It's Not worth It. The surroundings are spectacular, there is an amazing natural swimming pool, with cold and clean water. But The Restaurant is not worth it. Expensive, bad, food has no affection. As An example, we ordered two scrambled eggs for a five year old girl and we were charged 8. €50, as if it had been a children's menu. The service is correct and friendly at all times. Take an omelet sandwich and a beer and enjoy the pool.

In an unbeatable environment; In the heart of nature, 1 Km above the village, is this Hostal Restaurant, next to the green Puddle, ideal for hiking, or tour with the car the forest trails where you can find viewpoints, with breathtaking views; As for the Hostel, professionalism and friendliness of the owner, giving all kinds of facilities and information about the area to make the stay as enjoyable and fruitful as possible, cleanliness in the rooms; Ideal for people who seek tranquility; Maybe a bit of noise in the hallways of the rooms (I guess by being all so quiet any noise is heard). In the menu "cheaper" are €15 does not drink if you want.
Taking into account that in gredos you can eat at any bar much more cheap and of excellent quality I do not recommend no visit to this place, except for the excellent views.

In the kitchen we can find variety of meat and fish.
It has a daily menu at a very affordable price.

Perfect weekend. The hostel which is not which is the Hilton but it is quiet, clean, with good mattresses and ideal for rest, the staff especially the owners, Alfredo and Esther, the spectacular surroundings, climate, vegetation, River, everything in general is the ideal place for a weekend as we break or just spend the day that it takes hour and a half from Madrid. They have a menu at the restaurant by €20.00 you eat a first shared a second as a t-bone steak to me pedi I and a sea bass my girl, a dessert with sweets, ice creams… etc and drink. We will repeat soon, in a month or so are again there. I recommend it without hesitation.

We have hosted us 1 night in guesthouse to be close to some routes in the Sierra de Gredos. Arriving had to wait enough to be served (it was lunchtime and the restaurant was full), there was no one in the reception area. I had read on Google that desserts are spectacular but we didn't get lucky enough to try them because after having waited over 30 min, 3 waiters who worked in the restaurant, none had the interest to offer us at least drink and as they were 16:30 we went to another restaurant.
The rooms are very basic without TV or Wi-Fi, cold, for €52 per night double room with breakfast included. But the breakfast was of the cutrillo I've seen (compound 1 espresso and 2 small toasts or industrial bakery). Ask the other 2 tostadas and other 2 coffees they claimed in total 4 breakfasts.
The area is nice but I do not recommend the hostel.
