Canyamel Park Hotel & Spa

We are a group of golfers who have returned to this hotel for the past fourteen years. We love the friendly atmosphere, the modern beautiful bedrooms, the superb dining room, catering for all tastes, the lounge areas, outside pools and the very friendly staff, in all areas. Also it’s position, 50m from beach, and surrounded by it’s dramatic landscape. Great walking area.

The hotel was nice and quiet but there is so much room for development.
Our room was nice and big enough, cause we took the Privilege room for our honeymoon. We had an access to 2 rooftop pools which was a nice perk. Spa was okay but not functional (the jacuzzis are not working properly)
However:
The staff barely speaks English.
The cleaning was poor, even right after the cleaning, the room wasn’t smelling clean. The replaced towels were smelling awful one day, they really need to enhance their cleaning methods.
The food was really disappointing for us. Some dishes like scrambled eggs, fish, chocolate mousse etc. Were tasting like chlorine. No spanish cuisine, no regional dishes, the drinks aren’t included, you have to pay even for a water.
The plates and glasses in the dining area were not clean either. The plates were smelly, the glasses were stained.
Our room had bubble bath but there was no privacy since it was possible to see through the fences when the neighbors are on their balcony.
Finally, they didn’t have any deck chairs on the beach, could’ve been nice for a 4 superior hotel…

Lovely hotel. Rooms big and stylish, staff amazing. Only had bed and breakfast but it was gorgeous. Lovely cocktails. Lovely snack bar. Pools lovely, we spent most of our time on the roof top pool, it was amazing. Amazing little resort lots of lovely restaurants all easy walking distance, some lovely walks around the area, we never go back to the same hotel but we will definitely be returning next year.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Beautiful location, 1 minute walk from the beach. All amenities you need in the rooms. Room was thoroughly cleaned every day and fresh beach towels provided on request. Lovely selection of food at breakfast each day … the pancakes made on request were great! All staff we came across were very helpful and friendly. Pool and bar area were lovely. Would love to come back to this hotel. Cannot recommend enough.

Fantastic hotel, rooms are very modern, very well appointed, large shower area.
Bed was a little firm for my liking but that was the only slight negative. The air conditioning worked well in the room.
Food was a buffet style and generally speaking I would say that the cuisine was very European. There was lots of choice and they had a grilling / BBQ area where they did steaks and fish. At breakfast you could get fresh eggs, omelettes, scrambled egg etc. There was lots of cereals, cold meats, fruit etc.
The hotel was immaculate, very peaceful and within 3 minutes of the beach. The pool was very nice, it did get busy though with lots of sunbeds "reserved" with towels.
There are a few shops and mini-markets nearby that sold most items that you might want such as snacks, cold drinks, beer, wine, spirits etc. A pharmacy is also in the same area as the shops.
Overall a really nice hotel, good food, nice pool and great if you want to just chill out.

Contrary to the review 'not great experience ', I thought the opposite. Use of the spa was all included (so often not in many hotels). Exceptional value particularly the bar. 4.30 euros for a 50cl beer pression. Suites have separate pool area on each floor. Staff very friendly. Air con all adjustable in our room. Fantastic breakfast and dinner buffets. Adult only makes very tranquil. Still here and will be coming back.

Hotel building and cleanliness is good …. But everything is charged. Empty mini bars — you are expected to ask them to fill it? coffee machine in room but you have to pay for coffee €3 per pod!. Bottled water you pay for — Air con either not working or freezing and you cannot self adjust or turn it off. No room service — cannot call reception it doesn’t work — we took 4 rooms for our family and all were the same. Defensive staff.
You pay for slippers.
No robes.
1 towel given and if you don’t keep and hand it in to reception each day you don’t get another …
It’s a 4 star rating with Hosel mentality.
Not recommended.

A most excellent hotel with modern and spotless clean facilities. Location is fantastic as closed to the beach (without counting the fab pool) and within walking distance to some good restaurants which we tried. We stayed in a Junior Suite and enjoyed the large terrace and sunbeds. Breakfast spread is superb, we only had dinner a couple of times and it was quite fine, altho catering to Western palates (large majority of guests were German). What we truly enjoyed is the level of warm and genuine service we received throughout our stay. Thank you Cristina, Manolo, Alessandra and Gertrud (at the bar) for your superb service! Highly recommend the hotel to people who look for a stylish and serene hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The highlight was definitely the food — both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, with a great variety of fresh and well-prepared dishes.
The room was very comfortable, and the private jacuzzi on the balcony was a fantastic touch — it made our stay feel truly special and relaxing.
The spa and common areas, while clean and functional, felt a bit underwhelming and could use some upgrading or additional features to match the quality of the rest of the hotel.
Despite that, our overall experience was overwhelmingly positive. The staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was peaceful, and we left feeling well-rested and satisfied. We would happily return!

Lovely hotel in a nice quiet area, The staff were excellent throughout. The breakfast was great with a brilliant selection of food. We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel. It was a good place to stay and tour around the island.

Very nice clean and cosy place, large modern rooms, and the personnel was always helpful — mind they might speak German and not English since the clientele is mostly from Germany.
The neighborhood is mostly hotels and vacation rentals, a few restaurants and a couple of grocery stores. The area is very remote and rural (1h from Palma) very good for relaxing but not the right place if you're looking for nightlife, clubs or even just window shopping.
The only downside of my 4 days stay was at the bar. The staff is not properly trained to make cocktails (they probably serve beers and wine mostly) and on top they don't accept criticism and try to make up excuses. Here I had the worst margarita of my life: I asked to make it again (they used mint, and said it was their own concept of margarita — well your own concept recipe's twist was not mentioned in the menu, it said Canyamel Park cocktail = frozen margarita = lime, tequila, triple sec — pretty standard margarita recipe).
I didn't even finish it.

Perfect location nearby the sea (100m), nice swimming pool and very quiet. Very nice personnel! Only remarks: no parking place directly at the hotel, 2) Tennis courts is not as mentioned on their website. For tennis go to clay courts at Tennis Son Besso (20 minutes drive). Rooms with nice terras and perfect view on the swimming pool if you want. Would surely recommend this place!

Firstly the location is amazing, only 2 minute walk to the beach and we found the restaurants in Canyamel very good.
We had a junior selection club room located in the annex building. Upon arrival the room was intensely hot. It would be thoughtful of the hotel if going forward the air conditioning was put on before arrival so the room was cool for arriving guests. It didn’t really cool down on our first night and they had no fans to offer guests. After complaining the engineer was sent out the next morning which after his visit it was better but the coolest was 19c degrees which in my opinion is not really sufficient.
The room itself was lovely very spacious and clean with nice toiletries in the bathroom. I did find it a little odd that it is advertised as having tea and coffee making facilities but there were only 2 capsules provided and if you wanted more it was 3 euros (I can’t remember if this was for another 2 or 3).
The annex building is a little further than originally thought when booked. It is advertised as being across the road but is actually a 3-4min walk away. This is ok apart from when you have your luggage on first arrival. It would be helpful if the hotel could arrange for someone to help with your luggage. It was also not great on our last morning when a storm hit and we had to run in the rain to breakfast getting completely soaked!
Breakfast was good. There was always a nice selection with fresh fruit, continental and hot items.

Great service, excellent buffet with wide variety of food and good choice of drinks. Room was nice and spacious, and bed was large and comfortable. Beach is very close to the hotel. Swimming pool is also nice and surrounded by trees. Place is nice and quite for real relaxation :)

Lovely spot. Very quiet and not super touristy! However a lot of the staff approached us in German… Spanish or English is fine but it was getting very repetitive and we’re not from Germany:)
Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great.
The main minus we had was that our room was in a separate building and we had to walk for breakfast, main pool area and dinner.
Parking was difficult at times as it’s on a main road but it seemed pretty safe during the 6 days we were staying! We went during a busy period but it was possible to find at the end:)

I cant find any negative point for this hotel. Breakfast and Dinner are very rich in variety and for Buffet Dining very high quality. Staying here means being a 2 Minute walk away from the beach and depending on the room having a nice view of the ocean. The 3 outdoor pools (including 2 lesser known rooftop pools and the main Pool right next to the entrance) were always clean and well maintained during our stay. We visited during July so Main Holiday Season and still always found a nice place around the pool and for breakfast and dining. The staff is super kind and very hard working to always keep the tables clean and ready for the next quest.
Would totally recommend a stay if you find yourself looking for a clean and well organized hotel near a nice and small beach.

This hotel is great! Good service, friendly staff and the food was excellent. The staff were very attentive and acted quickly when we reported our TV was not working. Definitely recommend this hotel. The only thing that I have to say that would need looking at is creating a multi cultural environment for those who are not of German or Dutch origin. I will definitely book here again.
