Oh my! we stayed in early June 25 for 10 nights. The GOOD: the pool is perfect, very quiet and you can get a lounger at any time of the day, barely anyone around or at the pool. Cleanliness is so so as they do not come every day. The BAD: we could not wait to go back home to have some rest as we got about 1hr each morning of peace and quiet. We had 1st floor apt facing the bouncy orcas venue which turned on the music and blowing of the orcas at 10am and was extremely rowdy till midnight. And to top it up Jimmy Hills karaoke till 2am. We had to sleep with the doors and windows closed at all times and could not relax on the balcony in the evenings. It was exhausting.
Vista Picas is situated either handily for a nearby Irish karaoke bar, or a nightmare if you want a good nights sleep. The excruciating sound can go on till 3am some nights. Mostly the “entertainment” (or torture) just goes on till midnight. It’s no use just closing all doors and windows as they crank the volume up to 11. The noise is worst in the 2 bedroom apartments which are all closest to the Irish bar and Jimmy Hills, a sort of poor man’s Wetherspoons which has wall to wall football on screen every day. Jimmy Hills is noisy but the Irish bar is off the scale for mind-numbing inane noise. The staff at Vista Picas are exceptionally good. Beware taking half board at the end of September/early October. Every day half the menu is”not available”. If you’re there for a fortnight, you end up rotating a few meals to your taste 3 to 4 times. If the lamb shoulder IS available, it’s superb. Best beach about 30 minutes walk away is Cala en Blanes. Great pool on site with more than enough Sun loungers. Bus trip to Ciutadella costs 1.70€ pp. Crowded even out of season. Did we have a great holiday? Yes. Would we go again? No.

Hotel is advertised as family friendly but atmosphere is too quiet, no music, food or lilos allowed around the pool and is very boring for children. Facilities are outdated, broken pool tables and old arcade machines. Could do with modernising to suit younger generation of kids. Rooms are very basic and I would question the ability to self cater out of them, but they are spotless and the staff here are very friendly. Local town is very run down seems almost a shadow of its former self from a time 20 years ago. No beaches and not many options of restaurants or bars. Jimmy Hill square next door provides most of the cruise ship style entertainment but is perfect for everyone’s needs.
Overall very basic and is in dire need of some atmosphere and modernisation.
