SOL by Meliá Falcó Menorca

Our return trip after a first visit last year. The reason for our return was the high quality entertainment and we were not disapppinted. The range of activities is great, we loved aqua gym, pool party, magic carpet, darts, water basket, water polo. The kids disco was great and not too repetitive with same songs evey night like other places we have been. The Greatest Showman was brilliant and my son loved the kids being on stage dancing at the end… a real party atnosphere.
The thing that really stands out though is the manner of the entertainment staff; they interact with guests with warmth, sincerity and kindness and this is led by Juan Carlos who models these values everyday. Antonio, Luon and Giulio were exceptional at the afternoon dance activites and went above and beyond to include my son, who absolutely loved the sessions. We had a LOT of fun playing some of the water sports and darts with Ivan and we LOVED Aitor's dance moves at the pool dance and aqua gym.
The food standard was lower than last year but there was still enough options fot us, albeit not too hot, as others have said.
The hotel is very clean and tidy and well maintained. We didnt mind the token system for drinks.
The life guards are brilliant and have a good balance for safety vigilance and also fun and smiles with guests. We all loved the pools and especially the slides.
Location is perfect with a 3 minute walk to the beautiful beach and we enjoyed kayaking along the coves.

This was our second trip to Sol Falco. We loved it so much in 2023 we came back this year. It was just as good. Improvements have been made to the decor etc. One of the main reasons we came back to this hotel was due to the lovely staff, from reception to cleaners and animation team. We were very pleased upon arrival when we realised it was the same staff throughout. Anna on reception was immaculate, friendly and helpful. The food and atmosphere was slightly different this time of year as we came in June last time. It was just as good and we were happy. Our little boy loved the slides, the pool, the table tennis etc.
Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels everyday. This hotel is a genuine clean and lovely place to create memories with your family.

The location was perfect for us and the hotel was well kept and clean. The staff were very good polite and always helpful. The restaurant and bar staff were excellent.
What I expect from a four star is have basic facilities in the room including in the price you’ve paid. Not charging extra for safety deposit boxes and kettle, and basic drinks like fresh bottled water, TV and coffee should be available in the room. I’ve not travelled in Europe for 20 years, so is this standard practice in continental Europe now.
We enjoyed Menorca has a couple, lovely place to visit.

We’ve just left Sol falco after and thought this was a brilliant 4 star hotel!
Check in was quick. Reception is modern. Staff friendly. The first night the entertainment was really loud from our room as we think it was from the terrace but finished by 11:15. Every other night was quiet. Our room was in the north block adjacent to the pools so fairly close to the entertainment bit.
All the meals were brilliant. Yes much is the same across the salads and sides but the meat and meat dishes changed every night. The pool buffet bar was very samey, beige and not fresh and often had youngsters helping themselves with their fingers. The proper lunch buffet was brilliant. The outside area is beautiful to sit in for dinner. There was a bbq night with outdoor cooking area as well as themed nights. The dinner hall was light and modern with 2 outdoor spaces.
The room was cleaned every day, beds made and fresh bath towels. The room was modern and minimalist.
The hotel did experience power cuts over the course of 24 hours but this was intermittently resolved by the hotel. The dinner of the evening of the cuts was late by 20 mins but not an issue, just made it quite busy. The power cuts meant that the water slides were out of action for a bit but no biggy!
The pool area was great! Plenty of pools to choose from. The slides went into a deep section so useless for our 3 and 6 year olds who aren’t confident swimmers.

Our first time staying at sol falco and a very enjoyable stay it was.
Hotel very clean and rooms pretty much cleaned/new towels every day.
Restaurant definitely worth 4* as food was fantastic with lots of choices.
Splash park was great for all ages and other pools around the hotel grounds.
Token system for drinks was abit of a hassle at times but got on with it.
Entertainment day and night was very good for all to get involved.
Hotel a short walk to two very beautiful beaches with shallow waters with great views.
Marina 5-10 minute walk with plenty of restaurants to eat out.
Quiet area but that didn't bother us.
We would definitely stay again at the sol falco in the future. 👍

I went to Sal Falco with my family at the end of June 2025 into July.
Overall it wasn’t bad but there was a number of things which caused frustration. The positive things were the food was nice, good variety and there was plenty of it, there was always room somewhere in the restaurant. The snack bar at lunch was also nice and always stocked. The kids also loved the pool (I’ll come back to this) and the room was acceptable and clean with good air con. The grounds are lovely and green with lots of flowers. The staff clearly work hard and care about the guests to service them and keep the complex clean.
Things which we found frustrating are below:
1) the water which comes out of the taps in the restaurant tasted like pool water, if it’s treated or filtered I’m not sure, but it wasn’t nice. This is also the only water available so we had to buy big bottles from a nearby shop.
2) the token system for your drinks is a good green idea but annoying. You exchange the token for a plastic cup which almost becomes your new child for the week, as you have to look after the cup and exchange back for your token when you don’t want another drink. It’s just another thing to remember and not ideal.
3) if you have children who can’t swim, beware the slides are entered from the kids pool which is shallow for toddlers, but the steps lead directly to the slides…which end in the deep end of the adults pool. Bad design here so be careful. There are lifeguards but I didn’t always see one on duty.

Myself, partner and 3 year old son came to Sol FALCÓ beginning of June 2025 along with my parents for a week all inclusive.
The holiday resort was beautiful and clean it really did exceed our expectations. Bar and waiting staff were efficient and the entertainment team really were excellent. They had a fabulous energy and were great with the children. They always seemed to be working so hard with a big smile on their faces.
The rooms were clean and beds comfortable (even the pull out bed). Just be aware that the shower gets very slippy my son became nervous of showering as he almost fell.
Plenty of swimming pools to choose from and lots of chill areas throughout the hotel.
Food was as you’d expect with an all inclusive you will always find something you like. Plenty of options for children! The only con I found was the snack bar which was open when the restaurant wasn’t, in the AM it was breakfast type items eggs ect which would go cold really quick and in the PM burgers, chips, pizzas which again were just cold. I would have liked more cold options with a snack bar such as sandwiches, bagels that kind of thing as you have plenty of hot options at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Evening entertainment was great, the one night they had a party on the terrace which was brilliant with live music, Saxophone player and acrobatic performances a really great atmosphere.

Just returned from family holiday for one week. Amazing place, room was great with own terrace, food delicious and lots of variety for every age.
Pools brilliant for children. The only negative I have if this place is if one pool could be say 0.50metre to 1 metre so toddlers and adults can go in, as well as the paddling pool. The hotel grounds immaculate.
The staff were amazing.
Will definitely be returning.

We are currently still in the hotel but felt compelled to write a review whilst we were here.
This hotel smashed all our expectations. It had everything we wanted in terms of being family oriented, clean, tidy and relatively chilled.
The staff were all excellent, the reception staff were friendly, the entertainment staff were great with both adults and children, they attempted to cater for all nationalities. The cleaning staff did a great job on the rooms.
The food was, in my opinion, one of the better all inclusives I have stayed at. There are a lot of fresh options and all of the food tasted lovely, with the roast beef joint being my favourite. On the whole breakfast was always the best.
The pools were lovely. As per previous posts, the exit pool for the slides are a little deep I believe 1.90m with the other pool at 2.30m but the splash pool is perfect for little ones. Also the lifeguards are happy for you to bring floats, rings and armbands into the pools which really helps with the pools being deep.
I write this as I’m sat on our balcony with my wife looking at the same place for next year. 👍👍👍

We had a lovely week at Sol Falcó. The food was good — a really wide choice of food, sometimes a little cool but there was a microwave to heat it through.
Staff were always helpful, good activities throughout the day.
The best bit for us was the water slides and pool. The pictures don’t do the slides justice. They’re really simple but great entertainment for adults and kids!
Pools just the right temperature for hot weather.
Close walk to the beach for snorkelling.
Room was modern, clean and comfy beds!

We had a fantastic time at Sol Falcó for a spontaneous half-term break. The resort is spacious and beautifully spread out, so it never felt too busy or overwhelming. Despite the hotel being busy, we never struggled to find sunbeds—no need to join the early risers putting towels down!
The kids’ splash park with slides was a huge hit, and there are several quieter pools dotted around the apartment blocks for more peaceful moments. The play park was brilliant too.
Food was excellent—plenty of variety and everything was fresh and tasty. It’s just a 5-minute walk to a gorgeous beach with crystal-clear water that’s perfect for little ones to swim in. Head there early to grab a spot in one of the coves.
Only 10 minutes away is the harbour, with lovely restaurants, bars, and options for boat hire. We also loved the clifftop walks to nearby beaches—pack a bag and explore for the day. The views across to Majorca are stunning.
Highly recommend and would absolutely return!

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Staff all lovely. Spotlessly clean. Bedding/towels changed daily. Food a bit hit and miss most days but lots of choice. We had adjoining family rooms. Spacious and right next to a pool. Only down side I can say is that ALL 7 pools are sooo cold as there fresh water, maybe refreshing in the really hot summer months but certainly a shock when you get in them, pools are also very deep so kids need to be watched or use floats if not good swimmers. All in all we had a really good week. The area is stunning, ate out alot in several of the amazing restaurants. Lots of choice for bars and restaurants and all with beautiful views. Beautiful beaches, one at the back of hotel which is literally 5min walk, restaurants/bars/shops etc. Gorgeous marina with beach nearby, 10 min walk from hotel. Worth visiting Ciutadella. €2 on bus right outside hotel. Was a great 1st family holiday but felt it lacked things to do for the kids, was still a great place.

We had a great family stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. There were plenty of daytime activities for the kids, and the food offered good variety. The only downside was having to carry our luggage and pushchair up the stairs to our room. That said, we actually preferred the low-rise buildings over the typical large apartment blocks found in many hotels. The location is close to the beach, but having a car is definitely a good idea for exploring the island.

Hotel great for families, kids pool and splash pool good with lots of floats and toys.
Rooms clean and fresh although basic — towels changed every day we wanted them, and cleaners in room every day.
Shower only in room which was fine for us but my son slipped as no mat in the shower, this might be good for safety for young children, not sure if there were any rooms with baths but could be tricky for people with babies and very young children.
Evening entertainment was varied and on every night seemed good but we didn’t go every night. Kids disco was great my son loved it although didn’t start till late 8:30-9pm.
Food was good for Spanish all inclusive plenty and varied choice for adults although food was never very warm, kept on hot plates but didn’t seem to work very well. Only down side was lack of choice for kids with it being a family oriented hotel it was disappointing, myself like many others whilst we were there struggled for kids food my son lived on pizza and chips and some other picky bits, even chicken nuggets were only served one night whilst we were there.
The snack bar wasn’t great it looked a bit dried up and was left out all day my husband and I didn’t have anything from it but my son ate the pizza and chips. All in all though good hotel. Resort was lovely and only a 10 minute walk from hotel as is the beach.

Completely perplexed why this hotel is rated as four stars. Staff were lovely, foyer quite posh and pools were great for kids. However you have to pay three euros a day to use the hotel room safe, and three euros a day to hire a kettle for your room (with no tea or coffee supplied). Food was consistently awful: tasted like cheap ingredients and reheats (particularly the pasta and chips) or like it had been kept too long. Even the cereal was stale. The hot plate, where the eggs and omelettes were cooked, was thick with old fat. The whole set up had a school canteen feel. We were very glad we were only half board.
Room was very basic and a bit tired looking. Beds not comfortable and bathroom smelt of drains. The kids entertainment started at 8.30pm which was too late.
Not sure whether this was all a symptom of it being end of season but we won’t be returning.
Menorca and its people are great. This hotel wasnt.

On arrival the process was very smooth, our room was lovely and clean couldn't fault it. However we were on 2nd floor so had to carry pushchair up the stairs several times a day.
Cup token process makes sense. We always just kept our cups all day until.
Can't moan about breakfast had same thing everyday by choice was lovely good selection to choose from.
Sometimes a little cold but was a microwave provided.
The pool is very cold sometimes to the point we didn't go in it. It's also very deep so the some kids can't really make use of the slides unless there prepared to submerge under the water on landing. The kids little pool seems most popular and it's the smallest pool but my kid still had fun!
Pool areas very tidy and well manned by lifeguards.
Games room and park was good used that nearly every day.
Good selection of food for lunch and dinner love the meatballs and Mexican night food was very tasty.
Drink jugs at dinner are brill saves you keep going up.
Drinks in general were good cruzcampo as local beer was perfect for me.
Entertainment was too late for kids but my kid enjoyed it when she did go.
Adult entertainment we thought was more than reasonable they put alot of time and effort into their shows. We seen the hotel entertainment team and hired entertainment both can't fault.
Marina for shops, bars and restaurants 10 minute walk.
Beach 10 minute walk that was lovely and quaint went there few times sea was clear and warm!
Local supermarket 5 minute walk.

Not the best All inclusive we've stayed in and we don't think it warrants 4 stars but there are definitely more positives than negatives.
The whole complex was well cared for and spotlessly clean.
The staff were wonderful, polite friendly and so hardworking. All of them. (Apart from a couple of grumps behind the bar — but to be fair they were so busy I'm not honestly surprised).
The entertainment team were brilliant for both adults and children. Daytime and evening. Maybe the evening entertainment did start too late and there could have been a bit more but it was enjoyable.
Housekeeping was excellent and the rooms were of a good standard. Although the beds were rock hard.
The pools were cleaned every day and always manned by the lifeguards. They were deep and freezing but we enjoyed them.
The biggest gripe we had was the food.
It was awful. There were a lot of choices but the quality was poor. Apart from the breakfast. The food was always cold. We had to reheat ours in the microwave every time. Thank goodness we didn't get food poisoning. Everything in the restaurant needs to be looked at. The restaurant was huge to cater for such a large hotel and it was like a glorified canteen. It was impossible to enjoy a meal. We couldn't wait to eat and get out of there. In the end we ate out every night for an enjoyable meal.
Other than the food we had a wonderful stay and we thank the Sol Falco for an enjoyable holiday.
