Kithulvilla Holiday Bungalow Guesthouse

We booked the guest house for our family holiday in first weekend of January, three weeks in advance. The rate agreed and deposit paid. The rate advertised and informed us was excluding meals. Meals was an optional item and a menu was sent after the deposit for us to confirm if we would like to order 3 meals. As the menu is not much attractive to us we wanted to have meals outside the premises and hence did not go with this option. Since the booking through to the previous day of our scheduled visit, we had communication with guest house staff re: other arrangements that we require as our families have children under 5 age. The staff also informed we can do bbq on our own and allowed us to bring meat and charcoal to use the facilities onsite.
Surprisingly, the previous day of our scheduled visit, the hotel management informed us it is compulsory that we have the meals from them otherwise they will cancel our booking. We were very disappointed with this last moment change and started to negotiate. The hotel mangement were very inflexible and constantly talked over during our discussions with them. They always asked us to cancel our booking irrespective of the negotiations we tried to make. Given the situation, we had no other option other than cancelling our booking. We were lucky enough to find another place in Kitulagala area within a few hours.
We got to know they cancelled our booking to accept a large booking to make the house fully booked with meals.

Went 2019/08/17 — 18 The place was quite and calm, staff are very helpful and the meals are awesome. Highly satisfy with the accommodation and other stuffs. Good place to enjoy the peaceful moment.

A place where you can get beautiful environment, lovely room with clean bathrooms, delicious food, very friendly stuff. Anybody can enjoy and relax their busy life here. Thank you so much Mrs. Dissanayake. We would like to visite your place once again.

It was a great Stay at the Bungalow while I was there. Loved the Pool with an amazing View. The Owner & the Staff were very helpful and friendly catering to our every need. Had a peaceful, relaxing stay at Kitulgala thanks to them :) Thank You for the Hospitality.

Workers are trying really hard to give good service. In a good location for rafting and absailing. Great view from the infinity pool. The downside for me was with it being an older home in the rainforest we dealt with creepy crawlers in the room and towels that wouldn't dry. I guess it could be expected in a place like this and they try hard to give good service.

Nice calm environment very close to the Avissawella — Nuwara Eliya (A7) highway. Friendly and supportive staff. Sexy looking swimming pool with a baby pool. ***but no lifeguard** when I checked in I have noticed that my wash room did not cleaned.

Ideal place for lunch, very clean, neat and good sanitation.

Great place for team hung out.

Good for families and good food. Nice place. But if you are set of friends not recomended. They request the place before check out time and place has lots of restrictions. So giving three stars. FYI, Pool closed by 7pm.

This villa exceeded our expectations at every level. We visited this quaint, beautiful villa on our annual office excursion and were delighted with the friendly, cooperative staff, great service, delicious food and serene atmosphere. The picturesque view from the pool was absolutely magnificent. They made all the arrangements so we could participate in the exhilarating activities in Kithulgala, all we had to do was relax and have fun all the way. We would like to thank the Kithul Villa staff for making our annual trip a memorable one. ShipNest Sri Lanka.

Amazing stay, lovely people and a really beautiful view!

Nice place, calm and quiet. The staff is really kind and helpful. The swimming pools is nice though bit steep. Rooms are alright and bathrooms are clean. It is good if a cloth rack can be kept inside the room. Good for a family holiday.

Large old bunglow with renovations with pleasent weather and magnificent surroundings… a serene river flowing by the bunglow… great place to relax and have fun.

Very good place. Very clam. We had a great fun with Boat rafting…
