We thought the design and decor was fun and engaging however, the air conditioning is set at what seemed 80+ degrees for the whole hotel with no way to adjust for each room and it was very humid, muggy, and stagnant in our room. We asked twice to see if someone could check our thermostat but apparently the technician went home for the day. So we asked if they had and fans or any other options and they answered no unless we wanted to pull the safety cord off the window which it was even muggier outside. We’re from Texas and we’re used to heat but this just made our room uncomfortable and we were unable to get any rest. The food and drinks were presented artfully and creatively but I felt there was not much flavor in any of the dishes we ate compared to other restaurants in Barcelona. The Romesco sauce was the highlight of our meal. We won’t be staying here in the future unfortunately, I hope they can fix these issues.

We enjoyed our stay at Novotel. The customer service provided by Julia and Ivan is amazing, they went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. It has been one of the best hotels we have stayed at.

Absolutely awful experience my cousins and I had bed bugs and they refused to give us a refund I have pictures for proof.

Check in process was the easiest ever. No real front desk per se but welcomed upon arrival and checked in with ease.

I chatted shortly with the receptionist one evening that I was going to see the Barcelona — Real Madrid game. And that I supported the Blancos.
Next day when I came to my room, it was decorated with this.

Nice hotel. It's a bit away from the main attractions but its clean and has nice facilities. Room service not reliable. Ordered our food, Waited for an hour and then called to check and they said 5 minutes for it to be delivered. After another 20 went down to check and was told it wasn't even started. Also Beware, booking taxis through the reception can be very expensive. Airport ride early morning was 32euros.

We had a great time. Pleasant staff even very nice and listening. Breakfast at the top of the top. Even the plates are hot. We highly recommend. They have a special attention to children.

Most comfortable beds I ever experienced in the hotels of this class. Helpful staff. Breakfast to room service was not up to standard but that did not spoil my experience.

Has everything you need but I wouldn't consider it a "Lux" hotel. Service is kind of spotty but they eventually take care of things. Our Wi-Fi went out but they gave us access codes that resolved that. The shower doesn't hold the water in so it kind of puddles on the outside so be prepared for that. Nothing crazy but it does. Everything else has been great and it is pretty clean all over. Would not mind staying again. 30-45 min away from Barcelona city center by public transit depending on the line you take.

Excellent hotel to work or spend a few days of vacation visiting Barcelona. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners without being very spacious have an exceptional quality and preparation. Special mention the great deal and good work of all the hotel staff. 100% recommended.

Nice hotel for families but the sofa bed was too small for 2 teens.

Nice and clean hotel but not sure if four stars. Breakfast was tasty but the same each day so you are bored on third day. Huge minus for lack of veggies — no salad bar, no even piece of lettuce or slice of cucumber? Good coffee is a plus. Location is good, close to the airport, not far from center of Barcelona. Almeda station whitin walking distance.

Nice Hotel, very large and clean rooms, I had a very nice room. Located outside Barcelona but close to several companies that have offices in this area. Good restaurant and breakfast. Staff helpful and very friendly. Everything is perfect, recommended for those who have to go in that area.

Actually a nice hotel if you are looking for small defects.
The pool is classy and also never really crowded.
The food is okay room amenities is top down to small flaws.
It is a 4 star hotel that deserves it, but you shouldn't be too petty.

Our flight was cancelled and we (15 people-group) were sent to this hotel by Vueling. The whole team in the hotel was provided us excellent service. I do really recommend this hotel to every one — food, beverage (breakfast, lunch, dinner etc) ECXELLENT Thanks for everything.

Generally OK. The hotel interior was fairly nice, although the rooms were quite small for a family of four and the bathrooms didn't have locks on! Furthermore, the breakfast wasn't the best and room service was expensive, but that doesn't really matter as you should take this opportunity to eat in the city itself. Spanish food is after all delicious. It was also situated outside of the main city itself, but this wasn't a massive problem as there was a large shopping centre near by (which had cheap, premium products as it wasn't subject to the compelling scent of becoming a tourist trap) and a metro station. The metro is what makes this count. For a good price you can get a hotel in a quiet part of Catalunya that's still close to Barcelona due to train access. It's also close enough to the airport to make end-of-the-holidays transport stress-free and fast. I cannot stress how useful the trains are when visiting Barcelona. As the city is a tourist destination, taxi prices are quite expensive. The train tickets however will quickly show their worth as you can get from the beaches to the suburbs in just over half an hour! They're also air conditioned, which is lovely for a hot summers day. Avoid using the trains during rush hour (about 5ish) as they will be very crowded and hot. Use this time to relax at the hotel or wander the endless shops of Barcelona. The location is what makes this review 4 stars.

Comfortable bed and large bathroom. I went with two children and for a few days is fine. Easy parking and access to Barna.

Reception not bad, garage closed and rooms more than correct for the price. I recommend it.

Came a week for a bike internship, hotel team and direction at the top, nothing to say, room clean and nice, very good restoration.
Easy access by car.

A hotel 20 minutes from the center of Barcelona by car very comfortable and well priced. Breakfast more than well. 'll.

Beware of an attempt of robbery by receptionist in terms if your breakfast is prepaid and requiring paying again during your early in the morning check out. So keep your voucher/receipt at hand. Other services at Novotel acceptable level with some really charming waiters.

A bit out of the city centre but close to a subway mouth (about 800 meters walk). Ideal for leaving the car in the parking lot (12 €/night) and visiting Barcelona. The little Plus for the beautiful days, an outdoor swimming pool.

The hotel is beautiful, spacious and beautifully decorated for the occasion. Malisimo the treatment received at the time of breakfast, we were a large group and could have said things better to accommodate us; Just like at the time of telling us we couldn't spend the good night in the lobby, which led us to ask if there was another place inside the hotel where we could move and they sent us "two blocks" or the street, as if we were free to stay.

It has a lovely entrance. But poor air conditioning in the rooms. Rooms were pretty hot in mid august without appropriate air conditioning. Swimming pool was only for good swimmers as it was quite deep. Pool side music was good though… overall I was quite disappointed with the hotel.

A well-designed small space. The room was modern and clean and the small space had it all. It had a Galley-Type bathroom which had a full (American Sized) tub. Small enclosed shower, toilet, and sink. The room fit a Queen sized bed, loveseat, floating shelve bedside space, TV, and desk. The bed was just okay & the sleeping temp never became comfortable (no a/c controls). I'll try a different hotel before I book here again.

Very nice hotel. The receptionist are wonderful. The rooms are very beautiful as well. The only downfall in my opinion is it's location which is about an hour away from Barcelona. But there are buses and metros that runs very frequently.

Could be a Novotel anywhere perfectly good but nothing really to set it apart. Conveniently located near the metro, takes around 45 min to get to either the airport or city centre.

Amazing staff, very friendly with good knowledge of things to try out in Barcelona. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Recommend it if you intend to visit the town.

Hotel lobby is very clean and pretty. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs. The service at front desk is exceptional, and the employees are very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet is great and worth the money. The rooms were very clean, had a shower and separate bathtub. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows as well. I would definitely come back again.

A great experience ruined by poorly trained staff. The final night involved the receptionist calling security to remove my family from the pool with neither notice, nor fair reason. On every previous night the pool was in use being served by staff, yet this one individual was rude, unpleasant, misinformed and his actions resulted in my son crying himself to sleep. This is the lasting impression he has of his holiday! Disgusting behaviour.
The majority of other staff were very pleasant, though they consistently gave contradictory information and made mistakes.
Location was good, near the airport for our early departure and easy train access to the centre.

Before the receptionist ruined our last night I would have given five stars for overall price vs facilities and location.

The hotel is ok, but unfortunately the surroundings not to go away is suitable. For a restaurant or bar visit, you have to drive to the city centre.

Hard to know if the hotel accepts a family composed of 2 parents, 3 children including one of 8 months in one room family. 4 phone calls for an answer which was positive then a few days later an e-mail the hotel telling us that normally it is not possible but that as the booking is made, they accept.
Basically an unclear position of the hotel.

Stole me the bag in the restaurant while he was having dinner with a front security camera to my. Came the mossos of Squadron and did not see anything in the recording of the Chamber (? ). Then I found out that the theft at that hotel is frequent, almost daily. Very careful because everything is very strange.

A little eccentric (20 / 25 minutes from the centre by public transport) but very well equipped (outdoor pool, nespresso in the rooms with the card silver…)

This is an hotel where you must be very carefull with everyone. I was robbed on the 13th of January in front of the reception and no one cared about. I asked the receptionist to check the movie (there are cameras), because it was a few minuts ago and she told me it couldn' be whtched anything. Don't you think is a very strange way to treat a person who was doing the check out? I had nothig, nor mony, nor mobile, nothig andd she just told me to go to the police. Just that. Very strange!

Bad service. They have a lot of frontage, but are less interested by the customers.

The Wifi is great! Best Wi-Fi hotel I have ever tasted. Perhaps East little busy hotel and is therefore not be…
But the hotel is normal, regular beds. For business this trip well. Breakfast is not the best I've seen (in hotels of the same category), but is more than enough.

Great hotel, good service. The distance to public transport is to big for me. The restaurant was to expensive for what you got.

Rooms are nice although the beds are metal camp beds so every time you or the people in the next rooms turn over you hear a very loud "BOING"! The main issue here is that the maids/cleaning staff have no manners and no English. On my 2nd day I was getting changed after my meeting around 3.30pm, the maid knocked and I said loudly "No, don't come in, I have no trousers on", she then opened the door and walked in. And then gestured at the dressing gown… On my last day, with check out at 12, the maid once again walked in this time without knocking at 9am, when I was still asleep. On both occasions I had locked the door which apparently does nothing. I mentioned this to the reception staff who didn't care. This really did not make me feel comfortable or safe!

This is an excellent hotel. The restaurant is a touch on the pricey side but can be considered worth it. So why didn't I give it all "excellents"? — the tap water smells a bit funky. Is that all throughout the city or just in this hotel? I have no idea. But it left a lasting impression.

Fantastic week weekend. The hotel is clearly focused on business visits. Very good facilities. The attention of the staff. I miss a better restaurant service, even if you offer it to your around supplements more than this lack. Highly recommended.

Stayed here in the Summer, nice hotel with pleasant staff. The restaurant could do with more choice and the food was not kept hot enough. The pool is nice but not really suitable for children since it was the same depth though out the entire length of the pool which was about 2 metres. Within walking distance of train, shops and restaurants makes this hotel quite good base to visit Barcelona.
