We visited the Gloria Palace for the first time. Overall we were very happy with our stay. There were only a few criticisms that really only concern the reception. The hotel itself makes a neat impression. The guests mostly came from England. At our time, many pensioners and families with children who are still not school-age.
The view was a dream, but had the disadvantage of being on top of a mountain. The beach is a short walk away. Luckily we had a rental car and were able to visit different places. Puerto Rico did not like us, but the beach of Amadores.
Also from our room we had a fantastic view. It was very quiet, they only heard the street, but it was. Safe cost extra. The shower was in the bathtub and you could not adjust the shower head, a bit annoying.
The service would have given the full score, but unfortunately there was no luggage carrier on our arrival. Ok not bad, worse was the check in at Veronika from the Czech Republic. Unfortunately very impersonal and our rooms were not ready yet. We should be called when you're done. But no one reported until 16:00 pm and we asked and we were just told: Forget. OK the first impression so unfortunately not positive. This changed the week, however, as the service staff in the restaurant, pool and bar were extremely friendly and polite. From the guest service we were also called once and asked if we are satisfied. This was us, but I said it went wrong when I checked in. At the check out we had the "luck" again to land with Veronika from the Czech Republic. Honestly, we fly 2-3 times a year. We've never had such an unfriendly check out. I don't know if she got in trouble, because of the check in. But she has no (! ) Word to us said. The bill was put to us and done. No good that you were there, as was the holiday, good journey home, beautiful Christmas. Nothing not a word. We said goodbye, and then it was also goodbye.
Thus, in summary, the service remains good but the check in and check out absolute grits.

The beverage prices are in the frame. The cocktails at the bars could still tolerate a little more alcohol. But that's also taste thing.
