Sol i Vida Hotel

Although I have a property in Porto Cristo I booked 2 nights at this hotel after seeing photos taken by friends who stayed here. The hotel is very modern, spotlessly clean bright and airy. The rooms were tastefully decorated in a minimalistic style. There was bottled water left in the fridge. The towels in the bathroom were beautifully displayed, and the rainfall shower was always hot and great! Breakfast was a varied assortment and I had freshly cooked omelette which was delicious! However what really makes this hotel is the staff. Pablo in reception was very helpful especially as I had a few minor difficulties with the safe and nothing was a problem. This property is immaculate, quiet, great staff and within easy walking distance into Porto Cristo. I would highly recommend it. Oh I forgot to mention the fabulous sunset bar with the lovely lady who works in it! Don’t look anywhere else just book Sol I Vida every time! Unfortunately I forgot to take photos! Maybe next time!

Lovely quiet small hotel within 10 mins walking distance from the harbour & beach (using the steps) Hotel looks to be recently renovated. Room spotless and adequate size only spotted the drawers at side of wardrobe when leaving. Aircon good but difficult to amend temperature. Bathroom a bit on the small side but frosted door & panel not an issue.
Staff were all lovely so friendly & helpful especially Noah & Pablo.
Pool area was beautiful only negative was depth of pool which Is the reason for reduction in score. Breakfast adequate.

I would say this is more of a 3.5 start hotel. Upon entry, there was slight cigarette smell in the lobby, like other has mentioned the front desk person also doubled as the bar person. That said, this place has exceed my expectation and the price and quality value is outstanding. And would recommend and stay again.
The room is clean, the hotel is in a quiet and not busy area with a few walkable beautiful site you can see. The breakfast is simple yet delicious, the chef know how to cook eggs properly without overcooking it. The staff is fabulous. Parking right in front of the hotel. Definitely book on their website as it much cheaper. This was literally much better than the stay I just had at a well known 4 star hotel in pollenca. They also provide free water in room. I’m honestly so happy with this stay.

Spotlessly clean. We had a Superior room which gave us a view over the pool and was peaceful. Other views weren't great in our opinion.
Restaurants are a reasonable walk down a steep hill. We had a car which made life much better as the "best" restaurants are further away still.
Drach Caves are literally over the road.
Breakfast was a help yourself buffet and was fine without being anything special.
There are some lovely comfortable double sun loungers. However, the usual selfish guests put their towels over them and then disappear! This needs to be stopped so that everyone has a chance of using them. There are plenty of normal sun loungers and shade available. The swimming pool is not great to swim in as the depth of most of the pool is too shallow.
Noah & Pablo were very welcoming and efficient.

Excellent Hotel. Peaceful location but short walk to the Marina. All staff were very friendly and helpful. 5 star service and nothing too much trouble. Stayed 117 and 217 superior rooms over the pool, both in good condition and very clean. Use of iron etc no hassle. Lovely atmosphere and when rooftop bar opened was an enjoyable experience with lovely views.

We weren’t staying at the hotel (which looked stunning) but spent an evening on the roof terrace Sky Bar, which was pretty amazing. There were a couple of young DJ’s playing chilled music, the views were outstanding and the staff were friendly. A must do if you are staying in Portocristo (which you also absolutely must do).

This hotel is amazing. We have travelled all over the world and this hotel is one of our favorites. Clean, wonderful places to sit and relax in the lobby. The rooms are modern and very clean, beds very comfortable, shower is the best! Great water pressure with a shower head and a handheld. One can visit all the little Cala’s from here. The pool area is relaxing, staff top notch. We will be back.

Overall lovely hotel, just beware there is current loud drilling happening across the road on weekdays, throughout the day which does disturb the poolside vibe. However pool has lovely cabanas and we really enjoyed our time here at the weekend when it was quiet. Good breakfast, basic but nice rooms. Would recommend booking poolside room as other views from rooms are not fantastic. Little disappointed rooftop bar not currently open. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the Sol i Vida Hotel in the days leading up to our wedding in October 2024, and it was absolutely perfect. The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, ensuring every detail of our stay was seamless. They were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with anything we needed.||The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with simple, clean and stylish rooms and excellent amenities. The tranquil atmosphere provided the perfect setting to relax and prepare for our big day. The location was ideal, close to Porto Cristo’s charming town centre and offering easy access to stunning views and local attractions.||We can’t thank the team at Sol i Vida enough for making our pre-wedding stay so special. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service and a memorable experience. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt it necessary to write one because I'm surprised by the reviews on TA and Google. Feel free to ignore it, obviously it's just one opinion!
To sum it up briefly, while this was not a terrible experience, we had previously just spent 5 days at another 4 star hotel in Canyamel for a very similar price which was in every sense better than Sol I Vida. It is hard to think that the two hotels have the same star rating.
Here are the positives of Sol I Vida:
1. While we didn’t need to use it in the end the staff were very accommodating about a late check out and suggested we could use another hotel room to shower etc for free.
2. The cocktails were very nice, and you get a free drinks voucher for a free drink on arrival which is a nice gesture.
3. Very good location to see the caves of Drach and it is very close to the Porto cristo town.
4. While they are small, the rooms are modern, had no real issues and the shower was good.
5. The parking was very easy — on the street right out front of the hotel, plenty of space.
Here are the things we were disappointed by:
1. The food was bad, overall. We are vegetarians which was one of the main reasons we stayed here. The website talks about avocado breakfasts etc. But we didn’t see that once. The breakfast options were pretty minimal and basic. They provide eggs to order at breakfast but don't make it clear how to order them — the chef isn’t always there to ask.

This is a really nice chill hotel. Not a huge amount of rooms and adults only so you really get the chance to relax. Perfect for couples. The food and drinks available during the day while you're relaxing by the pool are reasonably priced too. If you're looking for a relaxing few days in a nice hotel in a quiet and not overcrowded resort this is the place to come.

Staff friendly & accomodating (we were delayed and arrived 3am outside of usual check in hours, with ease & no problem). The breakfast is so varied & delicious; the best selection ive had.
The hotel is pretty much opposite the Cuevas de drach (dragon caves), beautiful but you need to book in advance, you can do this online.
The tourist train stops down the road near the big mallorca jewellery store, worth exploring, especially cala mendia, stunning water but does get busy with kids.
Approx 10min walk to a wide choice of restaurants on the harbour & centre.
For awareness the way the pool is shaped & the sloping depth means you can only swim in a 1/3rd of it; so if you like to swim lengths then this pool might not be for you.

We spent two relaxing nights at Sol I Vida. The hotel was really beautiful and not crowded, perfect place for couples to spend romantic time!
We really enjoyed the breakfast with fruits, fresh juices and eggs made by order! The staff was really friendly and even left us a small surprise to our room because of special occasion! 🥰
The hotel was two minute walk from the Caves and 10 minute from the port. There is plenty of space for (free) parking next to the hotel.

Incredible hotel. Everything way beyond expectations from a warm welcome to stylish pool area with gorgeous planting, birdsong and amazingly comfy beds and loungers. Food and drinks at the pool bar/restaurant were fabulous and reasonably priced. Breakfast delicious, great local produce, great coffee and juice and eggs cooked to order. Rooms delightful and really stylishly arranged. Bed super comfy. Fresh towels and daily cleaning — spotless. Every member of the staff team is wonderful. We’ll definitely return! Thank you Emma, Victoria and the team for a wonderful stay! ❤️

Lovely hotel, great value, peaceful and romantic, a great base to explore the east side of the island. Rooms were comfy, compact and clean with great water pressure in the shower. The hotel is only 4 years old and very much boutique, the pool area is beautiful with plenty of available beds. Breakfast is pretty decent and omelets can be made to order, lots of free parking on the street outside. The port cristo is a few mins walk away and is very pretty with lovely places to eat and there are plenty of beaches and towns to explore within 30 min drive.

The owner of the hotel accommodated us in the most unbelievable manner, coming out to us at for 4am when we got stuck with our accommodation. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful with attention to detail in the decor. We would love to come back here at another opportunity.
