Kimpton Aysla Mallorca by IHG

One of the best resorts we’ve ever stayed at. The staff was exceptional and attentive. The facilities were beautiful with multiple pools and tremendous food.
We had never been to Mallorca before, but we are coming back very soon. And we plan on staying at the Kimpton!

Beautiful property with very clean pools. Location is isolated and having a car is recommended. Rooms for improvement include having pools open later. Food is quite expensive for what you get. Breakfast buffet is wonderful. Staff were great and very helpful. Wine hour was fun.

Wow! What a week. We have loved every minute of our stay at Aysla. The stand out has been the staff. They are so kind, attentive and nothing is too much trouble.
The hotel itself if beautiful with lovely interiors. It’s very clean and well maintained. We had two adjoining rooms for a family of 5 and it worked perfectly for our family. The pools are also very clean, comfortable and family friendly with shallow areas for little ones.
The breakfasts are incredible. Fresh coffee, orange juice, eggs any way and other delicious pastries. Make sure you get B&B. The food at the pool is expensive and the kids menu is the same price as the adult menu which is frustrating but it does the trick.
The spa and indoor pool are also excellent.
We wouldn’t hesitate to book again! Special mention to the reception staff, Laura, Adrian and Martina (kids club). Thank you for an amazing May half term break. We feel truly relaxed heading home.

Honestly cannot say enough good things about this place.
The staff were just incredible the whole time. Always around, always helpful, never made you feel like you were bothering them. Special mention to Eduardo, the manager, who was genuinely everywhere throughout the day making sure everything was perfect. The kind of person who just makes you feel looked after. Really made the whole stay.
The amenities were also just fantastic — the sauna, pool and gym were all brilliant and honestly we used all three pretty much every day. Everything was in great condition and never felt too busy.
Cannot recommend this place enough.

After months of planning, this hotel did not follow through in a way I’d expect from the Kimpton brand.
I was planning an event on behalf of a client and had been in good faith discussions with the hotel since September for a June event. Early on, communication was great and the team was helpful and responsive. By December, communication changed.
After the New Year, key terms also changed, including a sudden requirement for room blocks after we had been clearly told they were not needed. By that point, my client had already secured accommodations elsewhere that could not be canceled.
After escalating the situation to management, there was no meaningful resolution. I was eventually told the event space we had agreed upon was no longer available because it had been reassigned to a sporting event. They offered to secure another location on my behalf, but unfortunately I had to scramble to rebook vendors and secure a new venue in Mallorca, which is very popular for weddings and events.

Me and my wife stayed at Kimpton Aysla last summer, and what an experience, we are really missing it this year. The location just out of town by the Mallorca Tennis & golf clubs was just perfect, nice and tranquil. The food, bar, pool and rooms were just perfect. The staff were all friendly, welcoming and professional. We would definitely recommend this hotel/resort to anyone, for a short or a long stay, ours was 7 nights, perfect.

Our second trip — and whilst I didn’t think it possible, it exceeded the first! We used the residents discount again, to get a night away from the kids, with a puppy in tow who has joined the family since the last visit. My gosh they could not have been more welcoming — of us or the puppy! The staff in this hotel are exceptional. Every single one of them from reception (Hola Lucy — amazing! ) to the dining staff, the spa staff, the chefs, just so utterly lovely — considering it’s the end of a long season and you must all be knackered and over it you STILL went out of your way to be amazing and it is very appreciated.
We ate at Sana again although not the tasting menu this time and it was as wonderful as last time — everything we ate was delicious. Spa was delightful, room is so comfortable — beautiful big bed, lovely shower, dog bowls and bed in room. I also had a really exceptional cocktail made in the beautiful bar.
The whole hotel is top notch and the staff just push it to the next level. Have a great well earned rest and we will see you next season for sure — with a full sized golden retriever this time :)

Most perfect in every way. From the lovely staff that always know what you need before you even think it to the beautiful interior. The food was just top tier and there was also an incredible selection on courses in the Gym. From Yoga to Crossfit, they got everything and they do it great but they are well equipped, so you can train by yourself and won’t miss a thing. And afterwards you can relax in their amazing spa and pools.
Already planned our next trip.

My experience at the Kimpton Aysla was beyond incredible. From the minute I arrived, I fell in love with the hotel’s whole vibe. The scents throughout the property were absolutely amazing and the decor and open concept feel (with so much light with the indoor/outdoor vibe) were so inviting.
This hotel has far beyond the standard amenities since it also has a gym with workout classes included, a large sauna, a mud room and a salt room! The hot tub and indoor pool are HUGE but unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t actually hot (hopefully something that can be adjusted. ) And the breakfast and Social Hour are unmatched!
I was obsessed with my room since it was so spacious. It had TWO outdoor patios and a bathroom that had the best tub and shower I’ve seen in a hotel in a long time. And the bed was so comfortable, especially with the ceiling fan on, that I slept like a queen.
Lastly, the BEST part of this hotel’s experience is the staff! Lucy checked me in and was so amazing at making sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Charlotte and Jeremy were so personable and genuine in all of our encounters. And Lisa, was so sweet and really wanted the guests to have a great experience during the Social Hours and facilitated great interactions between many of us. I was traveling solo and I truly felt taken care of and almost like I was at my own vacation home. Do not hesitate to stay here if you have the chance!

Aysla is ALL of 5 stars!
The property is elegant, highlighted by that wonderland botanical garden. Another favorite discovery was the indoor pool.
The dining was fantastic cuisine and even more delectable service by the professional staff which can be found at every turn in this Mallorca Island Retreat.

This hotel deserves every star of its 5 star rating. From the moment when we checked in until we checked out, we had a wonderful and luxurious experience. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. After we checked in just before dinner, one of our doors wouldn’t lock. By the time we returned from dinner, it was repaired. The service and dining were on a high level at both the pool and main restaurant. It was also so quiet and peaceful at the pool and on our balcony. We had 2 different categories of rooms. Even the “smaller” room was spacious, warmly decorated, had a very comfortable bed, well stocked mini-bar and high end linens and towels.
Only minus is that the hotel does not have a sea view. But the tranquility and comfort well made up for it.

From the very moment we arrived at the Kimpton Aysla Mallorca, we knew we were in for something special — but our stay turned out to be far better than we ever expected.
We were welcomed with an incredibly warm greeting from Junie, setting the tone for what became an unforgettable stay. The fantastic staff throughout the entire hotel went above and beyond for us at every moment. A special shoutout to Laura, who hosted the social hour with such charm and energy — always making us feel right at home.
Our room was impeccably clean, beautifully presented, and equipped with brilliant, comfortable facilities. The spacious and cosy balcony became one of our favourite places to unwind while taking in the peaceful surroundings. It’s clear that the hotel’s organisation system is flawless, as everything ran smoothly from start to finish, making our stay completely effortless.
Service was exceptional across the board. Lucy and Nico were consistently attentive and kind, while Eduardo’s professionalism stood out time and time again. The superb transport and luggage team — Lucas, Konstantinos, Julian, and Toni — made everything seamless for us, and we appreciated every bit of their help.
Dining was another highlight. Whether inside or out, the staff made every meal a pleasure. Ilda, Montserrat (who makes the finest latte macchiatos we’ve ever had! ), Roberto, Maggie, Romi, Stephanie, Ulysses, and Franco were all exceptional — friendly, efficient, and genuinely thoughtful.

What a beautiful place to stay with an amazing team of friendly happy people. Lucia greeted us with the best and most authentic welcome to a hotel we have had and Lauda was generous with her time and information on how to enjoy the island. Every meal on the Terrace was superb and the breakfasts were amazing. The rooms and gardens were beautifully kept and the whole experience was wonderful. Will be back again!

We spent an extended weekend at the beautiful Kimpton Aysla, and right away we noticed the friendliness and attentiveness of the front desk team.
Hotel was very stylish and clean. Beds are comfortable. Gym was amazing: huge, extraordinary equipped, fitness instructor on site all day and super classes.
However, I would especially like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Antonio and Nestor for their extraordinary and by no means self-evident service:
Unfortunately, I had left my wallet in the hotel safe and only realized it once I was already at the airport. I called the reception desk, and the team immediately began searching and called me back very promptly. Despite having just finished a long night shift, they acted without hesitation, and Antonio even went so far as to personally bring my wallet to me to the airport in his private car (! ). That is far from given, and I truly believe that any employer can count themselves fortunate to have such honest and dedicated employees as Antonio and Nestor – and of course, any guest who might find themselves in such a situation while traveling.

The Kimpton Hotel was truly magnificent! It was so zen and relaxing with beautiful meals and calm surroundings. I have never experienced such an impressive spread at breakfast. The Asian and Mediterranean menus were superb.
The waiting staff were polite and service was relaxed and prompt. The hotel was a little way out of Santa Ponsa but each time we asked for someone to arrange a taxi one of the bell boys took us instead. The room was excellent and cleaned twice daily with nice little touches such as a chocolate being left on our pillow at night.
The gardens were very well maintained and full of herbs which were used in the meals prepared.
The pool area was immaculate and no issues with sun beds at all. We used the adult only pool which was lovely and clean.
There was also an indoor pool and spa with sauna, steam room and salt cave.
My only slight criticism was the lack of water stations in communal areas. We only found one by the indoor pool.
We did a painting class which was complimentary and such fun. It has even encouraged me to take up art again after many years!
The staff could not do enough for us. Too many to name. I do have to mention Lisa who was such a wonderful young lady who we saw most evenings as she served wine to us at the complimentary wine tasting each evening. She looked after us so well and was so very professional and a credit to Kimpton. Also Junie and Lucy for their daily help and advice to me and my husband Alan.

I spent last week at Kimpton Aysla Mallorca with my wife and my daughter. The hotel is very beautiful both indoors and outdoors. The food in the restaurants was of high quality. Besides breakfast we were also for dinner at their restaurants and preferred the Asian one over the Mediterranean.
When it comes to service the level was high on average, some employees stood out for us: Alvaro (he served us well every morning at breakfast) and Jules (one of the first persons we met when he showed us our room) did an outstanding job and made our stay special.
Room for improvement:
1. Birthday: We stayed at this hotel during my birthday, but no one noted this. In a 5*-hotel, I expect that the staff at the check-in at least recognizes this and shows a small gesture at the birthday of the guest.
2. Parking Fees: A hotel that charges 500+€/night shouldn’t charge parking fees (12€ per night) additionally.
3. Dog dirt: We have no problem with dog-friendly hotels, since we like dogs. But what we expect is that the dog dirt on the meadow is taken away very quickly. Of course the dog owners should remove this in the first place. But when this is not the case, it cannot be overseen for several hours when it is on a central place of the hotel that is crossed by guests very often.

Had reasonably high expectations for this hotel but sadly its not up to 5 star level and disappoints in a number of areas. Firstly the restaurants are dreadful value. When you are staying at a 5 star rated hotel you expect them to get the basics when it comes to food right. Breakfast was just ok, if not a bit chaotic at times. However the poolside restaurant want to charge you 22 euro for a very basic Ceasar salad and more than that for a basic burger and they regularly couldn't even getting the cooking of chips right. When you add in 18 euro for an Aperol Spritz and 5.50 for a 330ml soft drink, it begins to look poor value.
The hotel also has a policy of allowing people (supposedly members of the gym) to wander in on a daily basis and use the pool. Fine as a principle I suppose and when its not peak season I'm sure its not an issue, but there were times when guests could not get sunbeds by the pool with these people pitching up and bringing their own food at times so they are clearly not impressed with the food offer either it seems. Paying hotel guest have to have priority I'm afraid.
House-keeping was very hit and miss. We had some childs teddies go missing having been bundled up in bed sheets by the cleaner. When informed the hotel didn't appear too bothered and after being pressed agreed to speak to laundry but to no avail. Loo rolls weren't topped up on two ocassions and cleaning standards were a little lacking generally.
