This was my favorite place in SL. It has fantastic views down the valley from Ella. The rooms are small and basic, no bar fridge but all beds were covered in mosquito nets which was a nice touch. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The best part of the rooms is the balcony, great place to sit and read or enjoy a cold beverage. The restaurant was one of the highlights, if there are enough people who are interested they will do SL curry banquet. It was the best curries I had in SL. Also a great place to meet people and have a pre dinner beer. The city of Ella is very touristy and seem to be full of back packer places which I would have loved 25 years ago but know I was happy to spend my nights in the hotel. The hotel was in the process of putting in pool. The kids would have liked it to have been finished but I didn't think it was necessary given the climate, which was perfect. The staff were also top notch. It had the feeling of a family room hotel. I can highly recommend.
