Marins Playa

I chose the hotel mainly for the location, a bit at the side of the city, but still close to the seaside and it turned out to be a fabulous choice. A sandy beach is approx. 10-15 minutes away and the stroll is really nice. The hotel grounds are big and there's a couple of buildings that are part of the hotel. It is VERY kid-centered, so that's a plus for families. While I prefer a more quiet alone time, the situation was bearable to me. The rooftop terrace is adult only, so if you're like me, use it! There's also a seperate adult only restaurant that serves meals, so I could see the effort the hotel is making to accomodate the needs of childfree customers. There was everything you might need for a relaxed day on hotel grounds: restaurant, bar, pools, sundbeds, gym, saunas, indoor pool, spa, hotel activites — and a few minutes away at the promenade, lots of restaurants, cafes and shops. The room I was staying at was spotless clean and had a nice view. The beds were super comfortable. An additional perk is a guest-only parking available for free. A nice touch was a bookshelf next to the reception with books left by guest, I assume. It was a nice collection in many languages, so if you want to refresh eg. Your German with a light read, grab a book from there :) Another nice touch was that the hotel and pool area is a smokefree zone (although I saw guest smoking on balconies, so I guess it's allowed there).

Fantastic hotel, ideal for families with children. Rooms and area outside is very clean. I wish I was back to this hotel again in the future.

I enjoyed my stay of 7 nights. Great hotel. My girlfriend and I didn’t like the bed and had trouble sleeping after a few nights because the bed was way too firm. I never sleep on my sides, but I had to turn because my back would hurt too much. The gym in the hotel is already pretty good, but some dumbbells up to 20-30kg and an extra bench would make it a lot better. The threadmill could use some maintenance. We don’t have kids and we liked the adult only breakfast area and rooftop bar. The cocktails at the rooftop bar were not great, way too much ice. Cocktails at every restaurant we’ve been to were MUCH better. Sauna and steam were great. Breakfast is pretty good too.

Lovely clean hotel, with nice spacious rooms and well equipped. The pools are great but were cold! Food is perfect, meal times are hectic as its such a busy spot. The supermarket on site is great. Our only issues were its not really for English-speaking families. So our kids didn't get to interact much and the European guests were a bit on the grumpy side! Sun loungers plenty of them but they go very early in the morning. Other than that an enjoyable stay hotel is close to everything and found the local people very friendly.

We stayed here in August as two families of 5 (2 adults & 3 children aged 5-12) and stayed for a week.
The complex has different apartment blocks 1 to 5 we stayed in block 5 which was outside of the hotel across the street.
Two swimming pools a main pool and kids pool with pirate ship and slides.
If we could score out of 10 it would be a 7. In summary nice hotel very clean and staff great. Let down as the facilities have been outgrown by the accommodation hence too cramped and food of poor quality and repetitive.
Pros.
— Rooms very clean and cleaners amazing. Very attentive and accomplished.
— Staff on reception were great especially Andrea and animation team we always happy and friendly.
— Pirate ship slides for the kids they loved this.
— Locations great as equal distance to Cala Millor and Bona.
— External entertainment was great especially Smooth Criminal Jackson show.
Cons.
— Facilities too cramped so Sun beds always taken and too close together. As they built the apartments around the facilities means too many people to communal areas.
— Food was very average and not one memorable dish all holiday. Bland and.
Repetitive.
— Animation team did their best but area is crammed and means mostly restricted for children and adults.
Overall very nice hotel and would recommend they build on the grassy area an extended pool area to keep up with the expanded accommodation and work out a better flow between all the accommodation blocks.

Amazing hotel — its fantastic for families and has amazing staff throughout!

As always an excellent service and a great animation team! Despite the special situation due to Corona, we had a great holiday!
