Go on Sundays for the second — hand street market in three streets around it: books, posters, comics, video games, cards… It's nice to see people of all ages exchanging cards in the corner! There also is the beautiful historical market but it's being renovated right now and need to wait until 2017 for it to be reopen and visit it with the addition of a bottom floor. Temporary shops host the traditional market stalls at the moment.

The Sunday last were in the market of books of Sant Antoni and was all a discovery. Books, comics, movies, video games, lego figures, toys there are… etc. Almost everything that anyone can find.
I was very pleasantly surprised that all stops were very orderly, some, even with books / comics in bags that are stored in good condition. We realized that there are stores that put stop fixed, with which their products are new. In general know if stop is new books or not, by the smell given off by the paper.
Find several jewelry and why not could see neither the half of the market. In one of the stops had posters of movies and we Sin with several, "The Summit Scarlet" and "The Labyrinth".

What a beautiful structure, was there on May 2016. Unfortunately the market was closed for renovation. However I was there on a Sunday and the had a street market nearby selling vintage books, etc.

This Mercato is closed. It is in another building. But! Don't walk through "poor" streets arround the Mercato. They have ability to rob you and you won't even know. You better ignore someone that touches you and asks you if you have a cigarete, it is better if you go fast away from that kind of guys and leave the street fast!

I couldn't find any information on this so we took a chance and went. It is still in a temporary location and doesn't open until 9:30 AM. Doesn't look like the renovation will be done soon.

The neighborhood in the District of Sant Antoni expected to languish once the works on the market to be able to walk around the modernist building of the market. On Sundays there is a fair of ancient books in urgell (between Floridablanca and tamarit), which is ideal to get lost.
I just hope that soon finish the works and we have the best market of Barcelona in Sant Antoni.

It is wonderful to have the market next door: variety, quality and good price (although sounds a little marujil ad). I am a fan of the fruit that is on the right coming from the Pes de la Palla Hall and Ricard I Carme fishing. In addition, increasingly more jobs open in the afternoon — at least few days — which is convenient, since it allows you to buy better products than in both super soon after going to work.

For eco-friendly food head to Mercat de Sant Antoni. The market is held in a postmodern building – its solar panel roof powers 40% of the market’s electricity. Apart from food stalls you’ll also find two great restaurants where you can try some of the typical Catalan cuisine.

I found amaizing books in the market on sunday, if you like the atmosphere of the old stile books you have to go there and you will enjoy it.
