Beware booking online! Cancelled our booking at 2pm because we didn’t arrive by their allocated 1.30pm check in. No apology.

Excellent accomodation, hospitality, at an affordable price. Indian Ocean is just across the road.

Great place, but after 10pm you can't entertain visitors. Other than that it's a calm and quiet place.

Arrogant and rude owners.

Very like, the room Nordic wind, and clean, have a little musty taste. The window is the sea and rails, beautiful scenery, in the morning before catching a plane to take pictures. If it is a morning plane, the boss can help to call the car, 1750 rupees, go high speed, plus 300 rupees. 40 minutes to the airport. Price is also the most favorable location.

This is a guest house and a really nice, clean one. Different types rooms which all share the same concept of Really nice. The host, Mr. Jarl is very helpful advising the right places to go in the neighbourhood. Location if the hotel is very nice, looking over the ocean. Lots of restaurants etc. In the proximity. Well worth going here for the days you want to explore Colombo.

So far we were twice at the CJ Villas, the landlord is incredibly friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean, the accommodation is central and the view of the sea is fantastic (mind you from the bed). What more could you want? I would come back.

The owner was extremely helpful! When I got inside my room, the AC was already switched ON. The rooms were well kept. The location is great but in the night there was absolutely no lighting in the streets of marine drive so it felt a bit scary.

Nice place with nice view. Cheap and basic. The place is clean.

The owner was quite friendly and welcoming. Central location, good for those looking to go to the Indian visa centre. Nice ocean view. But pretty expensive considering we shared a bathroom with two other rooms. And quite noisy with road traffic and trains.

Very very nice place! Good location, friendly atmosphere, best owner ever! ❤️and one more thing: balcony! It just super for yoga!

Perfect place to come home to when your visiting nice Colombo. Even if it´s just for short while you feel the friendly and very welcome atmosphere. Lovely sunsets! Central located and close to good shopping and restaurants. Thank you so much for taking good care of me and my stay in Colombo! See you soon again!

Nice rooms for overnight stay.

We had a very nice stay! The best thing about this place is the owner, Jarl. He not only made us feel home instantly but also helped us out with whatever we needed. The free jazz concert on Sunday in the barefoot cafe we surly would have missed without his recommendation. The place itself is very clean and got a little kitchen (though many restaurants are around). We had a room with a private bathroom (other rooms share one). Everything was nice, only the water pressure in the bathroom was low. Our room didn't have a see view but that was actually just fine because see view means a lot of noise since the place is just on a main road. Overall we would come again.

What a lovely place to have stayed — best host ever — makes you feel welcome and home instantly :)
