Gudeok Guesthouse Hostel

Comfortable stay in this guesthouse which is spread over 6 levels. You will find a range of accommodation options including dorms and private rooms. I enjoyed the private room but found the bathroom water pressure a little frustrating at times. The location is excellent for exploring Jeju and the owners speak limited English but can provide information for visitors. Breakfast is toast and an egg which you must cool yourself between 730am-10am. Walking distance from restaurants and public transport.

The room was not quite spacious but warm and cozy. I was stayed in 4th floor, which is a problem for you with big luggage. Breakfast served in common room and good enough. The highlight is rooftop veranda, daebak.

Nice hostel. Pretty cheap, it's clean. Dorms have TV, Wi-Fi and own bathroom.

The most nicest place. The owner is very humble man! The most exciting is their rooftop totally beautiful! Will come again later!

The welcoming hosts. It's a great location. Great view from the veranda. To the waterfalls 15 minutes. A slow step.

Very homely, with a simple but decent breakfast. Good common areas (including rooftop lounge) means you have a chance to meet your fellow travelers.

Pre-nesthouse. Clean, neat, homely. Cozy rooms, there is everything you need — slippers, shampoos. Only in Korea this ingenious notion is a threshold and a hallway below the level of the rest of the house. In January the room is warm, with the 5th floor a beautiful view of the harbour and bridge.

Owner Mr. Kim & his family are good human beings. Seriously, they are! They are extremely helpful. Mr. Kim & his wife even came to pick me up when I got lost around Soessekkak after dark! The hostel is so freaking cosy, I felt at home immediately here. The terrace common to is to DIE for. Location is in Seogwipo city that is conveniently located to cover 75% of Jeju in quarter day trips. I was there for 5 days and visited all the major attractions and had time to look at local recommendations too! Stay here. It's really really really great.

Hostel is generally clean and in a nice location, and owners are nice, and will help you out if you need to know how to get around. However, they have pretty bad memory and may ask you to check in again on subsequent days. They did ship my friends phone back to New York after she left it there by accident though. Overall, would recommend.

Gudeok Guesthouse is homey. Whether you come alone or in a group, you will have a good time because the owners are very friendly and funny, the guests are always cool and the place is homey. Whether the weather is shitty and you have to stay in, you will have a good time. Guarantee! 2 Clean towels, flexible breakfast and very yummy (there is cheese/milk/coffee/Jeju orange juice/bread/jam/butter and eggs) There are 3 stoves … so don't worry you do not have to wait if the guesthouse is pack by many people. I went there last July 2017 and Sept26-28 also 2017. I will go again some day in October and November. It is a great escape from busy life style in Seoul.

This hostel is amazing! Mr. Kim and his wife are so very friendly and shown us an amazing service! They are very kind and help with any request. The guesthouse is located near great bars and restaurants. Public transport is available and nearby too. I highly recommend staying there! Thanks again, we'll be back!

Budget hostel. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Self-served breakfast included. Close to Seogwipo city centre. Airport limosine bus stop nearby.

Gteat location: near the seogwipo market, falls, olleh trail 6 and a lot of cafes and restaurant, coin laundry jus around the corner.

Mr kim is nice and facilities are ok standard. But atmosphere is dire. It didnt help that when I was there it was low on guests. I pick hostels for atmosphere, not facilities. This place is like a budget hotel with very little atmosphere and the owners keep it that way.

I have stayed at Jeju Hiking Inn twice, once in Summer with a group of 5 friends, and I loved it so much that I came back again in Winter. My friend and I paid 35, 000 for a twin room (about $15 each), which was well worth it. The rooms are clean, eggs and bread are available for those who want to cook their own breakfast, and there is a wonderful roof patio area to hang out and enjoy the view. My only complaint was that the hot water took about ten minutes to heat up the first time we turned it on. The owner is extremely kind. He was eager to give directions to the local attractions, changed our towels out regularly, stopped by with Jeju snacks, and even drove us to the bus stop on the day we left so that our bags wouldn't get soaked in the rain. I'm sure there are other wonderful hostels in Jeju, but I will stay here every time.
