We have just returned from a long weekend at this resort. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Amel, Tracey and Luke (Edward was in UK) are a magnificent team and excellent hosts. The chalets are beautifully appointed and are spacious and airy. They give great views of the wildlife on the Dutch canal which borders the property and are surrounded by attractive gardens, a wonderful pool and coconut trees. The deserted beach beckons in front of the plot offering miles of beach walks, fishermen, local villages and very friendly villagers. The food is delicious. Amel's Sri Lankan breakfast is divine and will keep you going until another feast in the evening… all home cooked and using local produce. We visited a local Wetland nature reserve which was stunning and offered sightings of hundreds of local bird species.
This is a delightful resort for complete relaxation and tranquility… we would recommend a stay at Twin Waters to friends and family and hope to return ourselves soon.

We had an amazing stay at Twin Waters Resort. The rooms are spacious, air conditioned with a quiet balcony towards the mangrove lagoon. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and breakfast that was served on a deck among palm trees with view of the sea. All this is topped by Edward and Manel, the remarkable, observant, knowledgeable and friendly hosts who made our stay unforgettable.

We wanted somewhere quiet and out of the way, but with good food, proper air conditioning, funcioning internet and nearby nature walks, Twin Waters fulfilled all!
The friendliness of Edward and the marvellous cooking by his charming wife (the best and most subtle food we had in Sri lanka) made this stay more like being with long lost friends than being in a resort. The resort only has a few rooms, so you're never going to feel crowded. Our first two nights we were the only guests, perfect if you like that sort of thing. We did!
Twin Waters is the only tourist accomodation in the area, so everything about the nearby village is authentic and the adults' smiles and childrens' greetings are genuine. If you don't have transport tuk tuks are readily avaiable and ridiculously cheap.
It was a real pleaure to have a quiet swim in the pool before breakfast, though on two of the three days we did better than that: the Anaiwilundawa National Park (a Ramsar site of international importance for migrating birds) is 10 minutes by car, or 15 by tuk tuk. The park, a mixture of woods and wetlands, is beautiful, a hard surfaced red topped track runs through the park, shaded by lovely old trees, the park is full of birds… and there is nobody. Walking through here at 7am, while the birds are active and the temperature still reasonably cool, was sheer heaven.

My partner and I had the most wonderful experience staying at the Twin Waters resort. Edward, his family and business partner Luke went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The chalets are beautiful, immaculately clean and look out on to a tranquil river. To the other side of the chalet there is a natural beach. The resort is in a local area, the villagers are kind and wave at you on your way to the resort. The area is surrounded by coconut trees and there are many birds, squirrels and wildlife. The infinity pool is a large size and we mostly had this to ourselves looking over the river. The food is all delicious and home cooked and the coconut drinks are very refreshing! I would definitely recommend a stay here for a relaxing break and would love to return again one day! Thanks Edward, Luke & family. From Georgina & Ashley.

We could not have been made more welcome by the owners of Twin Waters. The quality of the accommodation was superb. The meals varied and delicious. We swam in the sea and in the pool. Explored the local area by foot. We traveled directly from the airport to recuperate from the journey and as a meeting place for family travelling from different countries. Another time we would stay longer.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
Edward and his wife and daughter and business partner are terrific hosts.

Edward is so welcoming, interesting and charming. We loved the location which was stunning scenery combined with peace and quiet. The food was wonderful and it was one of the best breakfasts we had in Sri Lanka. The drive is bumpy and long but our driver managed to get us there in the dark.
The rooms are spacious but sadly ours wasn't quite finished. Edward has run out of money and if I had plenty I would give them some to finish this wonderful dream hotel. Please no funny mats in the bathroom 😀 You are lovely people and we wish you every success.

Apartments are brand new, best quality furniture, bedding-universal plug fittings, SRI Lankan food scrumptious, awesome swimming pool, bathrooms fitted with modern fittings, service impeccable — highly recommended as they will make you feel very welcome and please you as best as they can fulfilling any special requests you may have to the best of their ability.

This is an absolute gem of a place! Lovely for nature lovers and people looking for a calm and quiet holiday. They are still very new and building up the place more so I'm sure itl go from great to even better. Sadly we were there for only a short stay but wish we had more time to spend. Still the owners and staff were so very helpful to make our short visit the most comfortable! Thank you team. We will definitely be back!

We ended our trip in Sri Lanka in this lovely place and we were so happy with our choice! It is a family run business and you can really feel the family atmosphere here, apartments were nice and clean and the view from the terrace was stunnig. We also love the pool which is surrounded by the palms with a beautiful view to the bay. The owners were extremly nice, polite and caring. Dona is a great chef! I am very choosy regarding the food and my boyfriend as well and we just love the food here! It was the best we had in Sri Lanka and the cheapest! We definitely recommend this place.

Twin water resort hotel chilaw is amazingly beautiful with a very impressive interior and also a very eco –friendly construction with a unbelievable warm hospitality. A beautiful place to relax and makes us feel — at — home. My family had a great experience during my stay there. The rooms are very classy with all the facilities to fulfil our needs. The food served there is very delicious and customize. And also not forgetting to mention about the management specially Mr & Mr. Anderson And Mr, Roshan who are very pleasing an. Twin waters is definitely the highlight of our Sri Lanka trip! Everything was just perfect, from the beautiful setting. It's nestled between a beautiful beach and river. The rooms are gorgeous and each has a balcony to enjoy the views with a cup of tea in the morning. We got up at 6 to watch the sun rise over the palm trees and river! but the best thing about twin towers has to be the food. It was the best breakfast we had during a whole month in Sri Lanka. We can't wait to get back here!
