Hotel Anfora

Very nice hotel, clean, excellent location, impeccable service.

Hotel Anfora is located in the center of Melilla Spain. It is a small and very old hotel. The rooms are small and smelly. The furniture is old and it doesn't feel warm. We chose this hotel because we made the reservation at the last minute and we had not much choice. The hotel surprisingly received over 8 points on one of the online booking pages! I started not to believe in those pages ratings any more. Because I had a similar experience before. Once I booked an apartment from Booking. When I arrived at the location, there was no apartment and no refunds. Anyway, Hotel Anfora's location is very good. It is close to everywhere. The hotel doesn't have a parking place. However, if you look around you can find a parking place. We stayed on the first floor in the back part of the hotel. There is a bar behind it and it starts operating after 23:00. It's open until the morning. People make a lot of noise! I woke up twice in at 3 and 4 AM in the morning and I couldn't sleep. I have to mention that the employees at the reception desk are very nice and friendly. Enjoy?

Budget hotel. Basic facilities, very clean. Superb location with incredibly friendly staff. Restaurant with great food and very friendly manager! A fantastic weekend watching my son play against Melilla. We will be returning.

Hotel is a little bit old needs a little bit of renovation BUT everything is still perfect. They clean the room daily, they'll assist you late check in just let them know. My room has a terrasa and I love the view from there. All the time I'm here I feel safe and my things.

My room was simple but clean, and the service exceeded my expectations for a budget property. Thanks to a 24-hour front desk, I was able to check in late, and the hotel even sent a cab to meet my 12:30 a. M. Ferry from Malaga. The dining room was closed, but several nice little coffee shops nearby served breakfast. The location couldn't be beat — three blocks from the castle in one direction, the stunning array of Modernist buildings in the other.

Great location… close to shopping, restaurants, parks, and historical monuments. Every room has a large balcony and the side facing the sea has beautiful views! The room was clean and comfortable. The staff are very kind, helpful and informative. I highly recommend this hotel… especially if it is your first visit to Melilla.

This is a budget hotel and doesnt set out to be anything else. Bad reviews are people who want something for nothing! Hotel is centrally located! Bedrooms are quite spacious and bathrooms lovely — my room had obviously been repainted to freshen it up and tiles in bathroom were lovely. Over bath shower was good too. Food offering is better than expected — breakfast on a tray — see photo — was good. They also offer a set menu for dinner at €10. That is very good value and it is freshly prepared food — not frozen as someone has suggested?! There are also plenty of other places to eat locally. Staff are efficient and poco friendly — they only speak Spanish but are very helpful. Restaurant on top floor — 5th. There is a roof terrace with great views but this area is currently not used for anything. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. There is a fridge in bedroom which is a nice touch and water provided on first night. I paid £50 per night — peak season. That is very good value for what you get. I like to explore different hotels at all levels!
