Best Place in Sri Lanka it was wonderful to be there.

We stayed 1night, superb place, delicious food, the owner of the hotel always will be around to give his personal care to all our needs, this place is a good example for hospitability, rooms were clean & in order, my recommendation to anyone who goes to Thalavila next time.

Amazing place not only for kite surfers but also for families! Lovely local people, Sugath and his team make all wishes come true and they have very nice breakfast and dinner. Staying there is pure relaxation and if you need action, pretty much anything can be organised. Right at the beach front with stunning views and simple but very lovely beach huts. These people are really great. I would always go back.

Best beach in the area, great breakfast and dinner, lovely serviced by Rumesh. Location is between the small and the big lagoon. Very fairly priced.

Rooms are very nice and food is the best in the area. All rooms have either One large bed and a queen size bed or two large king size beds which make a family a comfortable holiday. They have there own beach with Omeesha beach resort which is next to the hotel which gives all there guest a beach access from the property. Main thing is the hotel owner who is the very humble person who wants to cater all his guest with the best food. If you go to this property, please ask for the owner Mr. Keerthi who is in return gives you anything under this property. Lovely place and the hotel ownership is blessed to have an experience chef who know his job. His mixed seafood platter is the best in all hotel in Sri Lanka. You will get Lobsters, Jumbo Prawns, Cuttle Fish, Sear Fish and many others at a very reasonable rate. If you are booked on HB, you are entitle for this amazing meal.

Had an amazing time at Ocean Wind. Rooms were comfy and the washroom concept was really nice. Pool and Beach were good as well (beach is a short walk away). They also have their own boats for Dolphin watching. Really enjoyed the superb hospitality and yummy food more than anything else. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway on a budget. Hope they keep up the great hospitality.

Ocean wind beach resort is a great place to leisure. Good service and supportive staff. If u love vacation on Southern beach this is great place. What a wonderful place. Realy realy enjoyable beach. This is the much better place for anything. Good foods. Good room. Excellent service.

Superb beach front hotel with cabana rooms and easy access to beach and dolphin watching. Had great time there.

Stayed in this place for one night last Friday, superb place to stay when you are in Kalpitiya located very conveniently to all the activities, took 20 minutes boat ride to the Dolphins spend one hour in the sea, the 3 meals we had were great, superb sea food dinner, Mixed Sri Lankan breakfast and rice & curry for lunch. Rooms were clean and spacious beds with clean linen and towels and most of all Nixon, the owner of the hotel always will be around to give his personal care to all your needs. My recommendation to anyone who goes to Kalpitiya next time.

Lovely place, for $7 per person they made the best food we had on our 3 weeks trip in Sri Lanka. The staff was very relaxed (not in a bad way) and friendly.

This resort is placed at a beach front. Walking distance to the kite surfing lagoon. Ideal place for dolphin watching whale watching lagoon tours kite surfing diving and many special food types such as Sri Lankan special dishes as well as well known sea food which is great and great.
Must say about the owner. He is a friendly good human to me and gave a great well come to our team and the hospitality was satisfied up to the max.

Great manager, great food, great place, great vibes.

Nice place near the ocean. Good meal. Clean room. A little bit noisy. And the manager isn't very helpful. The room price is adequate. But the price for boat tour is high!

It`s a good place. But without hot water and dinners were not tasty.

Ocean View Beach Resort is the only budget place in Kalpitiya directly connected to the sea side. Sugath — the owner, developer, manager — is an environmentally active man and organizes tree planting and plans communal beach cleaning activities for the future of this lovely village. Kite surfing is perfect here — dolphin and whale watching with almost 100% encounters and diving options are there as well (also check out Ocean Lanka Kalpitiya — the owner Shanaka gives reasonable prices and knows good places for up to 15 meter dives).
The Resort has clean and comparativelly spacious huts with attached bathrooms. They are simple but created with love and taste and it is a great feel to be there. Sugath is activelly caring for your wellbeing offering the choices for breakfasts and other meals. They have no menu yet but offer food at all times of the day and I can warmly recommend to eat here. Food is still prepared by the housewife Shamila and really delicious, safe (we ate tons of fresh salad during our 5 days in the fishing village) and very good value for money.
I warmly recommend to plan your stay here, be cared for by a lovely family and relax into whatever activity you came for. One more tip: check out the training times of the families son Sachin who might soon be one of the worlds best Kite surfers. We watched his artistic rides and were awestruck.
Last I want to thank the owners friend Nevil who gave us a lobster as present for our final dinner.
