I stayed here for 1 week and had an awesome time. Lahiru and his team take great care of you! No day or night is ever boring. Great surf instructors, boat party, quiz night, diner together, nice pool, close to the beach and town. Nice rooftop where you can hang out and have breakfast and diner together. The rooms are clean, spatious and even the dorm has A/C. I will def go back for a longer period! Thanks for making my stay amazing!

A surfcamp like no other, I stayed here for 3 weeks and could not have asked for any more. Spacious and clean rooms, good vibes only, great surf teachers with a determined mind to help each and everyone get their best out of their surfing, fantastic staff all over the camp and the food was really good. The camp is situated directly by the ocean and very close to shops and all you need. I will be back for sure!

The best place learn to surf in weligama Sri Lanka Good atmosphere, professional surf teaching like no other surf camps. I 've been to many surf camps but this surf camp teach very professionally, all their instructors 're qualified licensed ISA instructors Highly recommended.

Great place to learn surfing and stay with cool fellow surfers. Most people here get surf packages for a week or more. The surf instructors are pretty cool, this is where I surfed for the first time… and now I’m in love. The rooftop area is a cool place to hang out, they show movies at night. Conversations with people sitting around you flows easily. People that are not staying here also come to hang out. The food in the rooftop restaurant is good… but it takes FOREVER to get it so order early if you have surf classes. The rooms are bare but clean, there is plenty of hot water but you won’t need it. My room had no AC but the ceiling fan is perfect and with the balcony door open at night it gets nice and cool. I would recommend this place.

We spent 4 days just after New Years learning to surf and we had a great time! It’s chill and relaxing up on the roof-top lounge. The staff surf instructors and other guests were all super friendly. The beginner surf beach was wonderful and we were surfing before we new it. My only request is that you start serving coffee before 8am—nd faster Wi-Fi up top.

Stayed here with a friend to learn to surf, meet likeminded people and above everything get some “chill” time in. The rooms were clean and to a good standard (for price/hostel). Thanks to Cam for the great surf coaching.

The Surfer is an awesome chill-out place where you can meet easy-going people, play tense drinking games, relax at the pool and enjoy fresh self-made food. And you will learn how to surf! Our surf instructors Cam and Lynn taught us how the catch the waves in a very motivating and promoting way. Thanks for that! We also enjoyed inspiring yoga sessions with lovely Kate. In a nutshell — The Surfer is the place to be in Weligama!

Best place to learn surfing in Weligama.

Great spot to stay especially if you are interested in learning to surf. Friendly staff, excellent location. A little slack in the service department, but they are working hard to change this. The only criticism is that the waters of Weligama Bay are sadly not clean.

Great place to hang out for surfing if you are looking for a chilled place with nice people. I went there to have some surf guiding within a group. It was a nice atmosphere getting out in the water together. The roof top bar is a nice place to chill as well as the pool. But check it out yourself :)

Great place close to the beach and everything. Make sure to book some surf sessions when you are there. The small place just on other side of the street have really good cheap food for latenights. Have nice time there!
