Review of Hotel Costa Mediterraneo 2*

My advice is simple — If you want to enjoy your holiday accommodation, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I've deliberately held off on leaving this review — because I needed to make sure I still felt the same a few months down the line. Well, I definitely do. Don't be fooled by the photos, or the nice website. Yes, it's affordable – but ask yourself why. I'm really not a fussy person, but I would literally not give these people a 1-star rating. It's actually more of a young offenders institution – not so much a holiday hotel. It's certainly not for families! To name but a few… • Staff searching my 10 year old daughter's beach bag. This apparently to make sure guests don't smuggle water in from outside. I complained, because none of the adults were around when this happened — so the manager threatened to evict us from the hotel. • The guys in the adjacent room were watching porn — so loud I thought the kids would wake up. • In another room, the people were apparently busy punching holes in their room door. • The after-hours reception person isn't one to be messed with. Found him shouting at a couple of guests … and the next thing the police arrived. • Wi-Fi — What Wi-Fi? • Tatty bed linen and towels … not to mention the mould in the bathroom. … and why on earth was there a massive ventilation hole in the shower, thus allowing us to see the hairy bald guy next door washing himself? • One of the worst things must've been the fact that the pool area had to be clear by 8pm — else there was hell to pay. More than one guest found this out the hard way. Why would they have such a rule? Don't they know people are on holiday? Don't they know people tend to stay up late. Do they really expect guests to go to bed at 8pm, in a room that's hotter than a sauna. And the list goes on… and on. I think I'll post this review on other sites also — cause they ruined a perfectly good holiday. Anyway — You've been warned ;-)
