Alcanada Golf Luxe

A gem of a golf course — if you can allow it (€€€), you should not miss out! Each hole has its individuality: so you live at least 18 nice surprises on your round. Greens are fast and true, the maintenance of fairways and greens is top notch. I had the luck to be part of a foursome with lovely members Britt and Heinz and their neighbor Michael plus doggy: finishing our round with a stunning dinner on the (slightly heated) terrace featuring one of the best views in Mallorca — no better way of spending a Friday in January possible.

This is a very elegant golf club that stands out as one of the most stunningly scenic spots on Mallorca. The way the mediterranean blue of the sea blends with the lush green landscape is just breathtaking… The moment you step onto the course, there’s a sense of relief that washes over you. I don’t think there’s another spot on the island quite like it.

Review of Alcanada Golf Course and its Restaurant in Mallorca.
Visit Date: May 1, 2025 / two ladies.
Verdict:
A disappointing experience.
Due to poor weather, we decided to explore some nearby golf courses, including the renowned Alcanada Golf Course, to see if we would like to spend a week there for a golf vacation in the summer. Visually, both the facility and the restaurant made a good first impression. However, the atmosphere soured when we requested a minor change on the menu. The waiter responded unexpectedly loudly and condescendingly, leading to public embarrassment – absolutely unacceptable and embarrassing. Although the food itself was satisfactory, the incident left a bitter taste in our mouths. Given this, we will avoid this place.
Where is the promised excellence of this golf course?
The way staff here treats guests does not meet the expected level. It is imperative that the management addresses this misconduct and ensures proper training.
Under these circumstances, the golf course's restaurant is not recommended!

The best golf course in Mallorca! Slightly expensive but its a must place to play if you travel in Mallorca. Great personnel, very friendly, the course is extremely well maintained, very fast greens. The pro shop had great things to buy and memorabilia from the course. On top of everything is the restaurant with breathtaking view and great food to relax after the round.
Two things you should pay attention to. Bring some balls and tees if you rent clubs there. They give you only one tee and three balls. So you need to buy from the pro-shop. In the front nine holes you can loose balls easy.

What, a fabulous course. Set in the North of Mallorca right by the sea. The course is a real challenge for any class of golfer, maybe too tough for many. The course is extremely well laid out and makes maximum use of the natural undulations. The fairways are generous but require care in positional play, with many bunkers and trees positioned to catch any misplaced shots. The sand in the bunkers was excellent though and allowed for recovery, which I was grateful for on a couple of occasions. The greens whilst a good size had plenty of undulations making reading them a challenge, and the pace was fast. The reception facilities and hospitality were all excellent. I look forward to playing again in January.

The course is outstanding and is one of the best I played in 30 years of golfing. We played it Oct 5th and the course was getting ready to host the final Challenge tour event before they head to Asia so the greens were in perfect condition. Anyone going to Mallorca has to put this one on there list to play.

Great club. Players played for the Tallon trophy here in 2024.
A great day and a great result.
Food and restaurant staff are excellent.
