Hotel Palacio De Luko

I stayed here one night on my way to Portugal from Switzerland and I'm so happy I found this hotel! It is beautiful, inside and out and the room was really lovely. It was also so quiet, which was wonderful after a long day of driving. Noelia, who I communicated with over messages prior to arriving and during my stay, was an absolute star. All the staff I engaged with was wonderful! I had dinner at the hotel, which was delicious. As a veggie I find it difficult to find food in Spain at times, but there were plenty of choices for me!
I have two labradors, who were so warmly welcomed. One of them unfortunately was extremely unwell that night, having to end up at the emergencies (only a 10 minute drive away, which was a relief). Even when I got back to the hotel I was helped and supported immensely, which made the stressful and worrying experience of a sick dog, as well as a long drive ahead, much more manageable. I do the back and forth trip a few times a year and it's safe to say, I will be returning to Hotel Palacio de Luko!

This place is truly stunning in every aspect.
The staff here are absolutely top of their class. Nothing is a problem for them and they work tirelessly with confidence, professionalism and warmth.
The food here is outstanding. The kitchen staff are exemplary with the presentation and taste of their offerings to match.
The bedrooms are just pure luxury, with everything you need for a wonderfully relaxed stay.
I would give ten stars if I could. Brilliant.

Incredible place! Intimate, super high quality, personal. What a discovery! Breakfast is amazing, rooms have great style and it is located in a very quiet, distant place. Loved it!

There are places you stay, and there are places that stay with you. Palacio de Luko is the latter.
My husband and I spent four nights here, and from the moment we arrived, we felt something shift. As if time slowed down and we were invited into a gentler rhythm. The house itself is breathtaking in its quiet beauty. Elegantly restored, warm in spirit, and surrounded by peaceful countryside that seems to breathe along with you.
But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the people. Itziar and Ana are the soul of this place. Their grace, warmth, and sense of care turned every moment into something special. From the way we were welcomed, to the thoughtful conversations, to the little details at breakfast. We felt genuinely seen and cared for. That same kindness extended to the housekeeping and every person connected to the hotel. Each of them added their own presence to what became, for us, a home away from home.
It’s rare to feel both completely relaxed and quietly uplifted in a hotel. Palacio de Luko gave us that, and more. We left with rested bodies, full hearts, and the quiet certainty that we will return.

I don't think there is enough characters for me to say all the lovely things I would like to say about this wonderful Palacio and the lovely couple who own it. We stayed here one night en route to Algarve in October and one night on way back home in December. It's just stunning and super dog friendly. Our dog was even allowed in the dining room. The overall experience from check in, to the evening meal, to breakfast (now that is special) and to check out is exceptional. I hope one day we will return.

After a long drive this is the perfect place to stay en route to somewhere else. Tucked away from the motorway (you can’t hear it) in a tiny hamlet this is truly a luxury stay in Basque Country. The building was a beautifully restored with great AC, the most comfortable beds and super food — no restaurant, but not a problem at all. Best of all it’s very dog friendly and there are some sensational walks right on their doorstep. Just loved it, and thank you.

The reviews are excellent and very well deserved. This is a hotel that has been loving renovated by the owners. Everything is of the highest quality and very special. The bedrooms are immaculate and lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
There isn’t a full restaurant but a beautiful dining room with exquisite tableware. A tasty breakfast is included and a lovely small menu is offered in the evenings.
It is special and peaceful. Parking is very safe. Stay here you won’t regret it.

The Hotel Palacio de Luko is a beautiful, grand, individually furnished hotel. Even though we were the only guests here in mid-June 2024, we felt completely at home. The personal service from the owners was omnipresent.

There isn’t a main restaurant, but a menu offering small meals, which are beautifully served. The hotel has a stately but homely feel, and the rooms are perfect in every way. We would highly recommend.

We booked this place while on a road trip. This place is a remarkable boutique hotel nestled in the heart of countryside. This hidden gem was once a family private house transformed into a magnificent little palacio, offering the guest a unique and unforgettable experience. I was captivated by the elegant blend of old world charm and contemporary design. Everything is a seamless fusion of old and modern elements. A wonderful, peaceful retreat with excellent service provided by the nice couple owners. The breakfast served it was just exquisite. It was an enchanting experience and I will definitely love to return. And they are pet friendly, we travel with 3 dogs and they were super welcomed.
