I stayed there for two weeks just about two weeks ago.
This is a good hotel but the 4 stars are not deserved at all! A full pool, you have to get up early to get room. There is a snack bar, so if your sunbeds are sticky it's normal. I could see a cockroach by the pool. Too bad the rooms are not soundproofed, in the morning 9:30 activity until the evening 11pm full music.
It's impossible to have a fat morning without the housekeepers waking us up at 8am to clean up. Knowing that she toc once everything and enters. So surprise in towel in the bathroom, by the housekeeper. They don't change the sheets!
On the other hand, the staff is great, they are welcoming. Small stalls downstairs, to book excursions that come directly to pick us up from the hotel, for low prices. Can't get bored!
Lack of organization for the snack bar, when it's not an all-inclusive. They say it's not understood but everyone uses without any control!

Absolute wow! Lovely building, helpful staff and good buffet food with wide choice. We had a 4th floor room overlooking the sea side. This was very quiet, which was what we looked for. Very spacious kings size bed. Very clean. Good pool & grounds easy to walk to sea. Highly recommend.

12-19 June 2018 fabulous weather! Great hotel we upgraded so had tea and coffee making facilities, dressing gowns and slippers, toiletries, fridge and safe in the room — which was lovely. The beds were so comfortable I could have brought one home. The hotel is great, outside music, indoor show bar each evening, disco until 2am, self-service wine, beer and soft drinks. The hotel staff were helpful and respectful and could not do enough for us. All inclusive breakfast, lunch, dinner, crepes 5-6pm, self service snack bar 10am — 6pm. Plenty of choice of food plus themed nights. Loads of sunbeds around a good sized pool, 2 small dip pools and adult only area across the road. I went on holiday with my sister and importantly we felt safe. This is a quiet area but beautiful with good (cheap) bus connections to the capital city and other seaside areas. We loved this holiday and would recommend it.

Hotel not brand new but really well maintained, very clean, and modernising (opening of a private solarium (18 years and more because alcohol in self service on site) with whirlpool), the staff is very nice, and trilingual an/FR/ES for the very big Majority.
The restaurant's unlimited buffet at different meal times is varied as possible, impossible to eat twice the same unless you really want it.
Shops and post Office on site. Lots of animations during the day and in the evening, impossible to get bored. All this in addition to the excursions planned by the different operators for all-inclusive formulas.
The rooms are sober but very correct, clean, and dressing room and safe at disposal.

The food was excellent, the room was very clean and comfortable.
The hotel has been refurbished and improved. Some things should be taken into account, the pool area very slippery and I saw how some people fell.
A detail that I have not put 4 stars has been by the staff that is collecting the dishes of the dining room, they do not care that they have people eating very close to them they start to squeal and to make comments of their work and turns in a rather unpleasant way.
Something they should take into account because it gives a very bad image.

BEWARE OF YOUR BELONGINGS! The food is really good and lots of variety! The hotel is very very old! It lacks enough cleanliness! Quite outdated to be a 4 star! The nights are very annoying as they have the music and the people drunk until late at night! The cleanliness and room service horrible! BEWARE OF YOUR BELONGINGS! I stole clothes, and tried to talk to the receptionist on several occasions and no case, total was lack of interest to the situation, I sent a complaint to address and has today still hope answer!

Hotel of great tourist influx. Old but well maintained facilities. Spacious and clean rooms. A lot of tourist-oriented animation. Views on higher plants. It has close to promenade and coasts. Friendly staff. Pasquín reduced. Good accessibility from the highway. Away from the areas of the best beaches. But close to ambient area. Nice terrace and pool area with Jakuzzi.

Great hotel in Las Calstillas in Tenerife.

I have stayed several times in this hotel and the experience has gone to better each time. The staff at the hotel are very attentive, the cleanliness of the rooms is outstanding as well as the complimentary services as they usually put water and fruit at the disposal of the guests at no extra cost. The bed is huge, firm and very comfortable. Although some rooms are not completely renovated, they have been making improvements over time. It is a hotel close to Santa Cruz and is in an area where it is easy to park. It also offers a full buffet breakfast service and varied entertainment activities. I would repeat without hesitation.

Was good. I enjoyed my all inclusive holiday here. Different food available everyday from burgers to sushi. (The sausages were always bad though) If the bed I slept on wasn't so hard, I'd have given 5 stars (it was also so creaky that if anyone was sleeping in the same room/bed as you, if they moved they'd wake you.

Clean hotel. But room cleaners are not extremely efficient as after trimming beard, I cleaned the sink but some bits that went on the shelf at the back of the sink, were still there when we left 3 days later. They also neglected to empty the bin all week in our superior room. Hotel is on a bus route, but there is nothing to see or do locally, so I would give the location a 1 out of 5. Food was low average, and certainly not 4 Star. Swimming pool is very small, and is exaggerated in pictures. Also, the garden is hardly any bigger than the average housing estate garden. But the very best is made of the tiny space, and does provide a tranquil retreat from the loud swimming pool area. The reception area is run down, and we did not receive a decent welcome from the reception staff (two middle age men, who didn't even smile on the arrival of a dozen or so guests). This hotel does not deserve 4 stars, but maybe 3+. Pictures are from the ninth floor, and show the pool and view from balcony. The price of the hotel from tui does reflect these comments, and for £1000 for 4 nights including flights in April 2018 on an all inclusive basis is a good price, but I would hesitate to pay more. Would my wife and I come back? No. This is because of the odd smell in public areas and the location.

Great is not the first time and VA has muxo better facilities and perfect treatment would have llebado the last star if it had not been x the food have lowered a bit the warm.

Rooms were spotless, a decent size and the premium upgrade for the safe in the room as well as fridge etc is worth it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were good, entertainment was pretty fun too. The buffet food was… very very average. Avoid the chicken croquets. And ignore any good reviews of the on site Italian restaurant. It was genuinely foul. Such a shame.

A pretty good hotel. Always plenty going on which is just as well as there is very little else in the immediate area. Rooms well cared for on a daily basis. Four bars and an excellent restaurant. Snack bar also available through the day. The adults only area towards the coastline is a hidden gem but less desirable when the wind is blowing as it was during our visit (March '18).

This old but very clean and careful.

Hotel is spotlessly clean in all areas, staff are helpful, polite and friendly nothing is too much trouble, food is varied and in abundance as are the soft and alcoholic drinks. Good, full/all day entertainment program. Pool is on the small side but ample sunbathing areas and loungers. My only criticism isn't with the hotel but with the clientele, while most are lovely, like-minded middle aged to elderly there have been some groups of loud, alcohol swilling louts (for want of a better word) Beaches are quite stoney and a 5min walk away (turn right our of the hotel) but fine with water shoes. Locals are mostly English spoken and very helpful. Overall a very pleasant experience, a holiday destination I would return to.

My wife and myself have been at this hotel nearly every year in late September as we celebrate our wedding anniversary here. We love the hotel and the area. Always enjoy the hotel's friendliness staff aways helpful. We go for a superior room and sea view it's worth that wee bit extra as you get fresh water & tea/coffee etc everyday so you can enjoy a cuppa in the room. The food gets better every year and there is aways a very good choice. Also use get to use a bath robe & matching slippers. The room was clean & tidy the maid Jennifer was great and friendly. Will be back in late September to celebrate our 11th anniversary. (We also try and come in January. Not alway possible).

There were 2 cockroaches in the room. Very old interior installations. The beds were not comfortable at all. It's economical but it's not a four star.

Room good. No breakfast, lots of mediocre quality stuff. Canteen atmosphere. Nothing to do with a 3-star. Jacuzzi 1 out of 2 that works. Otherwise the rest is cool. Close to the beaches, beautiful decoration.

Quiet place near the beach.

For many years now we have come to this hotel. We can say nothing negative, have always had very good experiences and found many friends. Everyone is always very anxious and there has never been any language problems before. Animation is class. The rooms are gradually being renovated.

Very clean and friendly staff. Swimming pool and Jacuzzis at the top. Has a solarium with Jacuzzis in front of the sea outside the hotel.

Good value all-inclusive hotel, but not 4 star rating. Possibly 3.5 stars with some improvements. Personally I found it a bit crowded and the nicer areas were filled too quickly. Sun bed areas around pool were too small for the number of patrons. The animation during the day was inadequate as there was no room to play games. Food was good and help yourself to beer and wine during meals was good. Tea on the morning was spoilt by lack of milk provision beside vending machines. Easy win for hotel management. (not everybody is a coffee drinker) Rooms were very good although interlinking walls were not as soundproof as they could be. 5 stars to hotel for giving us (elderly) patrons the quiet room we requested on the 9 th floor. The high floor did not bother us as the lifts worked great. P. S… is it the policy of the hotel to keep the higher levels for mature patrons? I if so, I think it is a good idea… 5 stars to management of hotel. As you know, children, teens and young couples can ruin an older persons holiday with excessive noise. John.

2-Star Hotel if you arrive. Unfit children not people Q look for a place to sleep. It is only focused on alcoholics who wish to party Monday through Friday from 2pm. Dirty, old and sloppy. Not recommended. Expensive for what they offer.

Very friendly staff, lovely large rooms and the meals are fabulous! Can't recommend the food highly enough, it was among the best we have had in hotels. The only downside we found was that now the hotel has doubled in size, the poolside is rather cramped. Although the poolside has tiered areas it is not difficult to seem crowded. I would recommend this hotel and we would not hesitate to go there again. We had great weather when we went in January this year.

Room upgrade to premier don't know why, always clean and tidy, food good entertainment ok. Plenty of sun beds. Nice promanade walk to next town only 1 small beach with black sand very rarely saw anyone on it. Great public transportation to other parts of the island. All inclusive finishes at 11 which is a little early. If booking ask for room overlooking the pool gets the best sun.

All-inclusive is the only way to enjoy the hotel to its fullest. It's not a holiday town so the entertainment, food and drink is what makes the hotel pleasant. That said, there are plenty of excursions you can take. Overall decent place for a hotel based relaxing holiday, if you like that kind.

The great disadvantage of this place is the presence of English same lamdba who who like all over the world take an all Inclusive, stay all day at the hotel to drink more than reason and be drunk every day from 10:00. It goes on late at night.
It should also be mentioned that the show room as well as the nightclub are located under the rooms, so hello rest.
Otherwise very good kitchen varies.

Quite a large hotel and I was a bit wary of the all inclusive but there was no need. Food was fresh and plentiful. The real downside of the place is that the pool is very cold so probably okay in the Summer but not when I was there in January lol. Staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Lovely walk along the seafront but beware of steep hills on your return. Great for getting fit.

Well, not necessarily the hoot. Pretty down House. The staff is commendable and has quite a bit of relativity. Food was really not bad but the ambiance in the restaurant is like a large canteen. I can't explain the * * * *. Was nice in much better hotel with only * * *. The audience with many, I'll tell you. Drinking until the doctor comes is getting used to. No recommendation.

It's very clean and pretty. All the employees are very correct and friendly. It is a very nice place to stay.

It is a hotel that looks for its own benefit, if there are problems of payment (it was hosted by the company) refuse to give a solution and threaten to denounce you if you leave the hotel. The extra star gets it by having a very nice night receptionist, a swimming pool and cojonudos jacuzzis and clean rooms. Management and Administration 2 stubborn heads as menacing mules to denounce… Unfortunate.

Very good place to spend your stay in TENERIFE, very good value for money and a 15 minutes drive from the city center.

The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. The buffet varied and with live food. The pools and the sun areas with lots of sunbeds. The team of professionals very attentive at all times. Definitely worth it! 'll!

Very good value for money, excellent treatment of the staff especially the reception, and a great buffet with very varied and quality products at breakfast. The only drawback that can be put to this hotel is that it urgently needs a remodel as it has been quite outdated.

For me, everything is perfect, from the humane treatment of all the workers, floor maids, catering, entertainment staff and reception, as well as the room and the state of the hotel. The food, better than in other hotels visited previously and very varied. Thank you very much to the hotel for making our visit a very pleasant day.

Well-appointed, spacious hotel with the necessary comfort for a stay in the Canary Islands. On the other hand, to those who hope to rest here, go your way; Soundproofing of the rooms almost non existent, animations that last until late and that disturb the evenings and nights, doors not equipped with deduction systems, so it slams perpetually, ventilation systems very noisy outside. Damage.

Staff very friendly and shrewd however does not exist anywhere that there is no bottle of water to drink in the room!

This hotel is pretty old. I visited it for a birthday party. You can rent a lounge, which is really big a confortable. The hotel offers different birthday packs with variety of meals and soft drinks. The service isn't too good. During the time we stayed in the party, the hotel workers forgot to passing around to ask if we wanted something else.

Super Good welcome, pro team and helpful. Good and varied food, alcohol at will for all inclusive. A lot of animation. We went there with a 1 year old baby and everything was fine. Just the pool water is dirty and the English line up at 7am to have a sun lounger at the pool. So when you get to the pool more room and sunbeds taken by towels…

Here now and yes very dated but so clean the staff are so hard working, will go out of their way to help nothing too much trouble food lovely caters for all, sun beds a nightmare, but name a place that isn't busy. Queue starts very very early I got down at half 7 farrrrr too late. But as the surrounding areas are quiet the hotel is the place to be. Jessica on reception was lovely good understanding and the few issues we did have were sorted within minutes. I am here with my teenage boys and they are bored so just beware for children that like to be busy, the water park is the nearest attraction, 49 euros each not cheap. Other activities but with a price tag. Happy holidays.

Great food at the buffet. Including many local dishes. Reasonably priced drinks if not all inclusive. Rooms are clean, have a television with Spanish and British stations. All rooms have ensuite. The pool is always clean. The hot tubs are very nice too. All the staff are helpful and eager to please.

Hotel is probably one of the best all inclusive I've experienced in Europe — especially for the price paid. The food choice is great, always something to eat throughout the day. Sure you can find fault here and there but one would have to look hard to find it. In summary it's great value holiday venue. I would definitely return here.

Very clean hotel. The room that we had was very nice and the cleaning personnel was very polite and offered to clean the room every day. The pool is a bit crowded, but for us it wasn't a problem as we spent our holiday traveling around the island. There is also a "natural pool" very close to this hotel, you can see it in one of my picture. If you are planing to rent a car, you can park your car around the hotel — we were lucky to find a slot quite easy every day. I think that the hotel also offers you some private parking slots, but for us it wasn't needed.

What's up these people the hotel is good value. Found food not very good but lots on offer during whole day. Would of liked more English meals. Staff helpful and friendly. Room and sea view we had excellent for the two of us. Bed hard not enough pillows. Local area we enjoyed exploring. Bus service and coach trips good. Packed lunch not good.

It is the perfect place for those who want to visit the island to be halfway between Santa Cruz, La Laguna, the North and the South of the island. In addition to being renovated, the hotel has a large swimming pool, jacuzzis and is also very near the coast and restaurants. In the shops of the hotel you can find everything from souvenirs to beach, liquor or tobacco products.

Never again will I go back if you gave it to me for free. Rooms very small, sliding door on to the balcony wouldn't close, food was shocking. Staff were only ok, bar service was shocking. The place could do with a good overhaul. Entertainment was not the best.

Here is an honest review. The hotel is OK but nothing special. On the outside you may see three or four place that give the hotel a 4 star it isn't it is a 2 and a half. The lobby is OK. Dated in places the staff only know very basic English. The welcome is friendly but it feels like it has been repeated too many times. Also downstairs are a couple of different areas. They is a games area but 2 put of the 3 pool tables are broken and the one that is not broken did not have all the balls. The ping-pong equipment is missing and the other games are all from the 90 s and need updating. On the other side is a dull looking bar which is just feels lifeless. Downstairs as well is the pool and pool bar. The pool is nice. It is one depth and they are 2 whirlpools problem is you need to go in when it is sunny other the water is freezing. Also outside is a little gym which was quite so that was good to go in now and then. In the basement is they buffet food Hall. The problem with the location of the hotel is that it is no where near any restaurants or any other choice of eating places. It is in a residential area pretty much and you have to get a bus or a taxi to santa curez if you actual want a change of scenery. The buffet is basic the same things everyday the food looks and tates cheap. The pizza is horrible the bead is hard and the juice is distinguishing. Also they have a restaurant which cost 6 euros and the food they is actually good.

Stayed here Feb last year and loved it so returned again. Staff very friendly. Room very clean, cleaned each day and clean towels when required. Dining room staff were all lovely. Food we found to be fairly good standard. Quiet location with bus service jst outside of hotel. Pool clean and tidy with a nice added extra this year of 2 Jacuzzis. Also new this yr a self service drinks bar to avoid queuing providig hot drinks, soft drinks and beer for all inclusive. Hotel does not provided towels for the pool. All in all a good hotel for the price.

My experience at the Hotel Catalonia Punta del Rey, February 6, 2016, has been a disaster because the hotel is the worst I've seen in my life.
If you see advertising on the same ignored, because it is in a State of putrefaction and amazing dirt. The floor and furniture completely damaged and degraded, lack of cleaning, damaged our bath cistern, the soundproofing does not exist, etc.
Depressing public areas, the bar, the pool area soiled with plastic cups and ashtrays for the soil and the restaurant seems more a fair or one market rather than a hotel.
We have lasted 3 nights, we had paid week but it was impossible to be there. We went to another hotel, prior written claim and the theme is with the lawyer because that can not consent, misleading advertising and the conditions of the hotel are really absurd. I do not think to not comply with hygiene and health standards.
I hope to prevent who is seeking to go.

Not impressed with this hotel bedrooms badly needs painted, not enough chairs to sit at the pool bar, food was awful, why do they serve people who are drunk already we had to endure screaming and fighting wont be recommending this hotel.

Afew complaints food low standard quite alot of drunks and fights no towels delivered to rooms for 3 days nice quiet location great bus service to other parts of the island afew good night's entertainment overall 3 star hotel.

Lovely hotel, with lovely amenities and bar attendants, hotel bedrooms were cleaned to a high standard and cleaners were always there to help, overall very pleasant stay, soon as I left I wanted to return, will be returning in the near future. Really miss this place.

Old, poorly maintained and shabby. Buffet with poor variety/quality. The treatment of staff in general: that's correct. Not met, the changes of linens, and the rooms manage to do a little diligently. One night we even found that they had not entered the room: beds unmade, bathroom uncleaned, and the terrace door open as we had left the march. When we complained they came to fix it, but did not bring improvement over the usual. It more than a star.

The reviews left by otrxs usuarixs are todasss correct. Hotel full of extranjerxs. Very old-fashioned but as a base camp to get to know the island well. Take car if you decide to stay here. There is room to park in the area. Quality — correct price even though it was very funny that we ask to change room because we had two beds and in the other were also two beds together but with large sheets XD.

We went in October 2014 and had a great time! Staff were friendly, we had everything we could need and room was clean and comfortable. Not a lot to do in the surrounding area but my boyfriend and I went just to relax and we did. Food was nice and there was something different every day. Also, we got engaged on our balcony on the last night, so this holiday will always be special.

In general the hotel is old, the furniture, the floors, the bathrooms, etc need a renovation urgently. The parking is scarce, difficult to access and ask for the key each time you need to move the car. We found it surprising that the time of access to the room outside the 14, 00 pm, when it is usual to 12.00. The staff. "justito" in terms of care and kindness towards the customer.

Staying in February so cannot blame the hotel for poor weather. The staff and reps àre ok it is a very odd place to site an hotel as there is absolutely nothing of interest within miles. No beach no interesting walks nothing. Car hire is a necessity to go somewhere where there is life. If the firstnights entertainment is anything to go by then avoid the show bar. It was dire. The restaurant food is less good than I hoped (when you have been on Thomson Gold holidays then you expect something faintly comparable — it is not).

4 star only the name, the hotel is very old, do not qualify for a 4 star hotel, the food we didn't anything. The restaurant service very bad! As you can be eating and get the truck where collected lis food scraps and dirty dishes, next to you and throw cutlery and plates while they eat your. That was my little professionalism, the breakfasts were passable, but both restaurant hotel and a single plate to make you an omelette, some impressive tails in the kitchen live, that is why a single plate. Never we will not return to the hotel, and I would not recommend ever, for that price menus hotels there are stars with better conditions. Lifts pleasant for nine plants. Ultimately an error having stayed at this hotel. More than hotel I would say apartments, the only thing that would be missing a kitchen, or give it 2 stars.

We went for a trip IMSERSO, and it was the first time. Certainly the hotel staff was very friendly, the facilities are great and proper cleaning.
But as for the buffet. To be a 4 star hotel, leave much to be desired!. Although it is abundant, quality.
Very varied and very common fruit (PEAR, Apple, banana, Orange, kiwi and papaya) and not all together, and the juices all "of boat". The bread guy!, vegetables, broccoli and cauliflower (once without thawing), pizza just nothing but put it, because there was no forecast of having more in the oven, and after queuing enough while you were going without it.! One day up to pork steaks are finished and which brought then were raw. In short, a sentence.
I don't know if it is that with the world Senior relaxes the quality of this service, but we have been hotels even 3 star, in which the staff gave him seven turns to this campaign. I'm sorry to be so crude, but it is the reality.

The first time I was in this hotel was in the year 97 with my mother by the disappearance of a brother on the island. Since then have gone in about 15 times, the last 3 with my wife and my daughter.
What is what has made me go back to this hotel?
-The staff and the staff with which you relate directly, both at the reception and in the dining room.
-The price, very good value for money.
-The installations, is that they seem to a 3 * at this point if you compare it to other recently built: but still, it is a good hotel. Everytime I go to Tenerife send you an email that I send prices.
-It is a very quiet and hotel located in a zone from which you can go north or South.
-If you think exercise in the gym forget because it has a weight and a static.

9th floor had room and it was raining. Water, the light screwed in bathroom and ceiling bow. Had to move over 4 floors. Animation team were brilliant, with the guests. General entertainment was good. Very polite waiters. Overall impression — they built, wanted to build the hotel and the resort. The sea filled swimming pool by the sea is now in a very bad state of deterioration, neglected and run-down. Guests can definitely not this pool and Sun terrace. Water machine constantly ran out of water in bottles to buy. Cigarette vending machine is always broken and ice-cream maker never worked the 11 days we were there. Swimming pool and diving pool vacuumed only once in 11 days. Pool type a network used to collect leaves, but not with the dirt on the ground nothing.

Having a great hol hotel great lovely food apt great over looking pool friendly staff glad I didnt ler the reviews put me off.

Good hotel but not 4* as I was informed would say its a good 3*, food is good quality and plenty of it. Drinks plentyful and service is good. You have to be up early and que for the doors opening to get a sun bed or you lose out. Plenty going on in the evening with shows. Disco is ok.

Very nice holidays! I had all inclusive package, stayed on a 7th floor with a nice view, food was nice drinks was fine, bartenders dont know any coctails so u need to figure out what to mix. Enjoy your stay.

Just got back from a week staying here (mid March). If you've already booked then don't be too disheartened, we made the best of the week and had good fun! If you haven't booked, consider going somewhere else — you'll probably get something nicer! The hotel was clean, staff polite and facilities ok for the most part. We wouldn't consider it to be 4* — no towels for beach/pool, no bottled water provided, no fridge in room, food was ok — the dining area often felt more like a school canteen! the sea pool wasn't full (apparently damaged in a storm), the mini golf was just a joke, the pool area was ok — not enough parasols or loungers, and the bars were ok — but not what I would expect from a 4* hotel. there isn't much around the hotel, so it depends what kind of holiday you want, you can make the best of it if you want a cheap and cheerful week in the sun.
