It's a basic place. They showed us some other bungalow in the listings and gave us rooms in some other building.

Beautiful property. Breathtaking landscape but poorly maintained. Cons: Thrs hardly any light after 630pm except in ur room. If u reach late its difficult to reach till ur room. The property has named themselves as 'The residence bentota' but thr is no such signage or name at the property. It was very difficult to locate the property. It only has house no. 106 marked outside. The staff is very late in thr response. Doesnot open the gate easily. Very difficult to contact the owner. Since thr is huge landscaping around, u will find group of ants and mosquitos inside ur room. If u r goin thr in summer, please ask for ac room. Pros: The pool is 24x7 available. Thewater is cleaned everyday. Beautiful Lil sights around the property. The apartments are fully furnished nd equiped with all kitchen equipment, washer/dryer etc. The beach is 5min walking distance from the property.

It is very close to the beach and the railway station, though the room I had was without a/c, but it was okay, with the windows open. People are nice. Breakfast was yummy. Great for the price. The only problem was with the internet. It is too slow to do anything.

Good place to stay, spacious rooms, nice balcony, pretty near from the beach. They have free sun-beds on the beach near from their surfing school. Don't ask guys on the reception to order a transfer to the airport for you. We got some small almost died car for price of a good van.

Home from home feel, basic accommodation but great price and location. Within 5 minutes walk there is a beach and about 10 restaurants.

Very clean rooms, friendliest personal I ever seen. A/C, clean toilet and shower. 2 minutes — beach. We came to this villa at night, stuff opened a room for us. Welcome juice was awesome. Thank you for your service.

We have used Channa for all our tours and tuk tuk rides for almost two weeks and we have been treated like royalty!

The room was great and the breakfast was great. The trip to the lake can ask the waiter who eats. It's got a fridge, air conditioning and hot water!.

Fantastic hosts, always smiling and ready to help answer questions and offer tea! Breakfast was fantastic, room was clean and cool, location is great (a small community of locals and guest houses right next to the station). Ask about the lagoon tour: 2-3 hours of mangroves, crocs, birds and local insight. If you are visiting bentota, I cannot reccomend lex's place highly enough!

The hosts are super caring and the rooms are clean.

We really loved that place. Big and clean rooms (had the one on the 1st floor into direction of beach) with very good AC. Wi-Fi could have been working better (especially during the day) — but, I'm on vacation so what ;-) Breakfast was fair enough (Sri Lankian standard) : Eggs, Toast, Sausages, Tomatoes, Fruit plate, Fruit juice, Coffee, Tea, Butter, Jam or even full Sri Lankian breakfast (Dhal, Curry, Rotti, Noodles …) Also evening kitchen was good … I had the chicken Curry! You will reach the beach by foot within 5 minutes max. On the left side you can get sunbeds for free (don't forget to ask the guys in villa for beach towels). The best part of our stay at Chami Villa was Chami himself: super nice guy, friendly and always helpful. Also the other guys from staff. They tried to fulfill whatever wish we had (even cake & flowers at my girlfriends birthday). Ask him for snorkeling trips or any other and he will help to arrange.

We stayed for two days in the room without the sea view. Had a nice 4 poster bed, room was adequately cleaned and had air con. I think the best part of staying at Chami Villa has to be the owner Mr Chami. He was super helpful, got us discount on diving (we we're originally quoted 95 USD per head for training and dive by one company, Mr Chami then went and found us somewhere for less than half the price and got us an extra 10% off on top) and let us use his washing machine. Also, the rest of the staff were very friendly and made every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible plus went out the way to get a room ready early for us (they had a room ready for us by 11am). Location is a very short walk from the beach. However, the point where the Chami sun beds and surf board rentals are located is the other end of the beach, which was not exactly an issue, more just confusing when first trying to find it. But the surf board rentals on the beach were super cheap (1000 Rupees) and you get extra time of you are staying at Chami Villa. Over all a great stay and one that I'd recommend.

We used Channa for all of our trips, Tuk Tuks & taxis. He was the best guide, so knowledgable, really good prices and always smiling. His villa is also beautiful and well located in Bentota. I would highly recommend him and will hopefully be seeing him and his family again next year.

We stayed there for 2 nights. A bit overpriced place, but nice and clean.

Love the place. The room is very spacious, and the owner is very nice to us. The free breakfast is huge with toast, jam, egg and fruit.

Great place to stay in Bentota if you want a small accommodation instead of the big hotels and residences. Owners are really kind and helpful. The house is incredibly clean and breakfast is huge. Common and fully equipped kitchen along with a terrace with a dining table are really nice.

Channa was a great tour guide who organised two separate tours for us to Galle, Yalla, Dumballa, kandy and sigiriya. He was always on time, smiling, friendly and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We really enjoyed our time with him.

Channa villa is great place to stay at your holiday in bentota sri lanka. Nice beach just 3 minute wolking distance. Channa is friendly persone he also arrange tour's well.

Clean, comfortable and just mentally. The owner is super. The breakfasts are delicious, hearty, especially when on the street, uh, With Wi-Fi had problems, but I tried everything to solve it. In the extreme case, provided your computer)

Channa is a very friendly guy, he is also a very serious guide who can give you great advice on what to see and do in the area. Highly recommended!

Right when we got to know each other on the beach of Bentota, Channa has already shown us something of Bentota, here also the beautiful vegetation and small villages.
So he quickly convinced us that we would also go on a trip with him. This was implemented super fast. He took us on a small day trip to the Fort of Galle. Here he looked after us well and also showed us nice sights again and again. Finally, we also booked the big tours with him. We were able to stay in super nice and clean hotels and succumbed to the charm of the island.
Channe took care of all our wishes and always looked after and cared for us in the best possible way.
With Channa you are in good hands!

Really nice rooms, kind and hospitable hosts, close to the beach 3 minutes walk also Bentota river for Water sports, Private kitchen came in handy to cook meals as I was staying for 2 weeks, 5 minutes walk to supermarket and Banks, easily accessible by both train and Bus. Best location ever and total value for money.
