Absolute heaven. I came to Son Grua for a long week after a five year long project, needing to restore and enjoy nature — and I could not have picked a better place. Nicolás and his team were perfectly attentive and charming.
I hesitated to review this as I don't want to get the secret out, but the place is so special that I had to pay it at least this very little nod.

What an utterly perfect and special place. Nicolás, the owner, and his wife have created something so wonderful it took our breathe away! We stayed for two nights after hiking the GR221 and celebrated my 40th birthday here with my parents. It was absolutely faultless and I cannot wait to return. Happy memories from a truly magical place.

At Son Grua we found a unique and special corner of Mallorca. I contemplated not leaving a review, as I am loathed to share this fantastic find with others! Simply put, this hotel, the grounds and the staff are breathtaking in equal measure.
Nicolás, the owner is sincere, kind and warm. He is deeply proud of the family history at these wonderful premises. The art and the history is just captivating.
We stayed for 4 nights, we dined here for 3 nights. The food was great and the ambience on the outside eating area sat under nightfall, around trees and wildlife — it was truly magical.
I would also like to mention Pedro, he was the waiter during the day pool service and again during the evening dinner time. He had the most calm and happy persona, he made the evening meals with his sheer happiness and enthusiasm for his role. He was probably the best waiter and service we have ever experienced. Honestly, we were so fortunate to have stayed here!
Our only regret, we wish it had been for longer, we can’t wait to return.

I rarely write reviews, but this time I just have to say thank you to Nicolás, the host of this beautiful finca. This place is truly special — surrounded by stunning views, tastefully decorated, and full of charm. The terraces are absolutely magical — perfect for breakfast or dinner with breathtaking scenery. You genuinely don’t feel like leaving the property.
Nicolás clearly loves this place deeply. He’s incredibly attentive to his guests, always nearby, making sure everything runs smoothly. He shares the fascinating history of the finca and brings a personal touch to every detail. The entire staff is warm, kind, and welcoming, which makes the experience even more memorable.
It’s a peaceful, thoughtfully curated retreat where nature, comfort, and beauty come together. I’ll remember it for a long time.

We have had a wonderful stay here for our honeymoon. Nicolas and his team are so attentive and helpful. They even offered to make us a picnic for our journey to the airport.
The pool is beautiful. The whole atmosphere is so calm and set in a beautiful setting. A short drive to restaurants and amenities.
We hope to come back soon.

I cannot praise Son Grua enough! The historic grounds provide respite and peace in a setting of nature. From the welcome drinks provided upon arrival to our sad departure (2 nights did not feel like enough), everything was fabulous about our stay. Meals are delicious, hiking trails are plentiful and jumping into the salt water pool at the end of a long day refreshed us. Nicolas and Marta are very attentive and lovely hosts and made us feel at home. Thank you to Nicolas and Marta; my mother and I wish you the best and hope to come back soon.

We couldn’t possibly recommend Son Grua more highly! Nicolas, Marta, Pedro and the rest of the team made us feel so welcome and at home. The history of the property is fascinating and the grounds are astoundingly beautiful. We loved eating in the different courtyards and terraces listening to the wildlife, and having coffees by the pool overlooking the property and mountains. Nicolas and Marta were always available to provide recommendations on hikes and things to do, which we really valued. The food at Son Grua is excellent, with freshly made breakfast each morning — we also enjoyed two dinners and two lunches in the hotel which were outstanding. Pedro recommended the Mallorcan Gató for dessert which we loved so much he kindly wrote the recipe down. ¡Gracias de corazón a todos por una estancia inolvidable!

Wonderful beautiful peaceful hotel! Service, grounds, food all top notch! If you are looking to step back in time and enjoy a one of a kind experience where you can relax and enjoy nature this is the place!

This was our last stop after one in Palma and another in Menorca, and if your goal is to relax, this is the idyllic place! The owner, Nicolas, was wonderful to chat with, making us feel right at home. The property itself is stunning and beautifully decorated. At night, the clear skies are full of stars, accompanied by the soothing sound of crickets, and in the morning, the birds sing to greet the day. It’s just amazing. The only thing I would change is the bumpy entryway, but it hardly detracts from the overall experience.

Such a beautiful property! The owners are extremely attentive and helpful with everything from property info to local recommendations, and the food was delicious. Located close to surrounding towns and great bikes/hikes (there’s even a few on the property! ), it’s the perfect place for a quiet retreat in Mallorca.

Beautiful, tranquil and surrounded by breathtaking scenery, Son Grua is a truly special spot. We really appreciated the feeling of authenticity throughout — it’s easy to feel transported to another time thanks to the thoughtful interior design and perfectly preserved features. Love the fact it’s so close to Pollenca old town, too (an hour’s walk or 10-min drive). The food is exceptional and the welcome warm. Highly recommend!

We loved this 13 room hotel, Nicolas and Marta are such wonderful hosts and delightful people who love talking to you. One of our family had a traumatic accident on their holiday in Italy while we were there and our hosts showed such empathy. We had a double room with a huge bed and a spectacular bathroom. Breakfast was menu only and so delicious as was the three dinners we had. The salt water swimming pool is one of the best. Marvellous.

This hotel is a hidden gem — in a stunning location this historic villa has you captivated from when you first walk in. The bumpy drive up may not suit a McClaren or sleek sports car, and we had thought that we had come up the back road, but I loved the fact that this was almost like scaling the walls before you are accepted in. The owner Nicholas is both charming and helpful and the food served here is excellent. Our suite was stunning and the views were sublime, even better when viewed from the swimming pool which is located right at the back of the property. It was very hard to pack and leave after our two night stay.

A hidden gem, the property is truly breathtaking. Set back from the road up a private drive the only thing you can hear is the sound of cicadas and sheep bells. It is bliss.
When we arrived Nicolas, the owner, greeted us with a welcome drink and told us about the history of the house. Our room was immaculate with lots of storage space, a huge bed and a modern bathroom. The entire hotel was pristine.
Nicolas and the staff obviously put a lot of time and passion into Son Grua and it absolutely shows.
The views are spectacular and there are a number of walking routes within the grounds. Nicolas is also able to recommend excursions, for example, we booked a tour and wine tasting at the Mortitx vineyard that is approximately a 10/15 minute car journey away.
The saltwater pool is fantastic and there are drinks you can help yourself to in the fridge (subject to disclosing what you have had in the book) and you can dial the reception from the pool phone for cocktails and snacks.
We ate dinner twice at the hotel during our stay. The food was excellent and the service was first class. The best dining experience we had in Pollença.

An absolute gem set in a stunning location far enough from the road to guarantee blissful relaxing silence other than the sounds of sheep and cicadas. However access to Polenca and some lovely beaches on the Cape are not far away. We spent 3 nights with our friends and sadly it wasn't long enough. Dinner underneath the trees on beautifully warm summer evenings was a highlight. Perfectly timed service, an excellent selection of wines and superb food justified staying for dinner 2 of the 3 nights. Staff are friendly, efficient and it is worth the time to speak to Nicolas, the owner, and hear about the history of Son Grua. You can feel — and see — the passion and effort that has gone in to creating a very special place. We look forward to returning one day.

I just spent three lovely nights at Son Grua and give the hotel my best recommendations. The place is lovely situated at the foot of the mountains, surrounded by green and roaming sheep.
Just a short (5-10 mins) drive from the sea, it was the perfect retreat far away from the hussle and buzzle of the coast.
I had dinner at the hotel every for three nights in a row, and the food was amazing.
My room was large and beautifully decorated, and the beds were really good. Also loved the bathroom – see pic😊 The website photos really do not do the place justice.
However, it is the staff that sets the hotel apart. When I arrived late in the evening, I was greeted by Pedro, who invited me to have a seat and a glass of wine. The owner Nicolas made arrangements for me to have dinner ordered while I got settled in the room. As I was there for a diving course, I had to get out in the morning, but they made arrangements to have breakfast delivered to my room the night before. Thanks to Nicolas, Pedro and team for your efforts!
I loved relaxing by the pool in the afternoons, where they provide a fridge with drinks.
In summary, Son Grua felt like a home away from home, which I can't wait to visit again.
