Wonderful scenery. Excellent staff. Great food. And above all, not too crowdeed. Adjoining the Maswela, where prince Dutugemunu lived his self exile, and overlooking Kothmale resovoir, its a perfect mixture of Nature, history and guest services by Fox resort staff.
Our family of four stayed there 2 nights and the stay was wonderful. The natural beauty of the mountains captured into the old fashioned villa felt like a home away from home. The hospitality of three staff namely akila, umesh and menaka are star class and awesome. Food was high class and tasty. Thanks a lot for them again. One concern to be taken into consideration if possible is a low depth pool side at least 3 feet that is comfortable for small ones. Thanks MAS Villa.

This place have amazed me by the beauty of the nature, magnificent views, quietness that we don’t have in busy cities and the antique style of the house that only accommodates 7 groupsz
House used to belong to the SriLankan minister and later transformed to the hotel leaving all the originality of the old antique srilankan house.
Nice walk on the hotel grounds where you find the thistle tree, which fluff was used in the pillow to calm your head and fell asleep after the long working days, not far down you will see gorgeous 80 + years old bamboo and other old amazing trees.
View of the mountains that are changing every time you look at them, dam, rice field and cacao tree.
If you are peace and nature lover, antique lover, animas and birds lover this place is definitely for you. Special thank you to a head Butler Akila who went far and above his ability to make this place home for a few days…
