It was a great hostel. An awesome donation based family dinner each night, 3E breakfast each day. Great activities planned for the passive traveler. The night activities (bars) were great. The hostel is small enough so that you create strong bonds with other guests compared to larger hostels which lose the close connections. The employees were nice and welcoming.

Truly the most friendly hostel I've ever been to! As a solo traveler it was so nice that they created such an environment. Also the facilities were better than plenty of hotels.

I had a nice stay! staff was friendly, professional and cheerful all the time. I would recommend this hostel to anyone who is traveling. It made my stay in Barcelona a good experience.

Pros: Amazing time! The staff are so so incredible and everyone is really friendly! It’s great having a kitchen to cook and store food in, and it’s really communal. Love their laundry service, it makes travelling so easy. Cons: I got stuck in the 8 person dorm with some crazy snoring, so plan ahead and book early, they do have earplugs downstairs.

Good price, and especially the workers very attentive and professional, a little noisy when they clean in the mornings and the mattresses of the beds are a bit old. But the attention of the staff, the best!

WOW! This place made my trip to Barcelona an unforgettable experience! The Hostel is located in a nice quiet street with a restaurants just a few steps away. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well as knowledgeable about the area. The staff did a great job bringing everyone together, making each night an enjoyable event. The rooms and bathrooms are clean the only thing is the shower are a little on the smaller end however it still gets the job done. I must say that this Hostel is one of my favorite ones I have been to.

One of the best hostel experiences I have had. The staffs really goes above and beyond to make everyone feels welcome. Free dinner every night is a great opportunity to meet people. The room is a bit crowded but the beds are very spacious. I would definitely come back whenever I am in Barcelona.

Had a great experience! Staff was lovely and the room was comfortable and had enough space with a good shower and toilet. Breakfast was pretty good and costs 3€ for all you can eat (tortilla, meats, hard boiled eggs, toast, fruit and coffee). Looks like they had good cultural events and group dinners and activities but I didn't get to participate due to prior commitments.

Never have I felt more welcomed in a Hostel. A friendly place which encourages a social environment. Met many friends and had an awesome time! Would highly recommend.

Very friendly, active environment. Good, cheap breakfast (3€) and free dinner. Bathrooms outside the rooms, the ratio ends up 6 people to one bathroom. Rooms are small and mattresses are thin. Relatively quiet. Lockers are these huge drawers under the bed you can chuck your whole backpack in, but you need to bring your own padlock. Good location.

Great place, clean and fun people. Super friendly. They have events planned every day of the week that you can join in. Bar crawls and clubs/partying every night.

Great hostel for young adults. Social activities everyday including free supper and a trip to a bar and club.

They are super flexible with their check in timings. Every afternoon there is a park walk and at night a pub crawl. The staff is super helpful and friendly.

The location is not that far from the train station, metro station or bus. You would have to climb a small hill to reach the location. The rooms are great that you have your own light in your rectangle bed. Also you have your own electricity outlet. The service are great with free dinner and breakfast is €2.50 with as much serving as possible till the last person wakes up.

Staff was very nice. Didn't have hot water in the shower. The room is nice but is not really 8 beds dorm as there are 16 beds with some separation. Left not much longer after I had arrived.

By far the best hosteling experience I have ever had! The staff are incredibly welcoming and the place has a real family vibe. Having a communal dinner every evening and lots of activities planned makes it the perfect place for solo travelers to meet people and see the best of Barcelona. I will be coming back soon! I had an amazing time! The staff is incredibly nice! The hostel is well situated, clean and have a really great ambiance. The food is also really good and they organise activities each day to show us around. I reccomend it for sure!

Stayed here for about 4 days, the staff is the best part of this place. They'll go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and right at home in any way they can. Angel is the best host I've ever had, the guy will make you feel like family apart from being really cool. Amenities are always clean, breakfast in the morning and dinner at night are just a bonus on top of all the other great things about this place. Highly recommended. Must stay here if you visit Barcelona.

Although we didn't stay at Paralelo, we stayed at a sister hostel who meets up with them and two other hostels almost every night, I LOVED it there! Talk about a great staff! Never have I felt so welcomed or at home. Such an opportunity to meet amazing people, participate in the nightly family style dinners and hang out with the best crowed in Barcelona during the days! I will never stay anywhere other than Hostel One's whenever there is one after this experience. The rooms are amazing, the staff is the friendliest and most accommodating group of people I have ever come across in my travels. The facilities are the cleanest I've stayed in, showers are always hot, cheap laundry service that doesn't even require you do it and did I mention the nightly dinners!

Giant spiders, noise from party-goers young people the whole night, bed linen with undefinable stains, beds are uncomfortable and squeaking, after the first night, fled.

An amazing hostel! Really friendly, welcoming and clean. Lovely rooms, gorgeous garden space and chill out area. Like a home from home. All staff were fantastic and really put 100% into all their work. Angel, Merilin, Mauro and the others, thank you so much for all your effort and all your attention to all of us. I would definitely like to go back and would be happy to show you around London. I left a Hostel Bookers review giving 86% only because I feel that every company can benefit from constructive feedback but I think that had there been more options, I would have given higher because this place really is great :). This was the greatest stay in our whole trips. From the time we entered the hostel, we instantly became a member of their big family. Angel, Marcos, Marilyn, Natasja were extremely helpful and welcoming. Thanks again for everything.

This hostel is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! STAY HERE! This hostel has the greatest staff in the entire world. Thank you SOOO MUCH Pj and Angel and the whole gang at Hostel One. We had a rough time getting to the Hostel (flight delays from Florence and lost luggage) and Angel called the airline company at least a dozen times. Such incredibly nice people it's hard to even describe. In addition to the awesome staff, the hostel is extremely clean with a fun atmosphere and family dinners every night for only 2.50 euro (there is also breakfast for 2 euro each morning). We went out with a group from the hostel and had the best night ever and they showed us all the best clubs to go. I wish I could go back, and if I ever do return to Barcelona I will surely be staying here. This place will absolutely make your stay in barcelona the best.

1. Before arriving, they sent us a super prior explanations mail! With the best wave!
2 arrived (after a little bit of difficulty, therefore had no plane) and received us very well, they gave us a glass of juice, and a very complete plan that marked with main attractions, good and cheap places to eat in the surrounding area and means of transport to get to high.
3. Mixed room of 8 people. Wide, with shower inside, with hanger and place to dress, very good pressure and temperature of water, at the side, inside the room but separately the toilette, and outside the sink. Lockers available, and if not lock you got you sold very cheap.
4 comfortable beds, here my only comment, to improve, pillows, could be a little bigger lol.
5 Wi-fi available, with good signal, and a Repeater on each floor. In addition 3 PC down, Internet, 24 hrs.
6 beautiful terrace with chairs, tables, coffee table, armchairs, chairs and HOT TUB (Jacuzzi)!
7 breakfast not included, 2.50 euros, PEEEEERO, free dinner for all!, the most expensive meal is free and you get to know all of the guests.
8 dining room and large kitchen, elevator and Laundry service to 7 euros (making them all)
I met Cinthya, Gonzalo, Juan José and Valerio. It felt like family.
The shortcomings I found have been minimal and I believe that my EXCLENETE, can be summarized in two lines I'm going to quote from the talk I had with Valerio on the terrace.

From the moment we stepped in the door, Hostel One was incredible. Instantly we felt like part of a family. Adrian was wonderful — helping us get settled in and planning what to do for our stay in Barcelona, even teaching me how to make Spanish coffee! Angel was so delightful, and made a fun family style dinner on our first night. Cynthia was fabulous, and Dean was so incredibly helpful making our last day smooth and easy! In essence the staff is unbeatable, the atmosphere incredible, the rooms comfortable, the showers actually work, and the experience unforgettable. We'll be back.

A hostel very affordable and with a very welcoming atmosphere, can find people from all over the world and have very interesting talks. The food and service are excellent, and a value, of the best that you will find in Barcelona, not to be so central is appreciated the tranquility and the environment. Don't go if you're going to Barcelona.

They even let you bring a friend, regardless if they’re staying at the hostel — that’s how friendly this place is. Plus there’s free tea and REAL coffee (not just instant) available to you all day. Oh, did I mention… they have a HOT TUB? So yea, there’s that! They have very fast free internet, everything is clean and the beds are comfy, each offering a power port so you can be sure to charge your devices overnight! Not that you’ll sleep much, as they participate in a bar tour each night of the week. Plus they are located around the corner from Apollo – one of the hottest places in Barcelona at the moment – and thanks to their help, you’ll skip the inevitable long lines on even the busiest nights! Simply put — once you’ve stayed here, you’ll keep coming back. Everyone does.
