We were there in July 2018. There is nothing wrong with the bungalow, everything is perfectly remade, generous space. Pools we can not judge, as we are at the about 1km. Distant little beach. The staff was always nice and accommodating. Half of the bungalows have just been rebuilt and we have hardly noticed anything about the construction site. There are two water parks nearby. All in all, we had a nice holiday.

Great time and friendly staff. Amazing entertainments and very nice kids games everyday. Very recommended for families!

My 6 year old son is autistic and he seems really relaxed and confident at this hotel. We have been here twice now and will definitely return.

Of course I read the reviews before leaving and I must say that we were pleasantly surprised.
Obviously, not everyone is objective and the value for money is very good. This hotel is very good, the staff friendly, attentive and made the effort to speak French. A small problem of the smell of tobacco, quickly taken into consideration. The only horrible thing about this establishment are the eternal few dissatisfied who quickly forget that they have not booked a palace. The restaurant varied and very good qualities. Certainly it is a bit dated but works are underway. I find the negative comments unjustified sincerely. We had a nice stay, thank you to your whole team.

Nice resort with many option to enjoy in the island. The rooms are clean and the food fine, with many options to choose. The poolbar is our best zone with the sun and the drinks during the day and disco in the evenings. Our kids enjoyed the minbidisco everyday and the shows with the entertainment team, they are amazing with the kids, so thank you so much guys… the water is cold now but you can going around the island with many many intertesting things to do. Great holidays, will come back!

Nice hotel with apartments in white maisonettes typical of the island. Beautiful treed and flowered walkways contrast with the rest of the rather desert island.
The buffets are very varied with themes that change every night.
Two large terraced pools.
The location is nice because quite close to the city center, while being at the foot of a volcano.

We loved it! Definitely repeat! We are a young couple and we stayed for a week and we had a great fun the unbeatable animation, expect them dances etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 'll!

Good value for this hotel. Good stance with my parents and many facilities form the staff with big and clean rooms, and plenty of food in restaurant. Thanks a lot to the entertainment team in special to Miriam for helping us all the time and make our nights full of fun! Very recommended.

To avoid! The stay was going pretty well until we were robbed of our stuff in our room. The chamber drawers have been searched. We made a complaint at the front desk which was very unpleasant. The food is not varied at all. The choice of breakfast is limited.

A very quiet hotel. The rooms are perfectly placed so you don't bother anyone and don't listen to the noises of the pool, the restaurant and so on. Very good to go with family.

Inexpensive holiday. In the years but very nice and accommodating.

The first impression is quite good. The staff is friendly and the grounds are very nice. The all inclusive package could be improved in my opinion, e. G. I suspected the WLAN as an all inclusive service, but still we are here for a few days and perhaps the opinion is still changing:)

Very nice family time in Rio Playa Blanca. The service is fine and the restaurant is big with a good selection. The pool is cold now so we didn´t enjoy to much in the water, but there is a great entertainment team playing games and activities during all day. I spent with my boyfriend a week in the hotel for Valentine's day, and was amazing! Food was really good and plenty of choices. Our room was lovely a really clean. Staff was amazing, from reception to animation. We enjoyed the dance show, Miriam was amazing and made us enjoy, the decoration for Valentine's day was really nice. We spent an amazing holidays here, and we looking forward to back on Summer.

I was with my partner at this hotel and we have enjoyed it very much. Good food, good treatment and especially very good animation, be delighted.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in february. We were a little unlucky with the weather, but the entertainment staff did their best to get the most out of our holidays and our children had a blast! The rooms are dated, but we didn't spend a lot of time there so it was not a big deal. The food was nice and we had plenty of choices. All of the hotel staff is really nice and helpfull, so we will definently come back.

The staff is friendly and the hotel is located in a quiet location. On the other hand the hotel is aging whether it is the bungalows or the facilities for the activities. The food is not varied at all, it is always the same thing. It takes at least 20 minutes to walk at a good pace to get close to the shops.

Friendly and efficient staff. Spacious and clean Bungalows. Very good nightly animations. Quiet place. Under my point of view missing details for a four stars, garden upgradable, esteriores, non-skid floors, lack of heated pool.

The team is sometimes great. Especially coco the food iste well the director Iste Noche good. The rooms are serh coarse, the gardens sin serh Beautiful. In the final we have a lot of pleasure. Of course we will return.

Well below ave. Food bad, staff not in the least bit friendly and rooms in a very poor state of repair. Wld not recommend.

We were there in August 2017 and do not regret it. We liked the large pool, the food (also theme nights) and the daily animation. The location is top (5 min. To the beach, bus stop on the doorstep. ) The bungalows are nice size but could get some new furnishings. The English are clearly in the outmost. We also experienced the fight for the couches. Unfortunately, this is almost everywhere. All in all we can recommend the house for Families. The price also fit for us to the hotel.

I am currently staying in this hotel. And every day the que at the pool bar is 10 deep for the 8 hrs it is open. The food is repetitive but wonderful if you like beef stew. The facility is tired and most of the equipment is breaking down. The pool is freezing. By mainly the place is seriously understaffed with people leaving at 6pm and starting again at 6am. Not the best!

Was a lovely place and lovely staff. An amazing holiday was had by all. The pool was a good size and the night time entertainment was good.

Amazing. It takes 30 seconds to get to the beach I mean this is on a different level to Dubai with their fancy places this is so so much better. It's clean the food is scrumptious the people that chant in the pool is brilliant and the water is like 35 degrees hot. Amazing!

A very good hotel with a great bungalow, a large pool, a very full buffet, free drinks all day, the employees very nice and friendly, we left the hotel very happy, I hope to return next year.

Don't go. Christian at reception made faces at me when I complained that I had went to lunch and someone threw my towels and bag on the ground. Possibly if this place had enough beds at the pool this wouldn't happen. And incidentally I only went for lunch as I was so hungry the food is disgusting I eat bread and butter. When you see a cockroach at the fresh fruit does not instill confidence. When I told Christian I wanted to complain his answer was a loud laugh. His colleagues also found that hilarious. Who the hell is running this horrible disgusting hotel.

Very good food Überragends climate nice warm but not too warm nice people nice facility but unfortunately very old.

The hotel is very good, close to the beach, just ten minutes walk. We have just arrived, we have been now in September from 16 to 23 of 2017. The food very nice Buffet and they are bungalows. Beautiful gardens, the only drawback that I put esque you need a reform in the furniture is very old and the baths remove the tubs are very spoiled. The waiters and staff both recession as well as cleaners, waiters, etc, phenomenal. And above all thank a Sevillian Ivan Puerta who was in the dining room, super attentive and polite and good worker. And also thank the waiter at the pool bar which is called Pedro has been great. I recommend it to go. It's super quiet and nice. I'll come back and visit you.

Stay of the month of June, bungalow very nice even if the dilapidated is there! The food was very nice Bungalow Loan (shower) for late check-out.

Nice little resort, no too far from the beach (10 minute walk to playa flamingo) and close enough to playa blanca marina to walk for dinner. The shop on site is very good, well stocked and the lady there is extordonary, very knowledgeable and willing to talk and share the best places to go to snorkel and eat. Very family friendly with a great kinds club and the onsite entertainment really engages the kids.

Bungalows were good and set in beautiful landscape, but beds weren't comfortable. Food was good, but not much variety on pudding. Animation team were excellent, and if you tried to get involved and have a go they really embraced you. Many thanks again to Tomas, Johanka, and Fanni for making us feel so welcome and make our holiday special.

The bungalow was huge the grounds were great the food was fabulous the only downside was parents letting their kids use the bar as a football pitch when you have brought your own up to respect right from wrong who wants that every night.

Excellent Hotel… well located… close to the shops and the beach… buses nearby for Paddlo. Very nice stroll along the dike… resto Bars Nearby!

Have been here 3 times now, food is always good staff are very friendly and helpful. The entertainment isn't as good as it was a few years ago, and now if you don't get up and put your towels out by 6.30am you'll be lucky to get a sunbed, rather annoying as some don't use them till the afternoon. Apartments are cleaned 6 days a week, basic inside but nice enough. Can get very busy and loud during school holidays so avoid these times if you want peace and quiet. Beach, shops and bars 10 minutes walk, have enjoyed all 3 stays here.

Great pool. Nice and chilled hotel which is great for families. Food was always fresh. Bungalows were spacious and cool. Staff were great and always helpful.

Superb stay of a week, the facilities suffer nevertheless from a certain dilapidated, the staff is friendly, side restoration is always a bit the same thing from one day on the other…

Great stay, we left as a couple, very friendly staff as much the bartender as the cooks and housekeepers except the last day the person at the reception a lady who was not very friendly but hey it was the last day… Otherwise spacious clean bungalows. Hotel 10 min walk from Flamingo Beach, 25/30 min walk to the Dorada beach and tourist shops. The all exclusive nickel hotel very well organized for everything. Some people in the staff manage French very well. Beautiful scenery. I would recommend this hotel.

We had a nice stay! Spacious room with terrace in a beautiful garden of cactus and palm trees in quiet! Rich and varied meals! Everything was nice clean staff! We will come back with family fun.

Half board possible. Meals fairly basic but in relation to the price. Breakfast sugar and dirty full good level.

The staff were kind and were friendly. The reps that provided the entertainment were enthusiastic and always getting people involved. The rooms were spacious and cleaned everyday.

The investment comes as described by naderen in years. Plaster falls from the walls, shower trays are black, where the water is always running. The sofa bed is not recommended, because the mattress is very soft for adults. Only 1 night table lamp and other light switch only at the door. The food was good, but no longer. If you come later are partially cold (Calamarie) tough such as rubber, etc. For vegetarians always the same variety of fish. The coffee/cocoa did not always work and the juices are unfortunately not fresh, but all watery and sweetened from a vending machine. Often there were no cups. If they say nothing, nothing is noticed. The tables outside are very slowly cleared after breakfast and thus pigeons and birds attract who then settle to their food on the table, by the staff but not noticed. The staff is very friendly and nothing but more trying. What good I liked, was the offer of the animation. Good selection, friendly and funny. Wi-Fi should work also in the Bungaloes and didn't do it but unfortunately it could log only 1 person.

Returned on the 15th of September after a week stay what an amazing place food plenty 9f choice and very tasty. Rooms a bit dated but spotless. Pool very clean and relaxing. The animation was outstanding would definitely return.

Formerly RIU, hotel RIO (marketing trick? ) has replaced the U of RIU by 0 zero!
The positives: Bungalows and terrace sufficiently spacious, staff friendly.
The negatives:
1 cleanliness: Restaurant extremely dirty! The placemats were barely siphoned, the tables were sticky and full of stains (cola, wine, foods, …). Chairs for children disgusting, sticky and full of food residue. The same dishes (dishes, glasses, cutlery, …) sales. We had to take 4 or 5 plates before you have one that seemed clean (traces of egg, rice stick, …).
2 location: Announced at 300 m from the beach, it is actually almost a 10-minute walk.
3 food: Very little varied, always the same breakfast. The "snack" opened in the afternoon is nothing more than a refrigerator about 1 m with a few slices of bread/cheese/charcuterie + 3 taste of ice cream.
4. The Web site of the TO Announces "you can visit with the kids at the water park of the hotel from the same chain HL Paradise Island" Yes but paying 85 euros entry by bungalow!
5 pool: Extremely cold water. Almost person in the water…
This hotel deserves absolutely not 4 stars.
We are strongly disappointed with our stay there, never.

Old hotel, room uncomfortable, barely lit common areas. And the worst d all the quality of the. Drinks in the regime T. I. Lamentable. We will not return.

My wife and I all inclusive over Christmas was very good location a week 2011 hotel and very clean, staff very good, very good, beyond food especially Christmas anticipation! Evening entertainment was bad for us.

Old rooms and bed uncomfortable.

Rooms type bungalow, spacious, comfortable and clean. Great feeling of freedom and independence. The environment landscaped with many Palm trees. Very clorrecto buffet restaurant. The staff very friendly. Ideal for children and oara a relaxed stay.
