We had a wonderful time during our stay at Centara Ceysand. Staff is really helpful and friendly. Food is delicious with varieties. Rooms are spacious and clean. Love the boat ride too. Overall I can recommend this hotel as a good place to enjoy with family and friends.

Amazing food. Period. Service is always perfect, food is always on point, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always looking forward to this place with my friends, the staff is perfect and the view is exceptionally good! Mr Chaminda, event manager was so supportive and well organized to make my fiancé happy on his birthday. The support given by him was inexpressible. The room boy Sugath had done a great deco to the room to welcome us. Supervisor Asitha has also done a major part. Thank you so much, you guys were amazing! I’d definitely visit this amazing hotel again. Thank you for doing your best to make my fiancé day so special.

Went there for a day out during the weekend. Place was almost full with local and international tourists. Great place to do water sports with nice views. Staff was attentive and friendly. They were provided good customer service. The buffet had less spread that’s the only con otherwise this hotel is perfect. Can be recommended to anyone.

The service given through out our visit was more than to the expectations… Clean and big room with two double beds with river view… Big & nice pool… taste food… various items in the buffet… separate food given for child… nice place… Recommended this hotel for your vacation… 👍

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Centara Ceysands.! 10/10, I would love to stay and live here. The staff are so friendly and it's like I have known them for years.
Clean and spacious swimming pool and a pool bar with lots of variety. We have the sea on one side and the river on the other. "Wi-Fi is strong with this one" never had an issue with our phones and laptop. Our amazing room faces the pool and so we never feel too far away from the awesome vibes. Theroom service is 5 star, always checking if we are catered for, with new towels and water etc. The whole resort is clean and safe, with all the health safety precautions at a high standard especially (covid).

The hotel reception, service and the products were all nice. It has an awesome location. The staff is very friendly. They have a good variety of foods too. I highly recommend the buffet.

We stayed at Centara on 25th &26th Dec and the experience was great. Staff is really friendly and hospitality was at its best. It's a beautiful calm surrounding where anyone can have a relaxing time.

Great experience. This resort is located by the river and provide water activities from within the resort. Additionally, you get to ride a boat every time you get in/out of the resort as there is no road access. Of course, this is a positive part only if you enjoy boat rides.

Great hospitality and courteous staff. Nice pool and facilities. On premises restaurants offer good dining options. Great view of the ocean from higher floors. Boat ride to cross river available 24x7. Airport transfer can be arranged by Hotel or taxi operators outside hotel gate.

A wonderful place to spend vacations. Sea on one side and river on other makes it enchanting. Staff is very polite, helpful. Breakfast spread is good. I loved it more because I could enjoy sunrise by riverside and sunset by seaside.

This is a resort located in the shoreline towards Southern area and the most attractive was the initial boat ride to the resort from car park. This gives an amazing overview of the resort while moving towards it. Food is good but not superior. Anyway there were plenty of varieties to select. There is entrance to the beach just after where the pool is located and sunset can be clearly observed from the resort. Along the beach it is ideal for morning and evening wall was there is a longer free space. Also it gives a refreshing feeling during night walks around the resort and can enjoy the breeze along the river side.

In my opinion the best hotel in Bentota from one side the river where you can make water sports or river safari and from the other side the bright blue ocean water to swim and in between the nature and the hotel with it's great swimming pool, SPA. The food there was so tasty either for breakfast or dinner. Go for an ocean view room and it will deserve every penny you paid for. The hotel have one of the best Gym I've seen in a hotel. And best of all is the friendly staff who will do their best to serve you better.

Over all not a bad hotel but needs a bit of TLC in places. The food is decent quality as long as you like curries/spicy food, if you like plain/ English food other than breakfast you may struggle. Pool and amenities good and a fantastic beach is only a Stones throw away. The staff are friendly and only to happy to help in all areas.

The resort is between river and Sea so we have to reach resort in boat. Approach to the resort is awesome. The breakfast spread is sumptuous. Staff courteous. Location scenic. Water sport team is very helpful. Awesome location best experience at report. Thanks.

A fabulous place to chill out. Lovely pool side and beach. It is a perfect beach resort. Very good, spacious rooms with balcony. I wouldn't mind another holiday in Centara.

Settled not with the number that booked. If you use plumbing pipe in the sink, from the shower water flows down the toilet. In the room upon arrival smelled damp and at least 4 years, looks used. The design of the room for me, heavy, dark furniture, blackout curtains and more — all this is closer to the continental European style, but certainly to the Asian island. Pastel melinoe was in a strange divorces. Contingent in the hotel are mostly of retirement age. One of the advantages close to the sea, the waves are small and swimming area is clean, green, open fish aquariums, food variety. The staff is friendly, the rooms are cleaned well, but if you are not in the room include air-conditioning, then what sweater need to wear. Because there are many age Europeans, the staff namolovan tips.

Very quiet, clean hotel well maintained grounds. Lizards, chipmunks, and in the evening flying dogs arrive.

Approach to the resort is awesome. The breakfast spread is sumptuous. Staff courteous. Location scenic. Water sport team is very helpful. Lacks a life guard.

Fantastic Holiday Location… It has something for everyone. Picturesque property… River on one side and the sea on the other… with the Pool in between. Great Water Sports Centre, fantastic food, loads of activities and well maintained rooms. We wished we stayed for a couple more days.

Rest in early January 2018 by family, all at a high level, cozy hotel, most of the rooms with ocean view and pool, food and fruit are excellent, local alcoholic drinks are quite good, do not compare with Egyptian! In general I recommend to couples and newlyweds, by the way for active rest too much there is!

We were here for a company outing. Location is interesting, considering that you have to park on one side and then hop a boat to get to the actual hotel across the river. Interesting and fun, but not ideal if you need to come and go in a hurry. Staff treated us well, food was good, and an overall pleasant stay. There's a small Odel / Luv SL store inside too.

Lovely place and very relaxing. The staff are always on hand to assist should you require help. Food is very good with a wide selection. Fantastic swimming pool that is well kept. Our room was very clean and spacious. Once you step out of the resort, which is a quick boat trip across a clean river, you'll have plenty of locals willing to take you anywhere for a very small fee in their tuk tuks. It's very relaxed and sometimes you might have to remind the waiters what you had ordered 20 minutes ago. But that really isn't a problem.

We visited with friends in October and enjoyed it immensely. Excellent choice of foods and drinks at the buffet, with two other restaurants as well. Some great beach walks, large pool on site. The local shops are a one-minute boat ride then five-minute walk. Special mention of Yasodha, who was extra enthusiastic and helpful. How good was it? We are returning with our two granddaughters next week!

I’m a little torn with this place. The resort itself was very nice and the facilities are decent, but everything that could go wrong, went wrong during my stay. Check-in was a nightmare, the floor in the room was not cleaned before our arrival, I received a dirty towel one day… And there’s a bunch of other little stuff also. The worst was the woman who checked us in. She was quite unpleasant and remained that way during out stay. I caught her giving us dirty looks a few times and mumbling things to her colleagues as we passed by. Things didn’t start very well at the beginning but she could have at least pretended to be pleasant rather than act obviously annoyed with us whenever we were around. This place definitely has potential and the 360 restaurant is worth a visit if you’re nearby. The rest of the staff were friendly enough so my gripe is really with just one staff member. They really need to pick up their game because there are plenty of other resorts in the area with better ratings.

Food not much vegetarian item but food taste is good and very clean in dinning area. Guest entry by boat from river. Property located between river and beach. Water sports activities available in resort with very attractive rate than outside. Very nice stayed experience.

My overall point is 3.5 Speeding reservations team & friendly Cleaned rooms, only 1 water bottles for 2 adults to drink as we for tea or coffee. Additional water bottles chargeable. There is no enough stuff for coffee or tea. Only few variety food with delicious, restaurant receptionist was very friendly but serving staff is not good, they visited to the table only to take the dishes. Pool trace room is too distributed but overall good and happy accommodation.

The water sports center offers a myriad of sports activities for the adventurer. The Hotel Entrance Boat Ride Service is much more attractive and Guests Love to Feel this Different Experience.

We visited this all inclusive for 4 days and I would say it was good overall. I wouldn't give it 4 stars. The rooms are clean and the staff are really friendly. However using the word all inclusive is a bit misleading to say the least. Only about 10% of the drinks were part of the all inclusive. Everything needs to be signed for regardless of it being inclusive. This can trip you since you could be signing for a chargeable drink when all you really wanted was the inclusive one. Very sneaky in my opinion. The hotel location is amazing with the lake on one side and the beach on the other. If you can avoid the 'Beach Boys' trying to sell you something or just harassing you on the way to the beach, then you will have done better than me. The A La Carte restaurant that we booked into neglected to tell us when we showed up that it wasn't open. Overall — I think it was a pleasant stay but not amazing like I thought we'd get. Finally all the staff were just amazing.

Excellent staff, delicious food. Loved it. Location 5* Consultation manager and various other staff wonderful. Had very bad experience with beach side boys. Just got cheated on last minutes. Please every one organise your local tours through Centara management. We made mistake of hiring taxi through beach side boys. That was shame.

We stayed here for six nights and found the staff were courteous and friendly, amenities were clean, though our room had a mouldy smell. The biggest disappointment here was the false advertising. The surroundings look nothing like the advt. Beach was dirty not sure if it was sewer going into or what, happy hour is only while your having your meal, wine was watered down, beer was flat most nights. Buffet was generous. Found this resort to busy for our liking and went in July which was low season.

Beautiful hotel. Good food but not much variations. Restaurant staff is very supportive. We went there on a office outing, some of the members didn't get the rooms till 4.30pm, even though the check in time is 1.30pm. We stayed in triple rooms. But there was no cups and water provided for three people. But when we requested from house keeping they quickly provided water bottles. Even though the check in late, Check out were on time, room key cards were locked on time. Some people went for swimming had to go to reciption to get their rooms unlocked. Overall it's good relaxing hotel. But they need to improve efficiency of their services.

The Centara Ceysanda Resort & Spa is a very nice hotel with all facility. The journey to the hotel through the lagoon was awesome. There are some service providers who provides water sports activities, lagoon tour and wonderful excursions. Very good food and hospitality too.

Nice place. Cool views. They've almost everything a hotel should've. Rooms are well designed. Just loved it. Food options are great. They can actually work more on the taste for the lunch. Breakfast and dinner foods were awesome. Just near the beach so it's just a walk to the beach. Watch out! Waves might play with you. They've a nice swimming pool with baby pools and jacuzzi. Good service. Just faced an issue where the floor gets wet and start smelling after keeping the shutters are opened for a while. They offer a boat ride to reach the hotel crossing the Bentota River. Enjoy your stay!

As we normally don't spend much time in our rooms we went for the "less luxurious", and thus cheaper option. This allowed us to spend the money on the "all-inclusive" package the hotel offered which was very good. We did a few excursions like a boat trip on the river (my daughter had her birthday on the day and the boat was all dressed up :-) ), checked out my ancestors heritage in Galle where we spend a few hours in the Dutch fort. Colombo was on the bucket-list as well where we visited the old colonial Dutch museum as well as the Dutch Hospital (which has been transformed in a shopping centre). All in all I can certainly recommend this hotel for a great holiday. The hotel has all amenities you wish for. Gym, massage therapy (I can certainly recommend that), water-skiing and other fun stuff. All-inclusive package provided us with enough to drink and eat during our stay. The buffet has a wide range of choices with different 'themes" throughout the week so there is a taste for everyone. If you want to dine alone or with your partner there are also other options available.

We came here for a short stop over. The area was lovely, amazing views & nice looking pool. The drinks we had were great, with tasty chocolate & banana milkshakes.

Rude, inexperienced staff, over priced everything and the toilet was not cleaned properly/smelly. Me and my fiancé arrived at 2.45pm and the room was still not ready and kept us waiting for another hour without any apology. Only thing we enjoyed was the pool. This is a embarrassment for the CENTARA chain in Thailand. I have stayed in other Centara resorts in Thailand and nothing like that.

Stayed for two nights, Rooms were good. I was told there are rooms to suite elder guest as well. Meals were average, and it was the same repetition specially for breakfast. Had a very large pool. Friendly staff but slow service. There is a Kids zone to keep the kids busy.

Excellent beach front hotel, with excellent breakfast buffet and themed buffet dinner. Great for catching sunsets and even the river facing rooms wake up to a picturesque waterfront view. Need to wait for water taxi to get across to town on the other side and the corridors can be stuffy at times. I loved cooling at the tea bar.

Nice hotel, nice location next to the beach and river. Good place to spend a lovely weekend. But there are things that needs to be improved. Food is not that great, no much choices. Specially for vegetarians. Service is not that great compared to other 3 star 4 star hotels in Sri Lanka. Sometimes we had to request the same thing for several times. Form a for star hotel I expect much more than that. Overall it's a nice place to spend a weekend if you don't care much about food.

Nice hote room was so small for 3 guest and not what I ask and booked. the view was not so well from my room. But from other room its waaaw. but hotel had good place and service and worker.

We didnt realise you should be dropped off on the other side of the river and then access by boat, so access by taxi was complicated. Both in-house restaurants are overpriced and seafood quality not great. I would recommend venturing out for lunch and dinner (Rana and Amal seafood were great), however… the pool area is amazing, breakfast buffet is very good, and the whole place is spotless. Bentota is one of the cleanest and unspoilt beaches i've ever visited, so top marks for location.

Let me start by stating that we enjoyed very much the stay at the CENTARA resort. Top for us was the location: a small strip between one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka and the Bentota river. You enter the resort by exclusive boat and that gives you the extra kick of isolation and exclusivity. Isolation from the busy, noisy and extreme contrasting Sri Lanka’s daily life. Exclusivity given by the beautiful setup and surroundings. The layout of the resort is splendid with the restaurant terraces looking at the river. To swim I personally prefer the beautiful sandy beach but the swimming pools are also attractive half shade with parasols and trees while being served with refreshing juices from the bar. The buffet restaurant was good, with two sections, one more international with changing theme and the curry-more-spicy local food. Refined was the choice the small appetizers and the variety of desserts. We were in a group with half-pension package included, and there is a more refined restaurant (360˚) serving the better fish dishes like lobster, shrimps, etc that we did not try. Important for your stay is the choice of your room’s location, because they will influence more your stay. Many have the terraces/balconies looking at the swimming pool, where you will join the pool life, and the see. Others look at the river, like ours, and we had a beautiful view from our small terrace, motorboats and speed water bikes, the trains passing by in the distance, so at times it was noisy.

The hotel is situated in a scenic location between the lagoon and the beach. Need to reach the hotel by small boat operated by the hotel. Food was good and there was a good spread. Water sport facilities available.

Smell of damp is the room! Wi-Fi always problems! food is good.

Relatively attentive staff, usual lack of common sense as can be expected but overall a good experience. Stayed here for 3 nights after travelling around Sri Lanka. The food is good… drinks a little over priced. Cigarettes were the real killer with twice the shop prices. The hotel is practically on an island so has a more of resort feeling meaning that you are somewhat reliant on the hotel to service all your needs. I wouldn't like to stay at this place for prolonged periods as it would mean missing out on all the great things Sri Lanka has to offer. However, this is no fault of the hotel and if it's a feet up in the air and coctail in hand that you are after this might be your place. Also, way too many young kids for my liking. These are no fault of the hotel but more a personal preference. The rooms were nice even though it was clear that the previous occupants had vacated it fairly recently (sofa had a wet patch of sea water). Expect to pay 800 rupees for a Heineken and around a 1000 for a double mid range gin.

Stayed at Centara Ceysands Resort in early April, 2015 with wife and our two teenage kids. Food excellent, could not fault it, menu changes daily. Rooms luxurious. Staff very helpful and always happy. WI FI working fine. The hiring of water sports equipment a bit on the steep side, but surfboards for rent at southern end of beach cheap. All in all, a great place for a vacation. I'd go back for sure.
