We were the only guests during the low season but the staff and owner were anyway incredibly friendly, helpful and nice. We had great food, the location close to the lake is perfect for strolls along the shore from where you can see hundreds of birds and even crocodiles. They organized the perfect safari (janaka, the owner of janaka jeep tour safaris is the brother if the inn's owner) and knew a driver that brought us to Mirissa at low cost. His name was Sanjay and he gave us the perfect mix if sightseeing and nice conversations as he knew the area very well — this made the ride another great experience. We can highly recommend this hotel as well as janakas safaris and Sanjay as a driver!

Located by the Debarawewa tank. Nice view point in the morning and the evening. Friendly staff. Luxury rooms for a reasonable cost. Recommended.

Very brief basic stay for one night for the Yala day safari, friendly hosts and we were grateful for our welcome drink despite late arrival.

We were to have a night as a "base camp" for the Safari in Yala to. The complex is directly on the lake with schönenm expansive front yard. The hostess was super helpful and nice, gave us a Safari Tour to 4 o'clock in the morning, a Packed lunch on the way and a super driver for the trip organized. Highly recommended!

Tranquil setting which is a great contrast from the hectic towns and cities. We sat outside on a hammock and were amazed by the amount of difference species of birds we could see over the lake. Around 1 Mile on the same road there are trees full of fruit bats which is well worth a visit at sun set when they all come to life, the sky fills up with them! To top a prefect stay off, the hostess cooked us a local meal and it was perfect.

Nice hotel in quiet location. Perfect in combination with a safari. The rooms are large, offer lots of storage facilities and were also very clean.
The facility as a whole is also neatly maintained.
The Internet and AC have also worked well.
The complex offers various seating options and hammocks to relax.
Restaurant: The food is rather dull/bland (Kotthu even bad) and the service could be better there too.
The owner is attentive and tries to fulfill every wish.
Overall the hotel is worth its price, one night should be sufficient.

Great Place for the money, Air Conditioned rooms with a balcony and view over the lake. Nice Garden and very friendly owner. We even got hot water, it's not everywhere like this in Sri Lanka. Tue Room and bed were clean too.

Beautiful place, the owner is very nice and welcoming and made sure we had everything we wanted. The food is not bed and the lake close by it stunning. We stayed in the budget room and it was very good.

Friendly and helpful staff. You can do laundry in here. Nice and chill.

Very nice owner (family). Rooms are very clean and spacious. They prepare very tasty breakfast! Location is nice (by the lake) and superb for visiting Yala national park (safari)!

Lovely place near the wewa.

Wonderfull place to stay! You can use there bikes and go round the beautiful lake full with crocodiles and see many different birds monkeys and bats! The host is so helpfull and friendly and makes the best food!

Enjoy the picturesque sun kissed landscape at the bank of a lake frequented by birds. This hotel and the rooms ate pretty good but understaffed when we visited, but the owner will always be ready to help you. You can expect water tap problems, no automatic water tank filling so running out of water in the middle of your bath, etc. Nearest town is 2km away, so if you reach late and do not want to wait for them to prepare dinner, come with take away dinner. However you will forget all these small issues once you see the surrounding nature.

Can not believe that this place only has one star! We stayed there for three days and nights in the end of October. The people working at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. English speaking and polite and the food were very delicious. We were invited to a local wedding at the hotel and treated as quests. Wifi was working fine. The rooms and bath facility were like a 3-4 star hotel and the service were that of a 4-5 star hotel! The nature in the surrounding area is very attractive! I will really recommend this hotel!
