Miracle Colombo City Hostel Hostel

I can’t describe this place, just amazing.

Good Lord this place is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood! If your taxi doesn't already know how to get there, it might be kind of tough finding it, especially from the airport. With that said, the staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are good, and there are places to eat within walking distance so that's always nice.

Best budget rooms in 1000 LKR. Provide seperate fans in case it's hot. Good at this price range.

Friendly staff! Good location, clean facilities and cheap. Good value for money.

Bare bones hostel. Beds were a bit small, breakfast was very basic — hampered by a malfunctioning toaster and limited cutlery. It was absolutely dead during our stay, so don't expect a party if you go in the off-season.

No frills no nonsense hostel offering basic dormitory accommodation, a cold shower and a very basic breakfast.

Total crap.
3 room changes. Broken shutters, dirty bathroom, and an indefinite time to find solutions. We're cleaning the room ourselves. They don't give any refund or apology. Unworthy. 3 fictitious stars.

A hostel within Colombo. Perfect if you want to see and enjoy Sri Lankan hospitality at it's best.

Its the best place for back packers and for executives who are on small visit, however I am staying with them for past 2 months and I have a great time there the hostel employees are very friendly and helpful, you also meet other travelers there and end up making good friends. The dorms are very clean and well organised, you can also cook your own food as they have a good kitchen on terrace and sit out lounge area, its a fun place to be. You can also walk in the nearby area and find local food at good price. I would recommend this place.

Nice accommodation, for a few nights perfectly adequate, very friendly staff — only blemish: No power outlets in the Dorms — to load you have to the terrace.

Good place to spend a night but I think it's overpriced. Very hot in the rooms and the personal fan hardly assist. It also felt unsafe as anyone from the street could enter the lower floor.

Very nice Hostel in the middle of Colombo. I recommend the private room if you wish some privacy and the dorm rooms if you want to sleep with others. Not literally, but maybe. I guess you could cuddle with someone else if your down to it. However, we decided to have great breakfast on the roof terrace. Would do it again.

Perfect place to hang out and stay in Colombo (and survive the damn city)

Stayed here for one night before heading to the airport and it was a memorable stay during my two weeks holiday in Sri Lanka. The host but also the hostel stand for true backpacking spirit which I would consider as my first place to go when arriving in Colombo. You will meet at any time of year like-minded people to share experiences for your journey across the island. Be clear that this is a backpacker location in a very central location (next to Sri Lanka PM complex) and provides basic accommodation and you will be cooking your breakfast yourself (don’t expect any luxuries — it’s the spirit that matters! ). The dorm rooms provide comfortable bunkbeds and I consider the facility as clean!

If there is one place you want your journey to start from is this hostel. Fairly priced and good ambience.

Best hostel in the country.

We instantly felt at home when arriving at Colombo City Hostel. Sam and the guys helped us with everything that we needed during our stay. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well kept, the reception area was a cool place to chill with awesome wall art and the rooftop is an ideal place to chill in evening. There’s an awesome view of the city from the top and there’s always people mixing in the communal kitchen over free breakfast. Oh and don’t forget to hit up the pub crawl that happens every other Friday… We will definitely be staying at City Hostel again on our return to Colombo.

This is were I started my travel and I can't thank all the staff so much for making it my best travel. Everyone was friendly and so helpful and the night life was just to much good memories. I didn't want to leave hopefully see yous soon xxx.

One of my best hostel experience in Colombo.

Pretty decent hostel in an otherwise boring city. The rooftop is great for socializing, and the local food joint they have marked on the map is delicious and cheap! A bit hard to find, look for the sign with nr. 177 and a bed (UBER is good from the airport! ) Fine place to stay for arrival and departure in Sri Lanka. Warm showers and lockers.

Awesome place to stay! Central to a lot of tourists sites but not over crowded. Staff were really helpful and accommodating and the free breakfast is very handy. The toilets/shower area were very clean and well maintained. The roof top patio is a highlight and great social area.

So friendly this place. The guy who runs it is very sweet, and there is a great open air rooftop.

A cool place for young people. The dorms are clean but there are many people so sometimes difficult to sleep with the VAS and come. There is a great terrace for a drink and a chat. There is a breakfast included but there is not much to choose from.

I loved this hostel! ❤️ One of best hostel I have ever been, and price for it is really nice! Location is good, staff is super friendly, rooms and toilet where really clean! Also breakfasts was awesome, really traditional SriLanka food, good coffee and amazing roof top, where you can chill, listen to nice music and enjoy everything ☀️ I have stayed there already 2 times, and I really recommend it! Awesome place to stay for solo travelers or groups. Hosts are really chilled and laid back. Rooms are a bit noisy.

The place is very well located and the personnel are very friendly and helpful — they were quick to answer emails before the arrival and were there once I arrived to assist with travel advice and other tips. Good value for money, clean dorms and bathrooms, lovely rooftop. Highly recommended!

Colombo City Hostel is definitely my second home. Best and most comfortable place in Colombo. Hope to go there again very soon and never leave!
