Comfortable central area to turn Barcelona, comfortable rooms and good breakfast, the bathroom is not much like that of the ferries.

The hostel is well located. The room was clean and the breakfast was very small.

The name identifies exactly the character of this hostel. Small room, very basic with bed, wardrobe destructured, and bathroom in the room. By the fresh and youthful character. Our room was located on the 2nd floor of a building of civil habitation, the 1st instead is the kitchen, where you can prepare your breakfast in total autonomy and without time constraints. The hostel is just a short walk from the Universitat Metro station and a few minutes ' walk from Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla. For short term stays recommended.

A very well located hotel. The room was very nice. The bed very comfortable. The bathroom would need a little renovation. The breakfast in the common room is very good and available at any time.
Negative Point: No window in the room but a window door in the bathroom.

The worst experience and terrible room ever.

Very good experience to be a hostel. I found it expensive but it is that in Barcelona the prices are impossible. The room is small but superaprovechada and arranged. With it's own bathroom.

It is a hostel not a 3 star hotel as it may seem and not as new as you see in the pictures.
The room is small and the bathroom (WC and shower), if so you can call it is less than a meter from the bed, the sink in another corner of the room. All very small and uncomfortable to use.
The cleanliness of the room is not the best, much dust on the shelves, TV and under the bed; Practically only one sweep is given on the visible floor. Sheets and towels also with stains…
The breakfast included is self-managed, all not specified on the site. The only good note is the great location, downtown and close to the Metro.
The price too high x this type of accommodation…

The hostel itself is not bad, we were very happy with the room, which despite not being what we are used to it was comfortable and clean. The only thing that should improve is the kitchen and the breakfast. The first few days there was no fruit, and when it was not enough for all tenants. The replacement and the variety was also disappointing. The attention was warm and pleasant by the staff, of that there is no complaint.

I stayed here a couple of times and considered the price, I found it very good. The rooms are modern, beds confortable and the breakfast is shared at the communal table. Good choice!

Excellent location, one step from the Rambla and the subway, stop Universitat.
Small rooms and bathroom equally small and not spotless, although equipped with air conditioning and television. The furniture is also very impressive.

I've been with 4 friends in June 2014, the hostel is centrally located and convenient to the metro, the bus for the airport and sightseeing tours of the city, and at the beginning of the walk. The rooms are clean and DIY breakfasts stocked fridge, as well as tea, coffee, milk, Toaster, juice, fruit, biscuits etc.
Wi-Fi, PC with the possibility of making reservations or check in, the staff, like being at home.
Only the bathroom we had in the room was not great although clean … for a few days with friends can go!

Chic and basic is pretty good. It's really fancy and you have everything you need. The breakfast is very basic but better than nothing and it can even some photography. It is excellent and you get there quickly anywhere and is in the middle of the action. Highly recommended.

The relationship quality price of this hotel is excellent despite the fact that the room was tiny, was highly decorated, was very nice and welcoming. Due to its location my friends could navigate perfectly well by Barcelona without any problem. An interesting service is the common kitchen, so you can have breakfast with other guests of the hotel as if you were at home, since it doesn't seem that you're in a hotel.

Very clean and modern, very well located and taken care of. The room was small but did not pose any problem. The only thing wrong with it is that the menis in our room had bursts of smell of septic tank (nothing exaggerated). Personally when! it was very nice to have a kitchen common. Live zumitos!

This summer me and my boyfriend reserve three nights at the chic & basic. Has not been must never forget that it is a hostel and is reflected in a large number of things. Our room was the largest, and still, it was absolutely CLAUSTROPHOBIC. To be all-white that WAS NOT CLEAN or was very evident, and it seems to me perfect the recycling, but when you go to a hostel and you find a towel made to serve and hairs everywhere… it Is a frustrated attempt of futuristic aesthetic, but the little detail and taking care of things makes it cost as a little pokey, quite frankly. (Recycling what I say because I remember some sort of poster of how to "Be reusable, do not spend a lot of water or use in excess, take care of the wipe of the pica, blahblah")
