Great access to beach. Fantastic seafood barbeque. Friendly staff. But don't expect star rooms. But not a problem as you will be out and about.

Nice beach hopping place, ok underwater, unique sunset here.

Pathetic experience right from the time we reach till we checked out. No service nothing any class rooms u book it's in all the same. Disgusting… Better book a shack then stay in this hotel. Foul smell in all rooms. No cleaniless. Use the same bedding daily. It overcharge for this place. Swimming pool has water snake. Staff is least bothered.

A very beautiful beach with a splendid scenery. Many tourists visit here. It's safe to swim and you can go snorkeling here.

I feel that this property could have been better maintained given its venue and the kind of demand it can get. The place is dismal. Toilet brushes, mops in the corridors, napkins with holes in them, weather beaten pool chairs that would break down at your glance and what not. As my friend said, the only good thing about the food is iced water. So not more than one star!

One of the Surf and beach highlights of S/L. Come in the dry non monsoon offshore season for best surf. Great coral reef breaks but dangerous for learners. Stay near the shore otherwise. Great coral snorkling. Plenty of accommodation and restaurants along the parade. Beauty personified. For an extra experience hire a scooter and go inland to visit the Moon stone quarries. Mind blowing.

A magnificent tropical sandy beach, blue waves. Plenty of hotels can be found as this is specially a destination of tourism. People can go swimming in the sea, there are many safe places to swim apart from snorkeling.

Amazing people with some great food. Loved every moment at the place. Not too fancy but likable. If you are easy going not too concern about the outlook. Best value for money.

Please be aware of the people in the beach. They trying to still your money from various ways. When we went there one guy came and told that a boat ride cost will be 6500. But the actual cost is only 1500. This beach is actually very good for snorkling. Can have great fun there.

Beautiful beach with Crystal clear waters. We came to see corals but due to the sea being "rough", none of the boats went out. However we had our fun in the sea. Would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling this way.

We came during low season. Peaceful but still a vibe in the evenings. Lovely beach.

Had a good time with my family. Budget place. Right next to the beach. And beach was amazing. Lots of beautiful fish around the area. Friendly staff. Breakfast also ok. Had parking facilities as well. Good restaurants near by including local wine shops. Only issue we had was with the pool. My daughter got a small cut on her foot while she's playing in the pool. Pool must be outdated. Needs renovation asap. Other than that everything was OK for the budget.

The staff was friendly and food was delicious. Room had A/C and TV with limited channels. Room looked old and cleanness… Never order food to take away as the portion was not enough for even one person and not worth the price.

Plenty things to do, heap's of accommodation, restaurants and or bars to have a top meal friendly locals but that's Sri Lanka anyway, beaches are clean and safe for everyone. Tours to other areas reasonable on the pocket. Just a great place. Come at the right part of the year, and have a great holiday. Come and stay at the Villa Red Lobster, clean, bright, owner staff all helping you to have a fantastic stay. Good prices accommodation big brekky not more you could ask for, so get over here.

Good value for money. Good breakfast, great view of the ocean, beach, but very noisy road-cars constantly honking under the windows to 12 and from 5…

Beautiful sea, close to Galle and the fishing beach… You can take long walks and there are many restaurants by the sea… Also ideal for surfing…

A very touristy beach which lots of options for entertainment. Many restaurants and bars right on it as well, a lot of them completely overpriced and of low quality. Feels a bit like little Odessa as well but still: the beach itself is lovely, snorkelling is extremely fun (hundreds of different and colourful fish)

Nice but without any facilities. Few other things near diving or sea tours should be a BIG plus! The turtles and fishes transform a common beach in an amazing one: is the Hikkaduwa beach situation and is wonderful!

Great beach. Not much waves cause the shallow area is protected by a reef. Safe to bath there with kids. Crowded in weekends. Best to visit in weekdays.

Great beach for kids. Facing the beach, walk towards extreme left to meet two beautiful turtles that come to the shore to feed. Walk down the beach to the extreme right end (close to the coconut trees), step into the waters to see thousands of beautiful fishes. It will be like you are standing in an aquarium. If you have kids, don't give this beach a miss.

Hikkadua Beach is very well attended and suffers from erosion. But also offers a few palm trees in the southern part and a flat finish into the sea. At the northern part (just behind the glass boats) you can snorkel really after 15m. Sea turtles can be discovered here in the wild on the rocks. One of the winding beaches that are also suitable for children. Many Russian guests.

Fine Sand, beautiful Water and no Dirt. The Beach is really nice and there are relatively many Tourists there. The Current Is bearable, but still present. If you have luck you can swim with Turtles.

One of my favourite beaches in Sri Lanka. Love this place. There are turtles which you can actually touch and feed. You can swim with them too. And also there are a lot of fishes too. A great place to snorkel. I have been there many times as I love that beach. Sea is awesome there.

Have mixed feelings about this palce. The staff was friendly and the food was worth the price. Room had AC and a TV with limited channels. Room looked old and cleanness can be improved. There is a pool but need to go through main lobby to access the pool. Good place if you're looking for a budget place to crash in but not good if you're looking for a place to enjoy your holiday.

Great beach and it’s safe to swim and to see wild turtles everyday, and the sunsets are amazing well worth a day out.

Of all the beaches, we found hikkaduwa to be more vibrant. One of the highlights was spotting variety of fish & wild turtles right on the beach. You can surf, go on a glass bottom boat ride to see the corals and marine life or experience the lagoon boat safari. This beach has a few sea facing restaurants where you can order your pref. Drink and food right on the beach.

Beautiful place. Reputed as the second best suffering spot in Sri Lanka.

Good calm sea & clear water in Dec — Mid April. Can see sea turtles at t morning and evening Beach around Tranz by Hikka Hotel. Good for snorkelling in above season. Surfing area is further south from Tranz by Hikka Hotel. Nice long beach.

One of the best beach in srilanka to hangout with friends and family. Lot of activities are offered there.

Nice beach, with quite clear water, ideal for children and for any activity such as surfing snorkeling, swimming and dolphin and turtle watching. Funny to see a branch of fish near the beach and possibility to swim with them In some situations the gust could be strong.

The beach with a lot of coral reef and fishes. There are boat services to take you to the reef and you can see the reef fishes. I hired a diver and he took me for snorkeling, saw a giant sea turtle while snorkeling. Best place to go for snorkeling and diving.

Big beach with big waves. The bottom is clean. There are rips. In the mornings sometimes you can see how fishermen pull fish. Here you can buy it.

Great setting, very relaxing after busy streets.

Rooms were advertised with "in room Wi-Fi" which was not the case. There was only Wi-Fi in the lobby and it was nearly impossible to connect to it. Also advertised with "hot water", this is a hit and miss. The towels and linen could be cleaner for the amount of money you spend. Location is the only good thing this place has. The room was next to the staff laundry area and even though you have the do not disturb sign on the door, this doesn't mean they will be quiet around your room. Hallway to the room was also very dark. Avoid at all costs, this place is Faulty Towers in real life. Plenty of other options in the area.

The hotel is very close to the beach.

Intimate hotel on the southwestern coast of the island of Ceylon. There are rooms with ocean views. In good weather you can enjoy the sunset directly from the room. In the restaurant, good range of food and drinks at reasonable prices. I especially recommend the avocado juice.

Past its heydays and overpriced for what it is.

I ordered a dish with shrimp. Brought in a plate were only 2 shrimp, the rest pieces of meat of unknown origin. Service disgusting.

Great place for surfing. Yes, bathroom deserves improvements.

The worse hotel in the country. Poor hospitality. Bad rooms. Hate it.
