I have known the Athenas hostel for years and I remember that my experience was very good always in terms of cleanliness and attention.
A few years ago they have reformed it so it will still be better.
The negative point is the price in my opinion.

Great reception staff! Our room was lovely, large with an en suite and a balcony, really great considering we only paid £25 a night, what a bargin. Cleaners came every day and the reception staff were happy to answer our questions. Tip of you stay here, visit the supermarket across the road for cheap snacks and drinks also purchase a metro pass and use that to get into Barcelona, we got a four day pass for only 28 euros. There was also a locker to keep the case in on the departure day so we didn't have to carry them around on the last day.

Recommended for location, care and cleaning service. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very good. The area is very quiet.

This hotel has a cashier on the outside for the entrance to the hotel if you're late. It has rooms with kitchen.
The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Between 50 and 100 euros the room.

Small and simple budget hotel.

Beds are somewhat uncomfortable, but a nice stay for one night. Rooms are fully equipped and computer-based late checkout process went without problems.

Nefarious experience. The housekeeping staff woke me up, even opening the door several times. Surreal. Towels with stains. The receptionist quite unpleasant and showing little interest. Very difficult to park in the area. The bathroom sink, ridiculous. Expensive for conditions and attention.

Quiet, not noisy place 1.5 km to the beach. Adequate prices in local cafes.

Clean, nice staff, nice rooms.

Although a hostel does not have a common kitchen. The rooms that do not give on the street side (but in the inner courtyard) do not allow you to open the windows as it enters the smell of fried and from the window of the bathroom smell of sewage. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very nice tidy hostel with separate rooms. Each room has a bathroom with a shower. Clean rooms. The only downside is the very thin walls, but so in all of Spain.

A fantastic stay. It's a great place, perfectly located, and we experienced nothing but warmth and friendliness from the staff. The manager even recommended a lovely local restaurant and happily took time out to tell us about the history and culture of the city. Looking forward to going back next year.

Visited Barcelona recently and stayed at this excellent budget hostal. It's well located on transport routes and there are great little artisan shops within walking distance, also very well served by local supermarkets. Friendly and helpful staff.

We've stayed here three times in the last five years. The first time was for Primavera Festival, which was very convenient. The benefits of staying in the centre of Sant Adria are the cheap and good quality places to eat, local bakeries and shops and good transport links to Barcelona. It was nice to dine in non touristy restaurants, where local families ate and were greeted like old friends by the proprietor. We were able to walk to the local beach in about 15 minutes. The hostal is 3 mins walk to the tube station which runs till very late. We never waited more than 5 minutes for the train to Barcelona. This Hostal is very clean and the rooms, more spacious than many 4* hotels I have stayed in. Reception staff conveniently spoke English and were always very helpful when we were unsure of anything.

Dishonest Manager: I had my flight canceled and could not arrive the date I planned. I called the hostel to ask them to wait for me the next day. I had to leave a message in an answering machine, since they do not have a 24h staff. When I arrived my room was cancelled because of no show. I questionned them about the message I left with the answering machine and the manager's answer was: "we never listen to the answering machine". Note that the answering machine was answering for the Emergency calls.

In price, for what it is, it is expensive.

For the price that has and how close this Coruña is fine to go to the spring without breaking much pasta. If you want to see bcn and such as I seek another thing. The people are friendly. Forget luxury rooms.
