Great location, both men at the front desk, are both rude, and arrogant, and not helpful at all. They have no customer service what’s so ever. The cleaners are so friendly! The only thing great about this hotel, is the Location.

A beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean, lovely friendly staff. And so unique. Right in the middle of La Ramblas. Food was excellent and plenty of it. I recommend it to anyone that wants to be right in the heart of it. I also recommend the tourist bus. It takes you to every attraction you would want to see. You can also buy this at the hotel with a discount.

A very central hotel, a short walk from Plaza de Catalunya and the main streets. Kind staff, the first room we were assigned was with window in a light well and very noisy, even in the early morning. But we reported it to him and they changed our rooms.
I recommend it.

Super pretty hotel in a central location. The hotel is located in a small alley in the middle of the city centre. Ideal for a short trip to Barcelona. Near the hotel there are many small shops and restaurants. The staff were all very accommodating and helpful.

I had stayed at this hotel as a loyal resident for a number of years. One day I was having difficulty using their computer system to print my boarding pass. They charge you to print it, unlike any other hotel I have stayed at. I asked the man at the desk to help me and he began to scold me in an embarrassingly loud voice. He refused to help me and continued to loudly complain about how they had no responsibility to help patrons of the hotel. I felt shamed publicly, and very hurt that I, a loyal patron for many years, would be mistreated in this manner. An apology was never offered to me. I would advise anyone to never stay at this hotel because of their mistreatment of patrons. There are many other hotels in Barcelona that offer respect and true hospitality.

Strategic location, a few steps from the Rambla, Metro and bus. Thousands of places near where to eat at good price. Structure dated but very clean, friendly staff that provides helpful advice. Good price.

Ideally located for exploring the Old town. The proximity to Placa de Catalunya and the Rambla make this House interesting.
The hotel is a bit older, but very well maintained and clean. A room in the back area also provides the necessary night's sleep.

Wow. This place is amazing. Staff are very helpul… All speak English and it's an elegant, restored, marble and polished wood compliment to the old city. We will for sure stay here again. Excellent location, plus they have a great hook up for parking… 17E per day versus the local price here of 45E. Close to all amenities. Our room has a balcony and all polished marble and jetted tub. Great value.

Stayed at Hotel Nouvel for 3 great nights. Perfectly situated off las ramblas. Staff very friendly, especially Enrique. Breakfast excellent each morning. Rooms nice size and spotlessly clean. Close Barcelona cathedral, la boqueria and plenty more. We will definitely come back. Barcelona is the best city we have stayed in or visited.

Gorgeous hotel, the best is the location in the Gothic quarter and a 2 minute walk from Plaça Catalunya. The breakfast there is amazing and a great way to start your day of exploring. The staff was friendly, polite and always ready to help and everyone spoke English. We loved staying there!

Great location. Don't trust the pics online. Our room was nothing like what we saw online. Also extremely hot. Told the staff and they questioned our idea of hot. No ac whatsoever. 1 power outlet in room itself so don't plan on charging more than one phone unless one is plugged into the bathroom. Shower is really nice. So, shower and location we're awesome but that's it.

The room was very clean. Location very eastern in a side alley of La Rambla 2 minutes from Plaça de Catalunya (connecting Link ZW alt — and Neustadt) away (intersection for public. Traffic) from the airport directly by Metro. Almost in the Barri Gòthic. Breakfast is sufficient.

The guy who checked us in was great! He gave us loads of information about the local area and how to get around. All marked on a map. Wouldn't have got as much out of our visit without him! The hotel has loads of character and is surprisingly quiet given it's very central location. Recommended if you want to explore Barcelona.

Clean, QUIET despite stone's throw from Las Ramblas. Room small but adequate. No view which suited us as we only used room to sleep after long days sightseeing… And it meant it was quiet in the evenings. Loved that we had a bath to relax at end of hot busy days.

Prime location. Rooms are small and corridors a bit confusing. Restaurant only serves breakfast and is expensive. Very friendly and informative staff.

Hotel nouvel has great architecture and is very convientantly placed in a bustling city. It is near the subway system. It has bus stops, taxi stands and tour guides all within a walking distance. The rooms are modern, spacious, well layed out and clean. The service was friendly and offered help immediately as required. The cleaning service does a great job day in and day out. I would definitely stay again and would recommend staying at Hotel Nouvel to others.

Had so much potential, cuz it's got character as a building, but it seemed like management didn't care. Definitely not a 3 star hotel. No fridge, coffee, tea, water in the bedroom, no signs to direct you to your room, dust everywhere, huge spider web in our room, etc. Shower was really finicky — the handle was hard to move, so if you set the pressure, the temperature would change, and vice versa. Didn't wanna touch the blankets, they looked so old and dirty. Really did not enjoy our experience, but luckily we didn't stay long.

Excellent location just off Las Ramblas in. Central Barcelona. The rooms were very nice as was the hotel. The staff were very helpful & friendly.

Great locations, beautiful hotel, great staff. Rooms were a bit small but worked fine for a 2-night stay in Barcelona. All amenities were great. I would definitely recommend it.

Nice hotel with friendly staff and very central location next to La Rambla and right outside the door are shops and cafes. We had breakfast included in the price, this was what I would call local breakfast. Nice hotel that I would like to recommend.

The receptionists are nice people but lack them much information.
Rooms overlook an interior courtyard and are of normal size. The pillows are too low and do not have another type of offer. Nor do they have dental kit (toothbrush I forgot and it was a hassle because you arrive at night and already there was nothing open to buy one)
Breakfast starts at 8 am. A little later if you have to go to work. But if you have to go before, give you a snack with a sandwich of ham and cheese, a fruit, a bottle of water, a juice, a cupcake and a yogurt.

Fantastic location practically on the Rambla 2 minutes from Plaça Catalunya in a pedestrian precinct with bars and shops, quaint hotel very well maintained with spacious rooms (we had booked a double and two triples) and very clean as well as the large bathroom and provided with Shampoo, soap, cotton pads and shoe brush. Very friendly and helpful at the reception. For those who do not have big claims is the ideal hotel with very good prices, only flaw some services are paid Wi-Fi, safe. Anyway recommended.

We took our 7 year old grandson for his first trip abroad and pleased to say this hotel was very clean, room cleaned daily and fresh towels daily. We were booked in by Elena who was most welcoming, we had a family room at the rear of the hotel some echo on marble floor to be expected but not unduly noisy. Breakfast was worth the extra and we would definitely stay here again, all in all a most enjoyable 3 night stay.

We stayed here for both of our trips to Barcelona, was really impressed first time but must have got lucky with the room we were given, second time wasn't as great and noise in the corridors was more noticeable but for the price I can't complain. Staff are friendly and helpful, location is key here though it's absolutely fantastic, so close to Las Ramblas & Placa Catalunya but tucked away enough that it's quiet. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Stayed for 5 nights in room 136. Air conditioning barely worked and room was very hot. Male desk clerk with grey hair on day shift was moody and unreceptive to concerns or questions. We also had another room and the air conditioning worked fine in that room.

A good basic hotel comfortable its main atraction super location.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, The room was clean, well maintained and appropriately furnished — The Hotel is centrally located with very good PUBLIC transport connection. The connection to the airport is ideal. Hotel Nouvel I can well recommend it.

The strong point is its central location in the city; the cleanliness of the rooms and the staff is very good; the breakfast is plentiful but with little choice; the street is pedestrianised but very noisy; room sound insulation is often insufficient; the price is not low but the line with the standard of hotel.

Nice location close to Rambla and Plaza Catalunya. Pleasant and helpful staff. Accommodation at par with the price range. One major drawback: extremely noisy building! Really without compare. Every footstep up the marble stairs can be heard, and a bit of laughter and talk was enough to wake me up, and I'm not a light sleeper normally.

I've spent a few days in the Hotel Nouvel and I know where I have "my house" the next time you go to Barcelona. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to Las Ramblas, but without the noise of the same, 2 minutes walk from the Pza Catalunya, you have all the things that have to see you reach, very friendly reception, the entrance and the restaurant of the Hotel almost deserve to be included in the guides of barcelona and in terms of the room can not you ask more to a three star hotel, I have been in 4 star hotels that now they would like to have the room that my I touch, the marble bathroom, with a splash of water in the shower and a terrace the sea of quiet; and as for the price if that I saw other cheaper hotels, but they weren't the Nouvel or they had their situation, only what you save on taxis already make it cheap. Cietramente will return.
