A wonderful enclave, spacious and clean rooms. The staff makes you feel at home. The breakfast boys went out of their way to get churros for me. We were surprised with a thousand details. I recommend you to spare the cheese tasting after the great guided tour made by the director.

The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very nice. A very relaxing place to stay, and I really enjoyed the quiet and peace here. I'd definitely come back again. Staff is all very friendly and professional. Rooms are well cleaned as well. The only reason I docked a star was because the beds could be softer and the restaurant is bad. That dinner was one of the worst meals I had during my trip. That being said, there's plenty of excellent restaurants to choose from in town, so it's not really a hardship to eat somewhere else. I'd definitely stay here again.

If I could give this Parador 10 / 15 / 20 stars I would. It is the most superb & welcoming & relaxed place to stay. The reception, bar, restraint & cleaning staff are exceptionally good, cheerful & helpful.

Beautiful Parador in an old monastery, located in a natural environment, next to the Sella River, just 2 km from the center of Cangas de Onís. Spacious, quiet rooms with spacious and own parking located at the gates of the parador. The common recreational areas are many, such as library, several terraces, etc. The service is good and the staff is always attentive to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Varied breakfast, with local products, perhaps as a small but, the presence of bread and industrial pastries, saying a little less that these products were more handmade.

Very good service, very professional, lovely building. Room is ok. Bathroom needs updating. dinner very disappointing and restuarant a bit like a school cafeteria. Breakfast is good.

Historical building. Spectacular scenery. Excellent food and very friendly staff. Very quiet place, ideal to disconnect. Although there are also many activities and visits to do. Our stay was in October 2017.

The rooms in general are acceptable the setting is wonderful as soon as the food is good but they have significantly reduced the amount so it costs you double and you eat half.

Very nice Parador the spacious rooms and breakfast served in Super room with an assortment of fruit deli by cons The restaurant room well but the food terrible we chose calamari with beans that I refused they got me Brought in instead three grilled meats not terrible either that's why I removed a star.

What an amazing place! Set in the grounds next to an ancient Romanesque church this Parador IS perfect. It has so many things to offer and is a living museum as well. What about a restaurant, spa, museum and the history of the church. It has a cheese bar for foodies! Of course Asturias is one of the most important areas of cheese production in Spain. All set very near the Pico's de Europa National Park. A great place to visit and stay!

Great home base to explore the area. Don't miss the tour of the property with the director (in Spanish though) to get a sense of the history of the place, and the cheese tasting that follows. Friendly staff ready to be of help.

This is the second time we come to the Parador and if the first one was excellent, this one is not left behind. If you could only highlight one thing, the friendliness of the staff would be the choice, but the whole of everything is what makes this Parador great. Our intention is to keep coming as long as we can.

Spectacular Parador at the gates of the Picos de Europa. Ideal to spend a few quiet days. The staff is lovely. There is always a book in every corner of the Parador.

Spectacular stay in the Parador of Cangas de Onís. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The director offered us a guided tour of the Parador, recounting the history and anecdotes of the construction and restoration of the same. The dinner, in the margin of very tasty, was accompanied by live music (piano and violin). Very highly recommended.

The Parador de Cangas de Onís presents not only an unbeatable situation and facilities, but includes activities on a regular basis that make your stay in them more attractive. Its staff stands above average in friendliness and details to customers are unique. Memorable.

I have never been lodged but for me it is an essential place to have a coffee on the way to the Picos de Europa.
It has a beautiful cloister, magnificent corners recovered from the old monastery, a beautiful church that still retains original frescoes and even several rooms with architectural remains with explanatory panels as a small museum. Very pleasant experience.

The staff were very friendly, service was excellent and the breakfast buffet food was the best I've ever had in a hotel. The windows were very good at keeping any noise out but unfortunately I sleep with the window open and could hear dogs barking in the distance. I will book a room on the opposite side of the building next time then give 5 Stars!

… after a whole day on the motorbike, we came upon this marvelous place by chance… and, we loved it!

Wonderful environment, lots of nature. Facilities with a lot of history and well preserved. Rooms and facilities very well maintained with activities typical of the area. Recommended because it breathes quality and history.

We went to see the monastery of San Pedro de Villanueva, which has been converted into a Parador. You can visit the part of the museum and the church freely, without having to stay. It is an interesting place, it has explanatory panels of the different rooms. We had a coffee in a very nice lounge.

This parador has two very interesting details, it is an old monastery, part of the rooms are in what was the monastery and are highly recommended, the other detail is the place where it is located, quiet and of a spectacular natural beauty, the Quality of the hotel is excellent, from here there are many alternatives to enjoy, beach, mountain, routes, etc. Recommended to one hundred X hundred…

A fantastic site that visited a couple of times a year. I really like to eat in the because they have a very good service and it is a place without voices where it invites you to peace. I don't like noisy restaurants. And eating on the closed terrace overlooking the garden is a luxury.

Reception was very smooth with some English spoken. We had a superior room in the monastery itself, which was very well equipped and comfortable. The bar area was lovely — a lounge and seating in the cloisters. Breakfast was excellent — a large choice at each course. The setting was peaceful but also close to Onis for eating out of an evening, and there was ample parking.

I just have lunch at the Parador on a professional journey with a group of 30 other people, but for me the service was not at the high of the expected fit such a beautiful place. And also the food. We just good, but nothing special. At all I was a little disappointed. But to be honest the place is really beautiful, and just for this, a good place to go.

Stopped in for a quick look around and loved this place. Gorgeous courtyard in such a beautiful setting, steeped in amazing history. Would love to stay at some point.

Parador in historic building but also with bedrooms in new construction area. Good accessibility from the highway and ample parking. Helpful staff. Four euros taxi from the center of Cangas de Onis and with two pedestrian routes to enter the city, a parallel to the river and the other on the road.

Lovely, very spacious and quiet although there are some noises. We had dinner there and the dinner was very good, all the dishes with great quality. Very good service.

I really liked the parador itself, but the room was more than one 3-star big. Positive point, the room had a door directly facing the garden. The breakfast spectacular but expensive (18€).
