Hostal Sant Carlo Hotel

Hotel close to everything, however for the welcome do not expect a nice service.
Entrance to the premises at 2pm and not before!
Room quite nice with the balcony that overlooks the square, for cons hygiene limit.

Modest equipment requires renovation. But a better location.

It Is a very old pension, where most of the rooms are indoors and with shared bathroom. To Say that everything is very careless for lack of maintenance, rusty, broken, full of mold, etc.
Say in your favor that the bedding was very clean and the price very economical for the area you will find.

The hostel itself is on the 3rd floor, bit don't count from the ground. It is in a converted apartment and is pretty basic. It is great for the location and it is really quiet all the time, so you will get a good night sleep! Apart from that don't expect anything more and you will be pleased. If, in your mind, you compare it to an English hostel you will hate it. It is a bed for the night and no more. There is warm drinkable water with a shared bathroom, apart from no. 7, which is a private bathroom, with comfy beds, what else do you want.

Main building easy to find. The same cant be said for the hostel itself (3rd floor). Room size was ok but very dirty. Noisy at times with people checking in at 3 or 4 in the morning. I paid a 3rd of the price that most hotels/hostels were charging. Would recommend it for someone on a budget.

It's more of a lodge than hostel/hotel.

The score is low and talking: minimum service (and), two beds, a bathroom outside the window overlooking two walls that bring smells and noises, a totally non-existent insulation (the intercom to wake up at 2 in the morning is an experience that I do not recommend, especially when we woke up four hours later by tourists and team hospitality who chatter) No AC or even refresh solution by the hot summer nights, a room that leaves to be desired. In short, an address to avoid! However, if the price of call — certainly 'reasonable' although the report quality / price isn't there — tempts you, console yourself with one thing: the hotel has for him to be well located, in the heart of Barcelona.

I just spend a few days in December 2014 for a hotel in the city center and as a merchant you could visited several monument without taking the BUS he and economic and very well. Single room the bathroom in common.

I loved it! Expected the worst after reading all the extremely negatieve references but it turned out to be really nice! I think it's one of the cheapest hostels in Barcelona so maybe the people leaving negative references expected a five-star hotel?! It's a small and old hostel in the middle of the city center and the lady working there is very nice although I'm not sure if she can speak English. Booked a private room with a shared a bathroom for three nights but they actually gave us a room with a private bathroom. They clean the room every day and make your bed! The matrass was comfortable and I didn't find any of the bugs the other people mentioned, just got bothered by mosquitos! I would recommend it to all low-budget backpackers that would like to stay in the city center.

AUTHENTIC ASCO! THE worst experience that have had, was dirty, them blankets gave ASCO, general was a horror, the woman that it carries us wanted to charge of more, then wanted to change us of room, and the last day us charging 1 euro. By letting there luggage awhile. ALL the while trying to find excuses to charge us more money, everything was dirty and smelled bad, had a pretty bad. When you go to a hostel cheap you can find a simple site but does not imply that they try to deceive and that this dirty. That is not no one more.
