Very helpful staff, very easy to find places to visit.

Absolute must stay hotel if you are visiting Santiago De Compostela — friendly staff, amazing rooms, great breakfast, books and art. Right on the edge of the Old Town so an easy walk to all the sights. We’ll be back!

Very well placed hotel (6 min from the cathedral, on the edge of the Old Town). The style and decoration are successful and tasteful, which is an important point. The hotel itself is very quiet and the breakfast is good. The staff are young and friendly. The only flaw is that the paved street makes the traffic, fortunately not very dense, is a bit noisy. Our opinion is that the conditions of a successful stay are met. We liked it. Claude and Marie.

Hello friends travelers, following TA we opted for this hotel and we were happy with it.
We booked two standard rooms (as the superiors have attics) and at our arrive at 2pm they were ready: they were close as requested and were equipped with every comfort, the only drawback was that they were really small and in two you were just getting Right, considering the suitcases.
The breakfast (payable apart at the cost of 8. €5) was spectacular, I think the best made on this trip to Spain: not buffet, but served, we opted for a "mixed" for 3 people and we were brought everything from jamon to the cake of Santiago, toast, cappuccino, fresh juices of orange etc etc.
The property is really convenient in the center, the downside is that it does not have parking spaces bookable in advance but only a convention with a public car park nearby; The drawback is that if you arrive in a period of high turnout you risk not to find a place and have to turn a lot…
Also recommended for good value for money.

Hotel is just steps from city center with excellent late night eateries next door and up the block just in case you get back from touring at midnight as we did. Friendly, helpful staff, and great breakfast for 8.5 euros. Small but nice room. City center is very loud at night so better to be just outside it here.

Comfortable and clean rooms with excellent service. We arrived relatively late at 11pm and can to leave around 4am to catch a flight. The front desk clerk, Teresa, went far and beyond accommodating us on such short notice and helping us book a taxi. She even work up early to make sure our taxi would arrive. Located on a quaint street. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful experience with Hotel Altair. When we reached out to them about a room for our family of two adults/two kids, they told us the same thing most hotels did: we needed two rooms. But they had another (much better) option for us too: they own a small flat next door to the hotel with a full size pull out bed in the living room and a small kitchenette. It was lovely and clean and perfect for us. We could walk to everything easily, and it was so nice to deal with the people at the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel (and the apartment) for anyone visiting Santiago.

Is all shale, the reception, the rooms, the building, all is with a like shale and in its site accurate. No comment, visit it.

It is an impressive hotel… located in the historic centre of wood and stone.
Quiet, cozy, with excellent air conditioning.
The bed is firm, with sheets and pillows chosen wisely.
The staff is friendly, easy relationship and reliable in its recommendations.
I live in Mallorca, for various reasons (personal and professional) have visited hundreds of hotels and I can say that this hotel is the best five that I know.

The hotel is located in the historical centre of Santiago de Compostela, in a perfect location close to city sights but in a quiet street. It's a completely remodelled old building with an amazing decoration. Our room was in the attic, it was a spacious one with lovely sloping ceilings made of wood, and we spent a wonderful weekend visiting the city and the best non-touristic restaurants, with wise advice from the staff. Not only the hotel is physically amazing, but the personnel are super helpful, and they truly want to make your stay as better as possible. One of the best hotels I’ve ever been.

Dependencies hall, dining room and access, already initially constitute a warm welcome by his height of ceilings, edificativa decoration with stone wood and a very consistent and consonant furniture.
Rooms, similar materials, provide an enjoyable stay by having all the necessary elements, harmonics detallismos and a refined visual appearance.
With regard to personal care, it is fair to say the delicate and professional dedication to its customers.
We stayed frequently and at each time, we have a friendly and at the same time nostalgic memory.
Its location in the historic centre and the city centre, provides the convenience of having everything by hand, as well as its subsidiaries Hotel Costa Vella and Hotel Moure, of perecidas features.
They deserve good future business. Go there, will be delighted.

Couple with older children, we were in July 2009. For all, it was a hotel with exquisite treatment of the staff, excellent location. Excellent breakfast. And to say the room where is agreed the ancient with the modern. They gave us two rooms adjoining and separated from the rest by a door which towards more easy family coexistence. Our congratulations.

We had a most wonderful stay in Altair Hotel. The location was perfect, very close to the Basilica yet far enough from the crowd. Rooms were not big but roomy enough and very modern and immaculately clean. Hotel staff were very helpful and attentive to our every need. I would definitely stay in this hotel the next time I visit Santiago and I highly recommend it.
