It is located in an amazing place, surrounded by high mountains everywhere and away from the tourism that is in its vicinity. This room features a splendid viewpoint facing the valley and all the comforts of the paradores. Exquisite cleanliness. Breakfast buffet of authentic luxury with products of a great quality. Highly recommended.

Lovely rural setting in the Picos de Europa. Creaky wooden floors so, if there's someone in the room above you, your sleep may be disturbed if they are early risers. Rooms are basic enough and food also only ok. Not the standard expected of a Parador.

Beautiful place to stay, delicious buffet breakfast, for other meals better food and a better terrace for pre & post diner drinks go across the road to the Hotel Rebeco. The maid who clean the rooms are cheerful & very helpful.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting close to the Picos Gondola. Only negative no tea/coffee making facilities in room.

This is an oddly charming hotel, which cannot decide if it's want to be the the scene for the next Bond movie or Spanish remake of The Shining. Paradores stands for it own luxury — this is how the Franco wanted it to be and still is. It breathes sixties and seventies, but not in the bad way. I do recommend.

A good place to make a stop.
It offers the possibility to go up to the teleferico of fountain and to admire a magnificent view. It's conditioned on the wheelchairs.
The Parador also has adapted rooms.

Hotel Parador de Fuente De is part of the Paradores Hotels group. Old, dignified and built entirely of local stones. The ambience corresponds to the Paradores style: More old-fashioned but well-groomed. There are a lot of details to discover and it takes some time to see the numerous pictures in the hotel. Great Parador in an impressive setting.
Too bad the cable car was closed for maintenance.
Very close to the highest peak of Europe.
The rest is also excellent.

We went with the idea D to go up to the cable car but that day was maintenance… A shame… Cn which I can not value…

Mountain Parador that stands out for its magnificent location next to the cable car. Spacious rooms, very well air-conditioned and with large terraces.

I was a while ago in the middle of June with the best company possible. A room overlooking the mountains on a summer night. It was a good experience. Good lounges and beautiful scenery. It is worth repeating to return to enjoy such a comforting stay.

One of the great attractions that for me has always been Cantabria is the combination of coastal and mountain landscapes, this propitiates really pleasant scenes, especially when the image of a beautiful coastal town, as is the case of San Vicente de la Barquera, you frame it with the bottom of high peaks snowed of the Picos de Europa.
To enjoy the most beautiful mountain scenery my advice is to visit the Valley of Liébana, which leads you to the interior of the aforementioned Picos de Europa.

One pass in winter is very cozy and the setting is spectacular. It eats very well and the spacious rooms and with a lookout to the beautiful Snowy Mountains.

We recently stayed at the Parador in Fuente de in the Pico's de Europa and made it our base for two days as we explored the valley. Every room has stunning views of the mountains from their huge window terraces. The Parador is just next door to the teleferica that can whisk you to the top of the mountain in under four minutes. What a great place to stay! We feel lucky to have stayed here!

The location is great, and the views are amazing. It is pretty rustic but the rooms are quite big. The breakfast is simply the best I had in a hotel in a long time.

Very good hostel (which do not) at the foot of the picos de Europa, next to the cable car access to routes pedrestres. Well preserved building, with very comfortable public areas (lounge with fireplace in winter go… last) and very spacious rooms with mountain views.
Very good breakfast buffet-style house. Preferred, even if it is a 3-star is much more comfortable, cosy and comfortable than many 4 star hotels.

Spectacular. The environment natural in which are located is wonderful, and the parador, perfect. The room, big, beautiful, beds very comfortable, and spectacular views. The staff is very attentive and helpful. In addition, it has a park for children.

Ants in room and staff could care as they work for Gov. Dated and not clean. Perhaps it's the time of year with season not until June.

A hostel that was opened in 1966 as well as the cable car by Francisco Franco, with very good price, free parking is ideal for lovers of the mountain, without great luxury, very normal, great views, thanks to its unbeatable location.
In my opinion should renew a little more facilities of the parador, are a little old, perhaps the restaurant improve dishes… but in short, this recommended to enjoy the environment with access to activities in the area.

The parador is an Imprescindible. El environment is simply great, quite a spectacle for the senses. It is worth the ascent into the cable car while a theft seems to me the current price which has put cantur.
Enjoy the sunset on the terrace of the parador while the Sun changes the color of the mountains well worth the price of a few cafés.

We went with a gift box, with a bonus of a half-pension for two nights with our pet. The welcome package was nice, but we had to end the stay earlier due to a family issue, leaving paid for a night and a breakfast not to enjoy, to our surprise esque forced us to pay the additional fee for a pet€ 15 per night that we weren't going to go there, besides having to wait more than 15 min to review the room looking for possible desperferctos that would have caused our dog, when the room had cracks in the roof and chip the walls.

We were celebrating a wedding in the Parador de Fuente Dé. The place was simply excellent and the views amazing. The service was warm and friendly, outstanding in every moment of every guest. The food is spectacular. It is a perfect place for a getaway of a few days. We will return with total security.

Fabulous for the mountains, a very comfortable hotel. The rooms are large and spacious even the standard and most have a view and many have an enclosed balcony. The restaurant has views over the valley below. The menu has variety and includes many fish dishes. The presentation and taste is good too. Well worth the stay. Great for outdoor sports and walking distance to the cable car.

A parador precious in a place of story. The parador is located right next to the source of the river Deva. A privileged environment. The building of horizontal lines, with elements of stone and wood, it blends perfectly with the landscape. You can book half board. I recommend it because around there is only one hotel as an alternative for lunch/dinner. The price of this option is not too high. The interior of the hotel is the usual in the house. Wooden furniture and decorative elements of a medieval aspect. The room, spacious, they feature almost all with a glazed gallery. No matter where you see your room, the views are always magnificent. Just next door is the famous cable car of Fuente Dé in a few minutes you will rise to the top of the Peaks of Europe. A tour not to be missed.

Wonderful hotel with charm. Decorated in keeping with the area, maderita by all sides, which makes it very homey. The wonderful treatment and the location can not be better to walk to the cable car that passes over it. Great parking at no additional cost. The rooms are very well conserved and with all what is necessary, flat-screen tv. The rooms have floor to ceiling windows and fantastic, and some even have a small terrace. The restaurant food very good, especially the steak and the cheese board in the area. Only has two floors, and on the top there is a common room with games, a fireplace and a tv, which makes it very homey. If you are hosted you a discount on the cable car.

One of the paradores is oldest located at the foot of the Picos de Europa, surrounded by a spectacular landscape. The staff is very nice and the service is good. The breakfast is pretty good and the food is good. Wi-Fi did not work correctly on all devices, but they have a computer for free public use.

A flying visit through on our drive down. Breathtaking drive to the Parador. Typically friendly staff are a great antidote to the French on the ferry. Huge rooms with great views and (I would imagine) excellent hiking. Will come back when we are on a walking holiday.

Saturated restaurant and cafeteria service. Lack of staff. Expensive for the quality of food and service that can be offered with so little staff. The hostel within the normal in a 3 star hotel. The Parador hotel with very nice staff.

After being on three or four occasions hosted, not could tell which one was most comfortable and they have treated me better. An excellent environment, very nice and very affordable treatment.

I was in the parador and I loved the site and the area is beautiful.

The road from Potes to Fuente De is surprisingly very good, better than many roads in the UK. The scenary is stunning as are the villages you pass through or can see across the valley. Despite it being nearly mid-March thick snow lay on the ground at the lower cable car station, but the roads and car park were clear. The cafe was open and does great hot chocolate. The cable car ride up to the top was quick and the view fantastic, and well worth the 16 euros return for each of us. The top was understandably covered with thick snow and the wind icy cold, but nevertheless, standing out on the edge looking across the snowy peaks of Picos de Europa as well as down into the lush green valley one felt fantastic, as if one were on top of the world, though we were only 1926m above sea level. There were a number of brave, though probably expert, skiers enjoying the slopes despite the wind. The café was open and the coffee and hot chocolate were most welcome and tasted fantastic. We agreed that the journey had been well worth the ride and something not to be missed, providing you can deal with the cable car ride.
