Was expecting a four star hotel (as advertised) but is far from it. Mouldy bathroom tiles, a bathroom that smelled foul (as though a rodent crawled up the pipes and died), no remote for the television, rain water leaking through the ceiling immediately outside my room. Advising the concierge of the foul smell in the bathroom, they came up to the room to spray fragrance to douse the smell. The smell was so bad I went online to look for other accommodation nearby. Beware!

The location of autumn is good, the bed is clean, but the cleaning in the room is substandard, weak Wi-Fi.

Pretty dated and dirty rooms, whilst the location is great, the lack of cleanliness makes this a no go.

It was in renovation but it was in good conditions. The location is very good. As you are walking distance to various tourist attractions. There is quite some commotion across the stress but I found that the lobby and rooms are quiet.

This hotel is a great value. Location is near many activities. My partner and I loved the room and the amenities. We confused the front area that serves free espresso, was not free when we wanted espresso but they were very cool about our mistake. Missing Barcelona one month out.

I want to tell you about this hotel! Well, I'll tell you, you can cut off all their stars at once! The settlement is at 3 p. M. There are no latrines in the hotel, they lead to the room! The air conditioning worked well, the TV is a lot of channels, there are no Russians, there was always water, but the wii fai is weak and then the rooms do not catch! What can I say about housekeeping, just one! The room wasn't cleaned with everything, just pretended to tuck the bed and changed towels and trash through the time thrown away! There is an iron and ironing board. I don't know anything about the kitchen, we ate on our own. And yes about soap accessories the same tin, it is better to take all your own (shower gel, shampoo, milk for the body) as there in the shower area poured liquid soap in a special plafond 2in1 in general!

Staff is really nice and friendly but I don't know how the hotel is considered a 4 start hotel with no pool and no restaurant and no drinks. The shower has a few bits of mould and the soap dispenser for the sink didn't work. The rooms are a bit small and the pillow and mattress are extremely hard. Location is perfect as ya have plaza Catalunya and Passeg de Gracia with in 5 min walk.

Nice hotel in a great location. The room is very bright, brand new, equipped with every comfort, even iron, bathrobe and orchid. Beautiful view of beautiful nineteenth century palaces. Brand new bathroom right from 4 star hotel. I highly recommend it.

The hotel has 4 stars but at most deserves 3. The staff is mostly friendly. One or two a bit less. The rooms are nice and clean. One akward thing, you need to call someone to open and close the window of the balcony in the room. Breakfast buffet is enough, you dont have endless choice but the essentials are there. A minus is that there is no bar where you can sit down and have a late night drink. One more thing, the elevators are a little shady… and they make a lot of noise on the sixth floor. The hotel is situated close to the Metro system in the centre of Eixample. Evrything is a 5 minutes walk. Tapa bars plenty around.

Perfect location near the heart of the city.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was nice, comfortable bedding, large soft towels in the bathroom, free Wi-Fi.
On the other hand, no need to have breakfast, and apparently in a small space, because there is a very nice pastry right next door that serves a very good coffee and beautiful pastries.
There are small details that spoil the room a bit, including a broken shower hose, no toilet brush, a simple glass flap instead of the door for the bathroom.

So much delay in the delivery of the room… from 9.00. At 17.00

The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to the Plaza de Catalunya, the attention is good, the cleanliness not so much, our personal experience was to find us with a lot of heat in the room, like the window that could only open them, since it had no shooter, and not being able to put the ventilation because apparently, it doesn't work until the summer, then we had a furniture bar that didn't work and they offered to leave us their fridge (the reception) in case we wanted to cool down something or some medicine, which I struggled to believe in a hotel of 4 is Trellas, they charge the tourist rate per person and day; We go that there are better…

Oh my god, please do not stay here, they will try to put you in the basement, and there is no A/C — despite the fact that it is advertised to have A/C, Then convince them to give you a room with a window — you walk into the room and are greeted with a musty odor and if you have even mild Asthma will start coughing. The people who work at reception are from S America, not from Spain and dont know what the heck is going on. Please do yourself a favor and stay someplace else. Good luck!

Hotel and rooms are beautiful. Located right in the Museum district and close to public transit. Airport shuttle available but it's just them calling a taxi for you and it costs 35 euro. It's 2.20 euro to walk five minutes and take the train. Great staff and quiet location.

Nice and clean hotel, the hotel is in a great location for everything. The girl at the front desk VALENTINA, really very friendly! He recommended very nice places to eat in the evening.

I don't know how much it was, because the weekendtrip was a gift. The stuff is really friendly and the room is really nice and quite! The breakfast is a bit poor tho…

My son and I stayed here for a week and had a great time. The room was comfortable and clean, shower was great — it served it's purpose. It was a good location for us, we walked everywhere and taxi's are readily available if you need one. There are no facilities to make drinks in the room, I went over the road for coffee. They offer breakfast but we didn't have it there, we went into town.

Rooms were beautifully redone. Very clean, excellent friendly service.

AVOID if you can, check TripAdvisor reviews, not their website. Our 1st room was infestated by cockroaches and it had so many other issues they moved us to a different room.
Hotel right opposite to the Arena nightclub hence totally noisy overnight.
One day the cleaners didn't make up the room (4pm). As of End of Feb it's a building site (and we only found out as we arrived).
Unhelpful staff and overpriced breakfast.
How do they get away with self proclaming themselves as a 4 star?
Pictures and reviews on their website make it look like a totally different place.
Tempted to write a formal complaint but decided this would serve better.

Disappointed that's an understatement. It's central, that's the food bit. Firstly, on arrival, there are major works underway. Not pre advertised on booking site! First room, cockroaches, wobbling taps, electrical socket hanging out of the wall, no coffee/tea and TV remote not working. Took three attempts to get anyone to listen or do something about problems. Room wasn't made up after being away for over five hours. Eventually got moved but defective window and another two attempts to get that sorted. Now room not made up and manager seems to have vanished into thin air when you need o talk to him? Room service arrived after we had told them not to bother as we needed the room. Laying in bed and the door knocks and room service arrives. Really? All in all poor communication from staff and a complete lack of customer service.

Not worth its 4 stars at all The room was not comfortable at all, you are not even free to open the single window in te room, you ahve to ask the staff to open it or to close it, mouldy bathroom, not enough space to store your clothes The lift doesn't go to the higher levels Helpful staff anyway but not enough to compensate the hotel flaws.

Very good location in the heart of Barcelona just a few steps from the house Batllo. The room has heating, TV and Wi-Fi.

The room was very small and the breakfast was good.

We were staying for the weekend with breakfast included. The staff were very friendly and helpful. At all times they offered to serve you and always with a smile. The room was with a double bed, very comfortable, clean and with a very spacious bathroom too. In the breakfast buffet, there was quite a variety of foods like toasts of various breads, varied pastries, fruit, cereals orange juice, eggs and tortillas etc… The truth is that everything is delicious and a great detail that the coffee out of capsules of Nexpresso, being able to taste a great selection of types of coffee. It was a perfect weekend!

Very central Hotel. Very good service. We did not use the buffet because for the price there are many nearby rooms with terrace where you have breakfast contemplating the city.
The room was very clean and with good design though very fair. Very little room to step to the foot of the bed.

Hotel located in the heart of Barcelona. Its location is just perfect. In the price of one night does not include anything, that is, that Bo you enter neither breakfast nor any of the services that another Hotel would include. The room we stayed in was clean and well organized with all the compliments, though very small as between the feet of the bed and the window there were 40cm.

Very nice Hotel, a few steps from Plaza Catalunya.

After reading negative reviews, we wondered where we were walking! The surprise and the stay were only more enjoyable. Perfect location to visit Barcelona on foot (but the Metro is 300 m), staff efficient and very friendly, cleanliness more than adequate. We are very happy with our stay.

I would go back without thinking room (9) Small but very nice room. Parquet floor, spectacular wooden terrace with bonsai and wonderful views (I was on the 8th floor). Clean bathroom and large bathtub. Super comfy bed. Wifi well for basic Internet use (WHATSHAAP/facebook/mail).
Hotel and attention (6) hotel reception too poor for the area and to have 4 stars. Just like the breakfast area. They attended me very politely but wanted to charge me a bond by doing the Chequin in case we broke something. Important: They're doing renovations right now.
Location (10) Central area next to Plaza de Catalunya, Ramblas, GDR Universitat, Paseo de Gracia. Right in front of the hotel there is a great cafeteria/bar to eat (CHARRITO), left a cafeteria and wonderful hot bread point (GRANIER) ideal for breakfast. In front of the hotel there is also a healthy supermarket (VERITAS). Nearby bus line together Granier. Metro and Aerobus in Plaza de Catalunya 10 minutes from the hotel.
Ideal to rest, it lacks a bit to argue that it has 4 stars but it makes up for the location.

Central but to be 4 stars leaves a lot to be desired: Wait over an hour in hall for checkin and before 3pm you can not, they made me leave €50 deposit, small and dimly lit marriage room, non existent bathroom accessories, you have to carry your things House cleaning, the air conditioner was barely noticeable…

Nice hotel, extremely central (steps away from the metro) and walking distance to historic places. 15 — 20 mins to the beach as well. Staff was very thorough and provided good guidance. Recommended.

Clean, modern and well placed to access the city. No tea making facility in the room or English tea at breakfast. Continental style hot and cold breakfast very good.

Bad, it was supposed to be a vacation. Instead it turned into a nightmare… forget it. Recommended.

Stay At Your Own Risk. My wife and I had reservations to stay at this Hotel June 26th-29th 2017. These folks are running a scam business. The room they provided had no air conditioning. The temperature in Barcelona was in the high 90's. They said nothing but lies indicating a technician would fix problem but never did. They provided another room but it was also a sauna. We did a dispute with our Credit Card company and they claimed we were "No Shows". These folks do not deserve to be in business. We are currently fighting this dispute but you have been warned what you are up to if you stay at this hotel!

This is how many stars this hotel should advertise itself as. ACs don't work, no toilet in lobby, elevators don't make sense. Toilet doors are see-through and don't lock.

Booked a room late April for 8 nights mid July, 2017. They cancelled my booking 15 hours before check-in. When I called them, they had no explanation and couldn't care less about the situation. If I had cancelled on them, I would have owed them the whole price of my booking, but apparently they owe me nothing.

The location of the hotel is great but the service is lousy…
The room seems to be clean but right away you realize it's not like that, the closet cushions have a weird smell, the quilt that's purple as soon as you turn it around it's supposed to be white and you realize it's dirty since it has several shades, the bathroom has some stains on the rust tub mixed with gnawing (great, worthy of a 4o), when you call the reception INCREDIBLE no one answers the phone (and this at 10.30am) but that if you hit the elevator button and with that the receptionists have already complied.
The breakfast was very good. The cold food, I asked one of them that if I could make an omelette or warm up because the one they had there was frozen and I answer by saying "there you have it" he took it from where I told him it was cold, put it on a plate and I plant it on my table… all this in the first hour, which means that no matter what time you arrive, breakfast will always be cold…
The waitress service is horrible, the 25/12 ibreakfast there and I saw a customer fall a cup and the waitress (I don't know her name but if I know she's of Arabic origin) she didn't even flout her self to say that nothing was happening, she stared as the client kept picking up the pieces and when she left the kitchen another shop would not hesitate to say that she picked it up.

Yo if you love the dark, hate sunlight and, don't like communicating with the outside world this is place for you! Make sure you book your room here! If your lucky they might surprise you with a room in the basement with no windows and no working telephone. Make sure you ask really nicely to change rooms even as they become available because they wont. Also when you do get your super awesome room and ask to have certain things fixed they will just use the excuse "Sorry but it's a new room. " And nothing will get fixed. Your room service comes right on time at 1700, which I personally love. Mainly because I like to spend time with the cleaning lady when I get back from enjoying the sights of beautiful Bacelona. She honestly is the only nice person here, other than the rest of the super duper awesome helpful receptionists. Just come here it's worth it! P. S. The one star is for the cleaning lady.

Absolutely shameful hotel! After 2 months of booking we arrive the day J and there we are informed that the room is not available and to transfer us to another hotel 20 minutes from car!
Not had information by mail or by phone… disaster especially at the kickoff of the final of the top 14 hours! and
great for a weekend planned downtown! In short, very disappointing and very light for so-called a 4 stars!

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel Location is great but rooms are fairly small and lacking in any sort of information, even telephone instructions. The breakfast area is in what was once the reception area and is not ideal serving only about 30 people at a time. Very often you have to wait to be seated. The food was plentiful but never more than lukewarm. Reception staff were incredibly polite.

The hotel is ideally located. Many means of transport around.
A few minor maintenance issues to deplore: faience washbasin and tub broken, repaired during our stay. Sdb bulb defective.

Service very good but small and in my case the room overlooking an interior courtyard. Very hot in the room and no worked the air nor is he could open the window. Interior design along with the friendliness of the girls the best of stay and cleaning is good although the bath and the shower handle were slightly damaged.

Excellent… Personal of the reception very kind… Rooms completelly refurbished and very nice decorated… I think that I was the first to use the new room… and it was great… :-) Solid Breakfast and EXCELLENT location. In the middle of the city… If I come back to Barcelona I know in which Hotel I'll stay! :-)

Stars one I do not want to wear also. The staff because it was the room that does not work, air-conditioned, while the I said, but said that to adjust, Norarikurari. When you try to use the phone, it can not be used without any place to connect the code. When I asked the staff, and excuse, apology to say that it is commonplace. Hotel room that does not use the phone, is the first time. Unheard!

The room was a dungeon that overlooked a courtyard and the window would not open. The breakfast is bad with greed. Unworthy of its four stars and quite expensive for the quality it offers. The only thing that is good is the location, which fortunately for them will remain the same for very bad things done. For everything else, leaves much to be desired.

The room was ok. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff very kind / / / despite the negative comments from the rest, we decided to stay here. Our experience has been quite good. Our room, in the fifth flat was clean and was wide enough to be comfortable. It was February and the temperature in the room was correct. The only problem, you can not open the window. Very friendly staff. We have not eaten here by what we can not comment the food or restaurant. The location is very good. All that attached to two nights we went for $ 97, no doubt, would stay here.

This hotel is thirty. The personal is nice but not hard working (they look like going to a funeral: wear all in black). The buffet is awful and the food is bad. No assistance there and is small. The parking. NO comments. The bedrooms: it depends of yours but just OK. And in general: bad, bad.

Do not stay here. This hotel was by far one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. NO AC; Vents were filthy; There is no manager on site; If you have a problem, you have to write a letter. The person cooking and serving is the same person; the person at the front desk is the same person cleaning your room. The safes do not work with a code. They work with your room key and everyone seems to have access to your room key. One day we went out and found that someone else's luggage was in our room. Seems that they assigned the room to someone else and didn't realize that there were suitcases in that room already. The hotel was disgusting. If you need extra towels you have to pay for them. It was a really bad experience. We were booked for 4 nights and left after the 1st night. It was terrible.
