Reviews of Onilwe Resort Weligama
We spent several happy weeks here in February and March 2020. The modern resort/hotel is a short distance from Weligama surf beach in a quiet neighborhood. It is a nice walk to the beach across a river, train track or less than 5 minutes by scooter or Tuktuk.
The rooms are nice with air conditioning and bathroom. There always seems to be birds singing in the garden plus the occasional monkey visiting. Breakfast is available and is really tasty. You also order meals at night which are local recipes with local produce.
We loved being here and Janaka is a great host/ chef/ driver. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he knows a lot about the local services. He helped us to get surfing lessons.
We will definitely be visiting Onilwe again.
