VIVA Cala Mesquida Resort & Spa

We visited Viva Cala Mesquida as a family of 4, two kids ages 3.5 and 1. It was ideal.
The transfer is a little longer than other places but worth it. We stayed in the Shark block, the room was lovely and comfortable. Large king sized bed, travel cot for baby with comfortable clean mattress. Bedding changed upon request, bed made every day and bins cleared out. New towels every day in the bathroom. New beach towels twice a week.
There are a number of pools, even an indoor heated one for the cloudier days. Access to an adult-only spa area with sauna, steam and cold bath, pool and jacuzzi. Great for 20 mins each per parent when you get the opportunity.
We ate in 3 of the 5 restaurants, our favourite was the Italian. Lovely dishes. El Patio for lunch was run like clockwork and the staff are excellent at their jobs.
The buffet is great, fresh food, varied every day. A big shoutout to Isa who worked in the buffet, she was great with our children and very friendly and attentive.
The kids club and entertainment was brilliant, a nice variety to appeal to adults and children. It stopped at 10pm and it was all very respectable towards the young families getting children to bed.
Our room in the Shark block had a view of the stage so if our kids were tired we could sit on the balcony and have a drink while they slept, and we didn’t miss the socialising element.
In September, it’s generally German families who were great and our little boy met a friend.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location.
Upgraded to selection club on arrival, it's worth paying the extra for this so you can eat breakfast and lunch in La Tarezza.
Garden room was lovely and cleaned daily.
Stunning views but nothing else outwith if you like to go out.
Long transfer by coach, if travelling in large party would be worth a private transfer.
Kids club are excellent and kids seem to really enjoy it.
La Tarezza is the best food. Other restaurants ok but not great. Buffet is again ok although I have a fish allergy and alot wasnt labelled or labels mixed up. Could improve on that.
All in all a great holiday in a stunning location but upgrade to selection club made it!

We have just got back from Viva Cala Mesquida and had a brilliant time. Couldn't fault the hotel — very clean, friendly staff across all areas, lovely varied food, great entertainment and lots of options of things to do especially activities for children. The three a la carte restaurants were great and it was nice to have restaurant experiences within the all inclusive, with the two of them being in particularly beautiful settings. The buffet restaurant was also really nice with outdoor areas to sit in.
The beach is right next to the hotel and the sea was very wavy when we visited in September, probably due to windy weather which obviously can't be helped and isn't within the hotel's control but just to mention it did mean we couldn't swim in the sea with our young children for our whole trip, which was a shame and the only thing we were disappointed with. Just bad timing unfortunately and we did visit Cala Ratjada which was very easy on the bus and the sea seemed calmed at the beach there as the bay was smaller.

This was my second visit to the resort although my wife has visited many times. We were warmly welcomed to the hotel by Gienna who was excellent at getting us booked in and up to speed with all the resort facilities and restaurants. We stayed in a sea view apartment which was clean and spacious and afforded an excellent view of the beach. The apartment was well equipped and was well maintained by the staff throughout our stay. We used two of the resort’s restaurants, both provided excellent food and value for money. The pool area was well maintained and provided plenty of loungers. All the staff were very friendly and polite without exception. If you hire a car and drive to the resort just be mindful that the hotel has no designated parking and that whilst there are three free car parks and plenty of on street parking, the beach is so popular that finding a parking spot during the day can be challenging. We had a fabulous stay and a lovely experience and I highly recommend a visit.

We stayed in the Selection Club during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were going to the restaurant La Terrazza daily as it had the best food we tried during our stay. The food along with outstanding service from Jenny and Omar along with the rest of the team is something incredible. Going above and beyond each day. Thank you for such a pleasant and relaxing experience!

5stars to the hotel and staff. The hotel has put a great deal of thought and planning to accommodate everyone. Great place for families. Enjoyed our 5 night stay in October. The kids club was great. You can drop them off after breakfast at the mini club which is manned by a good sized staff. The kids are then brought back to the hotel just before lunch time for other different activities (like Lego, t-shirt painting, face painting, glitter tattoo, kids cocktail). You can then pick them up. After a short break they then have water games (slack line, floating mats) which are so good that even grown ups take turns to have a go. They have different activities to cater to different age groups and good few varieties of them too. Big shout out to the Kids club team, they do a fantastic job! 3 Outdoor, 1 indoor pools and fair size splash park. Food is good too. Very accommodating staff at every restaurant. Our son wanted mangoes and even though not on the menu the lady at Elpatio was kind enough to find us some. He thoroughly enjoyed them. The beach is also just a short walk from the hotel so ideal. Lovely beach with clear waters. Sea was very calm so it was nice for he kids to swim and also use their floats. It was a great experience altogether, sad to return home but will surely come back.

We have stayed 12 times at Cala Mesquida resort. Just love it! Best beach in Europe and the best staf. Especially La Terazza is amazing with execellent service 🤗

We stayed 5 days at this property. The rooms are spacious and very well maintained just like the resort in general. A beautiful beach, restaurants and buffets at the top. I do not regret the stay in any way. Everything was perfect. We will be back.

Hotel is supposedly adults only****s. Far from it.
Catalog images are incorrect. There is no sea view. Rather ground floor rooms where everyone has access from the street.
Room "Junior Suite" is old. Our whole robe is musty because of old and strong smelling closet. Sockets trap sit out on their own. Some don't even work. Furniture very outdated.
Food… a disaster. Room is audible. You hear everything. Don't understand good reviews at all. No cutlery, dirty glasses, waiters overwhelmed.
Too bad for the money. Never again. Thanks!

Everything fantastic from A to Z, beautiful location, the staff very helpful and friendly. Very well maintained facility. Leisure program for children and adults very diverse. The receptionists are true angels:-) The beach and the surroundings of the absolute hammer:-) A big compliment to the room and pool staff, thank you for the daily cleaning of the apartments and the cleaning of the pools. Kids club fantastic. They do a great job giving the kids fun activities and parents a welcome break. They know the kids names and seem to love their jobs. The hotel is clean and well run. The staff very friendly. The all inclusive option is the best l have encountered in all my years of holidaying. The cocktails, drinks etc are full strength. Ice creams — you just help yourself! Crisps are provided whenever you want them. There are a lot of steps down to the beach but by the heated outdoor pool there is a gentle slope for the less mobile. I am 73 and can manage this easily. My 8 year old granddaughter loved this holiday. There are adult only facilities plus an indoor pool for inclement weather.

Stayed 8 days at Cala Mequida Resort and loved it to bits! :-) It was a father-daughter-trip (no kids, although the place is very child-friendly). We especially loved how incredibly friendly and warm (and hard-working! ) the staff was, always greeting everyone and smiling and chatting no matter how busy they were. The location was beautitful (nature, nearby scenery, towns, the hotel itself). The room (with sea-view) was always cleaned a 100% and it was great to have a bedroom and living room incl. The big balchony. There was always a lot of food (incl. Fresh fruit and desserts) to choose among in the restaurant and All Inclusive is certainly recommendable! The weather was also really great (although it was mid-September) only the occasionally strong wind made it impossible to swim in the sea, but we would rented a car, so we could easily visit other beaches. All in all: A wonderful and unforgettable stay.

In the system of several hotels located in the town of Cala Mesquida, nature reserve, redkosovmestimye opportunities are successfully combined. Beautiful nature, clean sea, a very varied food for all tastes, some domestic restaurants hotels, if you want-great animation for adults and children. There is a convenient avtobusonoe message (or rental car), which opens up unlimited possibilities to travel around the island and its attractions. We are very thankful for a wonderful vacation.

The most fantastic was the beach and the location of the resort The apartments were clean and comfortable. All-inclusive food was average, not fantastic and not bad.

In the rooms they need a reform, bathroom, couch, painting, etc, and about the buffet, bad food, or products or the lack of professionalism. Never back in Viva.
