Best place I have been so far. If you are looking for a relax and refreshing weekend this is the place. No word to describe the food. You can taste signature dishes. Staff is friendly and gives exceptional service. Always make sure to feel that you are among your own. Nice place inside the Galle Fort. Can recommend to anyone without hesitation.

Amazing colonial type ambience with clever design features. Our room no 3 must be one of the best in the hotel. The bathroom is enormous, lounge and bedroom area with outside balcony are all very comfortable and clean. The staff are exceptional.

We stayed there for our 40th wedding anniversary. An amazing hotel, alongside the beach. Wonderful food, first class service and a lasting happy memory.

Galle Fort, a 17th century UNESCO World Heritage Site on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, welcomed its newest boutique hotel, The Fort Bazaar, in January 2016. Set amidst ageing coral walls on historic Church Street – an atmospheric central thoroughfare – this stunning hotel is home to 18 stylish rooms and suites, all with ensuite bathrooms, a buzzy restaurant and bar, a library, cinema, spa and 15-metre swimming pool. The Fort Bazaar is fresh and contemporary, and its chic understated interiors feel distinctly Middle Eastern, as does its fabulous cuisine, both of which richly reflect the fort’s Moorish history. The hotel’s 15 ‘Bazaar’ and ‘Banyan’ bedrooms open onto a central courtyard flanked by cushioned alfresco seating and the three incredibly spacious ‘Upper Suites’ boast balconies with views over the fort’s red-tiled rooftops. The Fort Bazaar also entices Galle Fort day-trippers with the promise of vibrant cocktails and a gourmet restaurant overseen by Executive Chef Neal Giles. The hotel is ideally located for visiting Galle Fort’s sights and attractions, as well as Galle’s famed international test cricket ground and the region’s sandy beaches. Please Note : At present, the swimming pool isn’t open (but free access is provided to the pool of a nearby hotel, 10 minutes away, or the pool at sister property, The Beach Club, 15 – 20 minutes away, along with complimentary transfers by tuk tuk) ; and there is currently no liquor license (guests may bring their own alcohol).

We finished our Sri Lanka trip in Galle and the Fort Bazaar is really a awesome hotel and restaurant — architecture/ deco is great, service was top level for all our requests, restaurant excellent for both diner and breakfast, room was big, with this mixte decoration (old and new) … a great pleasure / Stay.

It is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are extremely nice, not posh, just very simple and spacious. The personnel very friendly and they have a free coffe and homemade pastries. Be aware they dont serve alcohol, however they don't charge corkage if you bring your own.

Their food here is simply the best with just the right flavors and the staff is professional and friendly while the rooms are of the highest standard. Tip: try their Sri Lankan spicy fish curry with rice.

Nice place. Marked down as I didn't know that it was a "dry" place. There is a bar but no drinks. Had to walk 20 min to find a real bar. Slow service to the point that we walked out of the dinning room, it took so long we went elsewhere to eat.

Had one of the most amazing stays here in May 2017. Service staff is exceptional and goes out of it's way to help you. The restaurant has amazing food. Most surprising dish was actually Coconut water. :P Reasonably priced for the area although might still be called a bit expensive.

Service is excellent! The people that work here are super friendly. Love the architecture as well. Food was great too. Will definitely recommend this place to travelers that want to explore Galle.

Historical dutch colonial house renovate as a moden and luxury hotel. Very friendly staff and tasty foods. Rooms are fabulous, modern and clean. Great choice to enjoy your holiday.

The best service I ever received in the hundreds of hotels I've ever checked in. Coming from the Hospitality and F&B industry, they surpassed every and each one of my expectations. A role model in service attitude and customer orientation. If you go to Sri Lanka, this hotel is a must.
Located inside the Galle Fort, you will travel in time to a British Colonial fort with lovely places to visit. Don't miss the lighthouse, the clock tower, the Dutch Hospital for dining venues and the spectacular views on top of the walls of the Fort.
