinner is superb. Immense variety, exotic flavours and at a high quality. Dinner was one of my best meals in SL and I stayed in some very nice hotels all over the island. Will be back again.

Couldn't speak highly enough. Was a perfect evening with a marquee set up on the beach for all 12 of us. The food was incredible. It was a really beautiful evening and everyone couldn't do enough to look after us. Thank you so much.

Room 202 was indeed huge and wonderful. Direct access to the poolside and beach. Clean room with bathtub. Cozy and spacious. Ample essentials to last for my visit. Paradise.

Horrible experience staying at this shabby resort. No proper pest control. Rooms had ants and insects crawling everywhere. This was the case with even the common areas of the resort. Such a yuck feeling! Staff were rude and untrained. No staff to take House keeping and Spa phone calls. All managed by Reception which I thought was funny and unprofessional. Given they charge so much for this kinda shabby resort. Lastly, while checking out, as we were a large family, all kids got thirsty and asked for water at the reception area. They flatly refused to give water to kids saying get it from room if you have any left. This was most insensitive behavior from the staff.

DISASTER: Unruly, untrained, uneducated & Rude staff. Good Location but property in shambles. Fraudsters running this hotel. Check bills carefully. SPA and Property in Poor state. Be ready for argument when you point out their wrongdoing. They are running a Sea-side Shack not a Hotel. You will feel stupid after being here. Our worst experience in Sri Lanka.

Many facilities, good service, food and drinks take long but we're worth the wait.

I recently visited the hotel between 1st and 4th May. The property is clean and tidy. Very good location near the beach, you step out of the hotel and you are on the beach. The staff is friendly and helpful. A very special thanks to Mr. Mahesh, Mr. Ranga and Mr. Dinuka for all the arrangements. The rooms are spacious and clean. Overall a very good experience. Would definitely go back one day. Stayed May 2016, traveled on business.

Love the location ambiance and Food!

It is very nice Hotel with 2 Pools and a beautiful garden. To the sea is 70m. The only flies in the train of the nrben is the Hotel in the def Early. The room was very nice, and the food is excellent and varied. To the centre you can travel by foot or by Tuc Tuc.

The 4 star pulls. Very in need of repair. In the room the a / C works in one position, the remote does not work, blows right on the bed. The condo was clogged and it was a long water flowed on the wooden floor. The fungus was formed and the room is persistent Zarah mold in the cellar. Tried to erode, causing the cleaning, didn't help. The cabinets in the bathroom broken, the toilet wobbles, the hook beach towel falls off in sheets as the hole. Changed the room a little better still. All this for hotel of four stars is simply unacceptable! There was another incident at the pool. Early in the morning we took a seat in the couch, Packed my things and went swimming. We brought mattresses and towels. And then suddenly, our things began to shift to other empty sunbeds, freeing them for other guests! Apparently the employee got paid, so he took the beds, and he did not notice. It was not nice ( ( ( Hotel needs renovation! The hotel has good potential but now everything is old and much broken. Breakfast and dinners are varied and delicious.
