This place is a gem on Hanthana Mountain! We were blown away by the host's (Pathi) warm hospitality right from the start when he came out to greet and welcome us into Hanthana House. You can never go wrong with booking this place as the room and toilets are really clean, and it certainly made the stay extremely enjoyable. The view from the balcony of the rooms is quite epic as you can see from my first photo. His wife and the helpers are amicable and made us feel at home with their attentive service, and it really gave us the feeling that they really cared for their guests. The meals served were a mixture of both local fares as well as standard toast and omelette breakfast. They even asked what we would like to have for dinner and I requested 'Kottu Roti' which I absolutely recommend anyone staying there to try. As for the daily itinerary, Pathi had our needs catered to and prepared a knowledgeable, friendly, and safe driver (Satheesh) to ensure we get to see most of the picturesque sights that Kandy has to offer. We loved that they had a driver to bring us about on our trips during the day given the inaccessibility of the location as well. The host, his helpers, and driver made us fall in love with Sri Lanka so do yourself and us a favour by hesitating no more and booking this accommodation today! Satisfaction guaranteed!

Very nice on the hill overlooking the jungle and the city located hotel. Nice rooms with mosquito net, fan and clean bathroom. The breakfast and rich typical singalesische dinner is served in the dining room in a very family atmosphere, right next door we cooked. The owner has a bit of a friendly look. Were very satisfied.
