Great place for a weekend getaway. The food is also good. Amazing ambience and awesome natural vibes.

Awesome place, Chami and his team are extremely chilled out.

One of the best accommodations we’ve had throughout our trip for the all round service. “Stuff-your-face divine” breakfast included. Chami knows how to run a proper business and will organize some great activities for you that are 100% off the beaten track. Ask for Sanju as your guide, a nature lover who knows the jungle and can even take you on a week long trip into the wild. Must stay place. Thanks Chami and his team.

Terrible place. Very long, very not tasty. The food is not worth the money at all. Fish ball-a lot of onions, a little scary fish. Beef cannot be chewed. Juices are diluted with water. Fried potatoes, salted.

A great place to meet people from all over the world, totally relaxed.
DasEssen takes something, but super tasty. I can only recommend to try the Pineapplecurry.

What a great discovery. While out for a morning run. Passed this great place & returned for a dinner on the evening. All travellers are made welcome. Very friendly staff. Great food (I had kottie rotti) Of the main road, just over the rail way track,. Raisin forest feeling. Good food.

Chami's place has everything you need or want from accommodation in Hikkaduwa and Sri Lanka. A variety of bed options. Lots of great food made from local produce or sourced by Chami himself when he visits other parts of the country. Friendly and helpful advice on what Hikkaduwa and Sri Lanka have to offer and guidance to tailor your holiday to fulfil all your expectations and more. I joined some other travellers on two excursions and I was treated to authentic, traditional Sri Lankan life, the most amazing views and photo opportunities mixed with great food and the most reliable guide in Chami. Tre cool.

A great plus, which is far from the road, the place shady, the chilly. The prices are good, and they are cheaper than in the central street. Recommend!

Our family of 10 recently stayed for several nights, in 4 rooms of Chami's guesthouse, and very much enjoyed our time there. As Chami himself will tell you, the theme is "simple living" and as such, the accommodations are basic (but clean and comfortable), with washrooms and living space shared among all guests. Along with the guesthouse, there are two covered outdoor spaces for dining (Chami does a great seafood bar-b-que) and lounging on hammocks, just set off from a small road that leads to Galle Main Rd and the Hikkaduwa beaches (a 5-minute walk). Although the facilities are basic, what earns the high rating is the people: Chami's staff are warm, welcoming and very helpful and Chami himself proved a wonderful resource — leading us on a couple tours personally to nearby destinations, arranging transportation for our large group, and otherwise providing plenty of helpful tips and guidance for both the immediate area and other parts of Sri Lanka to which we were headed. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality!

Just were there for dinner several times, super friendly staff, very delicous food (you can order fish in the evening, in the morning you get it fresh out of the ocean or mangrove…), very charming place. You might have to wait a bit for the food but its worth every minute. Prices are lower than at the beach area and main road restaurants. Also as it is a bit off the beach area you get more of a jungle feeling with the singing birds and other anmials around you.

Just spent the one night here. Chami's place is a clean, chilled hostel for young people with good vibes. I'm not really that into hostels anymore but if I was I'd stay here. Definitely for the younger crowd.
