Good material and Mariano the teacher super attentive and with a lot of patience. You can tell they have a lot of experience and everything very easy with all the kids in school. We've learned a lot with them. Lots of desire to come back!

I cannot say enough of good word about the Red Star surfing camp. I was there for the second time. Famara is a very cozy village with good people living there and tasty food. The camping apartments are clean and cosy. The Red Star team is amazing, always helpful and involved. Thank you Red Star for this wonderful experience. My heart is with you. I’m already planning my next trip. ️

Great surf school. Went for a full day lessons with my kids (7 and 9). Instructors where fantastic with with the kids and they loved it. (And slept well afterwards).
Great set up and would thoroughly recommend them.

Went to Red Star Surf 2 years in a row. Be careful and take pics of boards you rent from them. They try and bill you for damage you never made to the boards in order to fix pre damaged boards. It is a scam they run to get costs paid by dumb tourists who have little to no surf experience. I rented a board and never surfed with it because I used a friends board all week instead, the board was in the apt all week untouched… Mike tried to get me to pay for dings on the board that he said was never there before. 45 euro worth. Was the same story the year prior. The girl in the shop next door said it is what they do to cover costs… so beware and take pics. Of your board in the shop before leaving. Funny, they think I am next door competitor. They must be having more problems than I thought…

I had a great few days staying with Red Star Surf accommodation and surfing. Super thanks to Mariano! He was an excellent instructor, friendly, fun and I learnt a lot in my short time there. Thanks again to the whole team, see you next time.

The Red Star Surf school in Lanzarote is realy nice. If you wana learn surfing, perfectionating your surf strategy or just getting a better surfer than the Red Star Surf school would be perfect for you. The Surf Guides are all realy nice but my favorite Surf Guide was Mariano a realy good teacher and surfer. Cool is that when you surfed 5 days with Red Star surfing you get a free realy nice shirt.

Really good surf centre with always positive and professional instructors. Just the best in Famara. Special thanks for yoga classes — it was really relaxing. Hope will come again.

1. I had private surf lessons here, and it was great: * the instructor, Javier, taught us how to catch green waves * he took us to the appropriate place for us depending on the daily weather * he gave me tips to correct my pose * he corrected some of our mistakes * he taught us how to stand up quicker + he taught us misc things. 2. When I was renting surfboards from here, the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Spent 3 weeks in Winter 2012 at the Red Star Surf Hostel. Came with two own boards and just wanted to relax and explore Lanzarote by myself. However, after two days I fall in love the Andrey and Gerry… and the spot. Nice guys, very supportive, honest and straight even invited to join private surf and bar trip. Absolutely recommendable. This was really a great day for the family. It was huge fun for everyone. The surf teachers were very nice, patient and could handle the kids super. You can really do that without any prior knowledge.

Great place. Professional and friendly instructors, willing to help stuff and everyday waves. We spent 7 surf days with instructor Mariano and it was really excellent. Highly recommended.

Stunning location. Quiet little town but exactly what I was after. Very friendly and helpful staff and surf instructors. Famara seaview room 100% worth the extra. Recommending to everyone and I'll be back.

I was in Lanzarote 5 days on vacation to start surfing.
Arrived at La Caleta di Famara I met Mariano and Gilmar who take the surf course at the Red Star surf and yoga camp.
Beyond the human sympathy of these guys I learned in just three days to get up on the table, stay standing and I learned to turn on the wave.
They asked me €50 a day, excluding the first (€55) to make theory and practice from the 10.30 to 14.30 with lunch included means 12, €50 per hour!
Friendly, professional and welcoming, I recommend them.

Best surf camp in lanzarote!

Went surfing for the first time in my early 40's. Was the most amazing experience with really good instructors. Going back again…

Not recommended, they gave us the table with the broken keel and not an apology. That is, if the return it told us that the Spanish are very ill-educated for having left the table with a bit of earth. In order to… Comment that indicates the kindness of the character in question. That's why I recommend to rent the surf equipment in another school around.
