Great hotel. Food really nice lots of choice. About 10 minutes walk from portaventura theme park. Beach is about 20 minutes walk away. Rooms clean and very nicely decorated.

Wonderful hotel and staff. Had wonderful 7 day stay there. Food was lovely and varied daily and staff always friendly and so kind to our kids. Very clean and rooms were lovely and air conditioned. Made our holiday all the more enjoyable. Thank you.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of May. The location of the hotel is very convenient. By the way, at the reception you can buy tickets cheaper than in the ticket office of the park, the same price as in the Internet. The hotel consists of two buildings. We lived on the right side. Spacious room, large comfortable bed, armchair. Stable Wi-Fi. The room was facing the pool, the stage was right under our balcony, but no activities on it were conducted, so it was quiet. A variety of breakfasts and dinners, a large selection of dishes, mostly meat, there is always ice cream and desserts. Drinks on dinner are paid (on a choice of water, wine, soda, etc. ). Coca Cola in a glass bottle costs 2, 40. Drinks are free at breakfast, but it is better to take tea, coffee or milk, because "juices" from a vending machine is impossible to drink. The dishes are clean.
There is a luggage storage room (free of charge).

Close to the park and the city center, this is a nice hotel with a very friendly staff.
But, view the room, it doesn't really deserve its 4 stars. It is very rudimentary, it lacks a lot of things: the toilet brush, everything needed in a hotel (the samples in the bathroom, a kettle, mugs with cafe etc).
Water pays for service (? ) while it is drinking everywhere… As for the buffet it passes but too greasy (even for me who loves the fat), my quality misses a bit.
Our room was not clean when we arrived (eg: a hair in the toilet while it was sealed with a paper saying it was sanitized).
I think we can find something better around here.

Just returned 1week ago and I have to say although we (me and husband) had a good holiday we were disappointed with this hotel, food was terrible poor selection and under cooked felt like a canteen not a dining room at all plastic chairs. Rooms were a good size and cleaned every day, some staff were rude and unpleasant at times at reception and very under staffed in canteen for a 4 star would have liked to have been shown to a table and order drinks. On a plus enjoyed the Tavern for drinks and friendly staff and good Sangria. Spa not the best have to pay extra for use of sauna and €3 for a bathing cap just to use jacuzzi and the gym not up to much. Overall nice hotel for a base. Would not recommend.

Here buffet like in a five star hotel rooms are big enough family you can come.

Uncomfortable beds, lots of noise in the rooms due to poor insulation (same quiet side), breakfast ' OK no more. Secure parking fee (10 €/night) but there are a lot of free places in front of the hotel.

Hotel & Food critic from ireland. ::: Stayed in this hotel for the past 3 years with the family. We are here now while writing this review room 220 haha. Great place so close to everywhere and food is excellent. Disco and shows etc things to do with 2 kids in the evenings even in May. Hotel staff very friendly. Rooms are clean tidy and relaxing with small fridge. Bathrooms well equipped including hairdryer. The inside and outdoor pool are clean tidy relaxing pleanty of chairs and seating outisde at pool side bar/restaurant. The gym downstairs and spa (prices are reasonable) & pool we have also visited and again friendly staff plenty of towels and heated Jacuzzi x 2. Sauna and steam room. My wife likes getting the spa treatments. The kids have a small games room, pool table and extra bar areas inside. The closeness of the theme parks within Walking distance helps with this hotel.

We had a good stay the kitchen is good the rooms are very clean the shops and the beach are close 15 mins walk about a bizarre custom in Spain there is no brush in the WC c is embarrassing as well for his spouse as for the Lady of m enage.

I arrived today at 13h26 with my wife to Sol Costa Dorada we were welcomed and they all explained how it takes place. The evening meal very hearty and not too far from the Center very beautiful and not too far from the Park.

The hotel is perfect for those who want to visit Salou and/or Port Aventura, as it is barely 10 minutes from both sites.
The rooms are well-maintained and equipped (TV and small fridge included). The bathrooms are also equipped with soaps and other toiletries.
The buffet is complete and varied. Important to heed the recommendations of schedules as there are certain hours when you fill and form queues.
The staff is friendly and attentive from the entrance to the exit.
I do not give the five stars for the following: The Wi-Fi did not work well and did not enter the drinks in the buffet (not even the water)

The rooms are very uncomfortable for family group, XQ are very small uncomfortable and crowded. The food is loose as it is firm. The rest of the facilities very well.

Nice hotel. Food is ok for half board. Went in October. Outdoor pool was freezing but could use indoor pool as long as a swimming cap is worn. Excellent location for Port Adventura theme park.

Good family hotel very close to Port Adventure. Food excellent.

Dirty rooms. Very noisy. Beds are like camping beds. Dining is like in a canteen with waiting time. Buffet is only minimum standard. Buses full of old people. Spa is ridiculous. No priority for Port Aventura park like mentioned on web page.

My stay was amazing. The staff were friendly and forgiving for my lack of Spanish and felt as they went that extra mile for you. The food was great and the bar and other facilities were amazing. The only down fall was that when we arrived the pool wasn't cleaned or anything but given the time or year (we went in April) we could understand it was a bit out of season. They did however get it cleaned the next day.

The truth I liked very much this right next to portaventura. And the buffet food perfect.

Been going here now for the last 4 years, very helpful staff and very friendly, food is very good but it turns more continental towards September, beach is only a 15 min walk away and all the theme parks are only a bus away, recommend this place for families or couples.

The free Buffe breakfast one of the most complete I have ever seen. Although too much fried and greasy food (lots of chistorra, bacon, fried eggs, chorizo).
Zone of juices, milk and coffee, although of machine.
The bed was very comfortable. And all very clean.
Depends on the side that touches you you have stunning views of Ferrari Land.

Visited here September and I'd say it's closer to a 3 star than 4. First the positives, the rooms are clean and of a decent size. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the beach and front. Port aventura is about a 15 minute walk. We only ate breakfast in the hotel and it was okay, nothing special though. Now for the negatives, the entertainment in the evening is extremely loud. If you have children, or like to go to sleep before midnight then make sure you request a room on the quiet (er) side of the hotel and bring earplugs! The plug sockets in the room stop working intermittently. We had three rooms in our group and each one experienced the same problems. The swimming pool is abnormally cold. Hardly anybody used it. I'd definitely go back to salou, but I'd stay elsewhere.

Very good hotel, which remains pleasant despite its large capacity. The reception is perfect. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The Wi-Fi works pretty well.
The restaurant is varied, good, served in the form of a buffet.
It offers an outdoor and indoor pool, a hammam, a sauna.

OCT 2016 hotel ideal to access Port Aventura from the hotels outside the hotel, this is the closest to the park. Service and cleanliness Well, buffet type cuisine, although a bit repetitive. Ideal for dinner something after the walks in the park useful.

Good location Rooms are good The meals are OK with a large buffet. But especially the staff is charming, smiling, competent, always at the service of the guests, a real pleasure.

For families with children.
The hotel "fulfils its function" If you go to Port Aventura, it is very well located for it; But as "Meliá", it doesn't live up to the rest. We understand that an establishment planned to have many families with children next to an amusement park is not like the Meliá Princesa de Madrid-our favorite-but that is not why we have to neglect the maintenance. The riots produced by the children can be understandable but that of the heating or ventilation apparatus, next to the train's passage, reduce the rest.
The views, the indoor area (swimming pool, bar, scenery. ), the spaciousness of the rooms, or the attention of the staff are positive aspects that we observe.
We will return to Meliá Costa Daurada when we come back to Port Aventura, wishing to see some improvement.

The rooms is a normal room of hotel, the bar is very good with two billar, the service is very very good, the buffet is very good but a lot of people.

Very good location to get close to PortAventura. Food in a varied and relatively good buffet. The room was very clean. In 4 days the room was not swept, practically the bathroom was not cleaned and the sheets were not changed despite being dirty. Long lines to go to the dining room and do not pick up dirty dishes while you eat acumulandose at the tables. Good deal of staff. The best a waiter in the English pub.

We stayed one night and had a perfect day, all night trincandome my wife.
Hot water baths and non-smoking rooms that we found a shame but all very nice and the bed very comfortable.

Excellent location to go to Port Aventura, perfect service, spacious and clean rooms and varied buffet.

The rooms are not soundproofed. You hear all the noise from the hallway and from the other rooms. The bed is comfortable. The buffet is fine. The staff of the dining room are very attentive and friendly.
I think the 4th star dropped a long time ago.

Port Aventura's partner Hotel. Very near and good location to go to the park. Very own for families and people who want to go to the park. A little old-fashioned. Rooms need updating. Normal services of a beach hotel. Dining-room, pulling towards normal low.

I was dissatisfied, the breakfast was awful. The worst quality of products ever. The juices were so artificial, and the eggs use for the omelette are horrible. I didn't like that the pool was only open from 4pm til 8pm. I didn't get to use it during my one night stay. The room was okay. But I could not sleep properly, the neighbors were loud and the walls are thin, I could here every single word. On the positive side, I parked for free right outside the hotel, and the hotel is super close to Ferrari Land.

This is a very nice place to stay. No dance animation during the whole stay. Is given to the English. Only the girl who serves the cafes at midday is really very friendly. There are a lot of staff for cleaning the lobby. I will not come back to this hotel where we were a group of 40 people and I would not recommend it.

On the other hand in the middle of the season pay attention to the orientation of the room, as there are many balconies that give just above the stage of the show.

Family orienated. Plenty of activities for the everyone including the kids. Hotel fantastic service for Gluten free individuals. Love it.

Outstanding. Stayed here for a week to be near portaventura parks and throughly enjoyed it. I came here with jet2holidays as a package. Excellent standards, bang on time and coach arrived directly to the door of the hotel. Beautiful hotel, pool and general gardens are outstanding. Breakfasts and meal times here are lovely and cater for all food tastes with plenty of selection. Bar staff outside are lovey. One in particular stood out a mile for being friendly, 'sergi' was extremely friendly and was very happy to help. The hotel bedrooms where provided with a fridge, large bathroom and a balcony over looking the pool. Overall hygiene of the hotel is very high. Pool is cleaned and hosed down every morning before the pool is opened to hotel residents. Staff extremely friendly and very wiling to help with any inquiries. Not to mention the jet2holidays rep, couldn't have been any nicer, very pleasant to talk to. Organised our trips to Barcelona and to the parks within 10 minuets. My rep 'Vanessa' was lovely and very understanding to our needs and helped us to arrange our day. Phoned the theme park with our inquiry and got back to me immediately. She even put a post card through my hotel room door wishing us a good holiday and hoping our day went ok. If anything I would encourage anyone looking for a smooth, helpful stay in salou, to book this hotel with jet2holidays. I will most certainly be staying at this hotel again. Nice site, intended for an audience very familiar. It has an indoor pool and two small jacuzzis. You need cap for the indoor swimming pools. The food is buffet, not bad. The simple rooms. Everything clean, friendly staff, correct.

If I could make this hotel any better than I think that I would make the evening dinner drinks for free but all in all it is a very good hotel and that's why I think it's worth it's 4star rating. Thank you for reading my opinion.

The sol Costra Durada is a great friendly hotel with fantastic staff and lovely food It is well situated for the theme park the water park and the shops bars and restaurants will definitely be gong back for another visit xxx.

We only had one overnight stay at this hotel. I noticed that the décor was simple and solid, the room and toilet were clean. Price performance ratio is right. The staff was friendly also at 3:30 am.

The hotel is good in general. Rooms are clean and spacious, but somewhat noisy. The buffet is OK quality and quantity, in addition is cozy.

Very disappointed, yet the home very well. All comes down to money we sell you on the site a sona a jaccuzi haman, understood only the jaccuzzi is understood but has provided buy the CAP. The food is overpriced for the quality, nothing is good. Everything is extra the small piece of bread, water… The worst is still the bar after 10 min and 5 Spanish passing advantage us. When one addresses a server, pull us the card from the hand and we tip alcohol the more expensive without 1 words… after being left without nothing consomé wanted you to rabatre on the games room which must date from 1970 at crazy prices. I was going to wait to finish my stay to do the review but I couldn't help it, that yes, I could avoid it coming to this hotel and unfortunately it did not. Had reservation 3 months in advance and have given me the worst room possible, in a plant full of children of a Foundation of the egyptian football which they don't rest anyone, the balcony right above the stage as if he had a vip pass to the show… And to top it off the TOILET I was stuck. Called "spa" to a pond with 2 jacuzzis, disappointing. The food is normal and the service the same, the only good thing of the hotel is the proximity to Port Aventura and walking you arrive in 10 minutes. Idk who to be purchased to have 4 stars, but do not deserve. By the way now that I have left the hotel just remembered that the closet door was broken, the drink for the dinner you had to pay for it even with the half board and if you want to play ping pong you have to drop £ 10 deposit! Went on a school football camp and stayed here for 3/4 days. Great pool for cooling down after training and diving in the deep end, good healthy food with a different style everyday nice rooms with comfy beds.

Disappointing. You're going to a Melià thinking of a good quality and you find a hotel outdated and tacky. A long time ago that he should have been updated. I loved, adequate room and comfortable, the bathroom with dispenser gel, perfect, none of the canisters or coming to wash your foot, large swimming pool with bar, table billiards, pin pon, sauna, massages, heated pisci, bikes, paying some things. It's funnier. 15 minutes walk from port aventura and across the beach and jobs. Perfect for a little walk. Parking around without blue zone and the best download suitcases with the car at the entrance. Half board you choose lunch or dinner, and the huge buffet and varied sooo, pay the drink and is affordable.

Very bad not back, before a small bug on the other hand, they are unable to resolve it or at its request, I've seen them hide some players of soccer juniors t-shirt because it was forgotten on the Chair in the dining room, when they came back for her, although they knew who it was they had pulled it into the trash, bad food, no I return to that chain despite the fact that I have written them requesting apologies still await response.

Loved it, very family friendly. Entertainment every night. Salou is a nice place. Only an hour (ish) for a trip to Barcelona. Reus is also well worth a visit, there is a Guadi museum there as well as it being a lovely town.

Hotel was comfortable with many amenities: mini bus to the beach, beach/pool towels (10 euro deposit), pool bar, entertainment (games every day and mini disco and a show in the evening hours), refrigerator. Close to the city — 10 min walking way from the garden, supermarket nearby also via this route (spar). Close to PortAventura theme park — 15 minutes on foot or bus to the hotel. Indoor swimming pool and Jacuzzis were good (buy a swim CAP to take or it). By local bus access to beautiful places: Tarragona is beautiful (tourist train is worthwhile to see the sights), Cambrils is pretty (catamaran trip was very pleasant). All in all a good place to stay. Excellent price / performance ratio.
